Boehner to Obama: ‘This is

Speaker of the House John Boehner delivered a direct message to President Barack Obama after Obama’s victory in the election: “This is your moment” and “we want you to succeed.” “If there’s a mandate in yesterday’s [election] results it’s a mandate for us to find a way to work together on the solutions to the challenges that we all face as a nation,” Boehner said in a speech at the Capitol on Wednesday. These challenges, Boehner said, include the expiration of the Bush-era tax cuts at the end of the year, automatic defense spending cuts,

Boehner should put the original debt deal on the table that he and Obama agreed to, and dare Obama to modify it. Woodward agreed that they had a deal until Obama wanted more taxes. If Obama want to modify it, then a fight for lower tax rates and other Simpson-Bowles recommendations should be on the table. Paint Obama into a corner and show how he is not really interested in compromise. Then oppose everything he wants to do and point to his intransigence.

No more raised ceiling caps which allow the dims to spend more and more of our money driving us deeper in debt. It is time to draw a line in the sand. Enough is Enough!!!

I don't know about everyone else, but I am in a severe depression today. Did not even want to read my internet sites or listen to talk radio. The past 4 years I dedicated my life to the hope and belief that Americans would indeed toss that loser out yesterday. And today all I hear is that we have to ready ourselves for 2016, do this, don't do that. I'm done. The republican leadership was silent for most of the 4 years of this sickening administration and seem to want to lean forward for the next years for him. Just like Bush did not defend himself against the lying media for 4 years.

The only way I see winning anything in 2016 is for us to start getting dirty and play on a level playing field. People who insist we must not sink to their level showed me yesterday what that gets us.

Sorry, but I am sick of how NOBODY in Congress outside of Issa and a few others, are holding this administration in anyway accountable. They lie, they cheat, they deflect, blame others and the left dimwitted Americans buy it - even with unlimited news sources on the internet.

Stocking up on guns and ammo and will sit back and wait and see what happens to this once great nation.

IMO these analyses start out wrong by thinking that Obama wants to improve US conditions and/or the economy.

He doesn't. He wants power. And the more the better. And the ends will justify the means.

Thus Obama has no reason to deal with Congress at all. He has ruled imperially for four years, two with a GOP majority in the House. He suffered no consequences. He was reelected.

Why would he now become reasonable or change? The worse the economy the more he can rule by executive orders and force. No one will stop him. Reid? The Supreme Court?

This is no snow job: President Obama´s grassroots organization has developed a plan called ´blizzarding´ for his supporters to plow into neighborhoods and communities to sock GOP critics of Obamacare, gun control, and climate change as part of its "Action August." While other elements of Obama´s Organizing for Action are planning high-tech and expensive assaults in August on GOP lawmakers, the ´blizzarding´ strategy calls on small groups or even individuals to promote the president´s agenda with a door-to-door campaign followed by hyped up social media. It’s not a new idea, but then again liberals are not known for “new” ideas. Since the 1910’s, progressive initiatives have been little more than a string of recycled redistributive concepts, and innovative ways to reduce the private ownership of wealth. The ‘Inclusive Prosperity Act’ is the latest in a long string of “transaction tax” proposals. Essentially the act would levy a sales tax on the trading of stocks, bonds and derivatives. And while the tax might be ill-conceived, and economically damaging, it was the sales pitch for the tax that proved to be most disturbing.

As long as voters don’t vote more than once, they can pretty much vote wherever they want. If the purpose of the new National Museum of African American History and Culture at the Smithsonian is to remember racial controversies, as the proposed Trayvon exhibit seems to confirm, then how about an honest look at the phenomenon of hate crime hoaxes? Particular attention should be paid to the role of the media in both the Trayvon and Tawana materials. Unquestionably, the media stirred up racial animus, and these incidents both contributed to raising racial tensions.

For nearly a year, we have had no answer to why the administration lied about Benghazi — why it told the world, not to mention the parents of our murdered SEALs at the funeral of their sons, that the cause of that fatal conflagration was an anti-Islamic video no one saw, when the various arms of our executive branch (White House, State and intelligence) already knew, or strongly suspected, it was a terror attack orchestrated by al-Qaeda affiliates. You only have to read the now infamous talking points to know that. That this lie was deeply immoral is obvious.

Two rookie cops heard shots fired near East 151st Street and Courtlandt Avenue around 3 a.m. and ran in the direction of fire, police said. The uniformed officers saw Shaaliver Douse, 14, of the South Bronx, chasing another person through the streets, according to cops. Douse, who was arrested in May on attempted murder charges for shooting a 15-year-old, fired at the man running on East 151st Street this morning, police said.
