There is NO right to vote in Presidential elections..see Bush vs Gore. The Supreme Court ruled that no such right exists.
Therefore, we should be pushing for a LAW stating that only people who PAY Federal Income Tax should be eligible to vote in Federal elections.

Emotionally, I tend to agree with you out of sense of frustration. However, you would deny the vote to me, who spent 6 years in the U.S. Army, went to college and graduate school, then worked 25 years in my career. Became ill from some things that happened in the military, and fortunately I had good support at the VA, and was able to have granted a 100% disability for PTSD and I have Social Security. Both of which are non-taxable along as I don't go crazy and try to work in mental health again at 68 years old. You sure you want another bureaucracy to separate the wheat from the chaff on this issue, #8?

Only property owners and taxpayers should be the voters in federal elections. Both those criteria illustrate basic competence.

If you couldn't find and hold a job, if you can't find a means to feed yourself beyond charity, if you are illiterate and unable to answer basic questions about our country and government, you are unlikely to make good decisions affecting the rest of us.

Vote for your state's officers if your state allows it, but no second or third or fourth generation parasite should have a vote in weighty matters they are not capable of understanding.

I am disgusted with those of you who think voting should only be allowed to those who work, pay federal income taxes, and own property. Should there be a government agency who handles this program? Or maybe just use the IRS to create another form far and away from their original mandate? Obama has already done that with his Obamacare monster. You are playing right into the hands.
