55 million people inexplicably voted to reelect a demagogue and unabashed ideologue, with a four year record of radicalism, over a pragmatist and good man. So, Obama will continue to steer the Ship of State toward socialism, and I don't see anything that would cause him to reverse course. He will have four more years to transform America: four more years to trash our economy in the name of fairness; four more years to weaken our military; four more years to make us even more irrelevant in a dangerous world; and four more years to ensure that Republicans never regain the White House. Democracy survived Obama's first term; I don't believe it will survive a second.

Yes, Republicans kept the House. So what? An honorable president would be checked by a House held by the opposition. Obama has shown he is not an honorable man, and he will not be bound by that hoary Constitutional concept of "checks and balances."

If it's as bad as I think it will be, millions will regret their vote, and our children and their children will curse us for what happened last night. And it won't take long: wait until Obamacare really kicks in; wait until people finally begin to realize that a high unemployment rate and anemic economy are natural consequences of Obama's vision; wait until they finally notice drastically deteriorating race relations.

An aside: I am laying down my satirist's pen. Humor involving this man, his administration, and his Party is now, in my view, misplaced. There is nothing to laugh at any more.

#3 I couldn't agree more. If we had only followed the Constitution, Obama would not have happened. Now there is a precedent of ignoring the eligibility clause of the Constitution. Next time the Republicans should nominate Bibi Netanyahu. He comes closer to being an American than Obama.

It's time to take a deep breath and develop a better plan for moving forward. The first step will be to jettison the northeastern liberal RINO block. And they thought they were doing that with Mitt Romney. Too bad we didn't realize until the first debate that Romney really knew what he was talking about.

The old view of not defending yourself against lies and more lies just doesn't cut it in today's world. It's a shame we have a nation of 50% that vote for a man because of his skin color and because he appeals to their narrow desire for what they think will benefit them in the short run.

We will need a big picture guy with real vision, not someone to argue about fine tuning laws in place.

Now is the time to really get tough in the House and refuse to negotiate with the moron elect. He does not know how to negotiate. Perhaps it is time for Boehner to step aside and let someone Obama hates with a passion, like Eric Cantor, lead the negotiation. We must not allow Obama to decide who the Republican leaders are.

Plan for increasing the majority in the House in 2014. Develop a plan and candidates to take the Senate.

Along the way we must learn from the Democrats and support our candidates. The Republican leadership squandered two Senate seats that could have been won. Stupid mistakes that will last for six years.

I have been a lurker on this web site since the late 1990s. Ever since, I have started every day by coming to this site and reading the decent,intelligent,insightful, and witty comments. This morning I was in tears, and I have never cried after an election in my life. I cannot tell all of you how much it means to me to have a forum of like-minded people with whom I can share my sorrow and despair. I honestly don't know how to go on from here, but I can tell you one thing: I will never give up. I will never give in to this socialist poison and will go to my death fighting it tooth and nail. I was in the dumps for about eight hours. But realize two things: (1) this is MY country too. The House should begin a "have no mercy and take no prisoners" investigation of the Benghazi terror attack murders. I want to see military leaders testify that they were not ordered to defend Americans in Benghazi, or they were told to stand down when they informed the white house they were asked to defend. Compare the Benghazi murders to Watergate. I rest my case.

The President knows only one path, Government Control. The full extent is going to be exposed quickly. Industry will need to spend $800 billion just to keep their current plants open. GM and Chrysler are doing their next expansions in China. Taxes on the wealthy won't come close to providing needed revenue so its time to break out the carbon tax. ICE is letting illegals stay, so they need some middle class white guys to give up their jobs to help the dreamers succeed.

Hey, they Voted for this stuff on their own free will. I don't get it and am very dissapointed. But maybe this thing has to run its course. The pain of this disease/experiment hasn't really hit yet, but it will. Romney would have never had a chance to do anything with the media we have anyhow.
