Obama Victory Comes With No Mandate

| Barack Obama won a second term but no mandate. Thanks in part to his own small-bore and brutish campaign, victory guarantees the president nothing more than the headache of building consensus in a gridlocked capital on behalf of a polarized public. If the president begins his second term under any delusion that voters rubber-stamped his agenda on Tuesday night, he is doomed to fail. Mandates are rarely won on election night. They are earned after Inauguration Day by leaders who spend their political capital wisely, taking advantage of events without overreaching. Obama is capable

Comments: Looks like he won a 2nd term by the smallest margin ever. If you thought the first term was a disaster, wait until you see the second.

I've been posting here for several years and this will be my last.
His mandate is socialism and he will do it through dictate. This 'European entitlement' voting block means that this was our last free election. From here on out O will give citizenship to anyone who walks across the border. Those are the same people who multiply 4 times faster than domestic citizens. One can hope and protest all they like but the numbers no longer work out. There will be blood before freedom. 236 years, We had a good run America.

A lot of us here on these pages do not yet get it. The demographics have changed. They outnumber us now. As Phil Graham, the old Texas Senator, use to say, and I paraphrase, "There are more people in wagon than there are pulling the wagon." And it's not going to change back anytime soon.
America, as we knew it, is over. We gave it away. Now, if enemies allow, it will not so slowly morph into a new manifestation of some kind. Probably some flavor of socialism. That won't last long because it will soon run out of money. There are interesting times ahead for the younger ones among us and our children and grandchildren.
I must say though, I count myself lucky to have lived almost all my life in the best of times, in the heyday of this great Nation. And I never took it for granted.

Romney ran a good campaign and deserves a lot of credit. He was wrong about only one thing at that was his underestimation of the takers. As it turns out it was not 47%, but instead 51%. The demographics of this election are scary as they are so divided along racial lines. There is a very angry population of people in this country who feel entitled to what others earn and they have just become a majority.

Greatest Generation MY EYE! They fought against communism, nazism, socialism? I think not.
They gave us the most selfish spoiled generation ever seen in this country. The 60's generation (most of them anyway). Not only did they NOT fight communism, nazism and socialism...they were infected and brought it back to this country and poisoned the well for all of us.
What a waste of blood and treasure....whe have everything they supposedly fought against right here, right now.
They indulged their brats and gave in at every turn. Thanks for nothing.
This is not my country, just where I live from now on.

There is a wonderful quote that has been making its way around the internet over the past year. It apparently was translated from an article published in the Czech Republic newspaper Prager Zeitung last April and reads as follows:
"The danger to America is not Barack Obama but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the Presidency...Blaming the prince of the fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince. The Republic can survive a Barack Obama, who is, after all, merely a fool. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools such as those who made him their president."

I just heard on the radio that fewer republicans voted than in 2008? What the heck?!! Why is that? That, plus the fact that we are totally outnumbered by minorities and shrinking daily. My guess is we will never when another election. Don't overlook the fact that Obama's "blackness" helped him win this election also.

They stole Virginia. Romney was up 3 points and it changed over night. The voter fraud is so huge that it may have required both sides to be in on it. Scary. Remember the Bush's won last night too....if Romney wins the Bush dynasty is over. Hence Christy. This election was stolen.

I have been on my knees praying that 0 would be a 1-termer since November 2008. The Lord chose not to say 'Yes' to my prayers. I also believe that he is giving the country over to what it seems to want as a poster above indicated ~ as a be careful what you wish for. I will continue to pray for mercy since I really don't feel this country deserves the Lord's blessing. Who would want to bless someone who has kicked him to the curb?? My hope is that 0's re-election is part of a larger plan in the Lord's mind. He does, after all, bring good to those who love and serve him. I am beyond disappointed in yesterday's outcome; the only way I can get through this is with faith in the Lord's ultimate plan ~ whatever that may be. Keep looking to HIM and not to the government. HE is still in control today as he was yesterday and all the days to come (despite what 0 thinks.)

GOD IS NOT DEAD. He answered my every prayer. We had an intelligent, emotionally reasonable, morally clean candidate with the ability and the will to reverse the decline in our economy. It was up to the American people to choose. And, barring yet undetected outright fraud (which by the way I am not), they did. God ordained government. And, our form of government is to vote for our leaders. God never overrides our choices - personal or otherwise.
I keep hearing the words of Moses (Deut. 30:19) "Behold, I set before you life or death; the blessing or a curse. The choice is yours" (my paraphrase.)
Today, I can't stop the tears. I will mourn one day then, get on my knees and ask God to show me and the rest of us who are awake how to find each other and position ourselves to stand.

The Old Diane Sawyer TV Mafia Media is totally responsible for that 10% of stupified Taker voters, legal and illegal, that voted to kill America as the dollar collapses. And worse, all voted as America watches Greece, Spain and Europe go broke from all their own fake Euro money entitlements. Our entitlement Takers want to get all the freebies they can while the dollar still has a little value left over from all the printing and diluting. At this moment, we have the true American revolution already in place with half the population more Tea Party active than EVER. BUT nobody is attacking the true cancer, the TV Mafia of rich penthouse living, limo driving VIP party attending, Media Traitors, ALL OF THEM, yes even many on FoxTV. The Sawyers/Brokaws/Riveras have brainwashed just enough of the nation to willingly, blindly, vote their own destruction. Our own spokespeople: Rush will not attack, Mark Levin, Hannity, Michelle Malkin, Prager, NONE OF THE GOOD GUYS will open fire on their fellow news colleagues, their fellow union members. Not even FoxTV will take shots at the daily 24/7 0f network brainwashing Traitors to the Truth ! The only win for our side of freedom, is that EVERBODY who believes in a free, open economic society, RIP THE OLD MEDIA TO SHREDS ! And while we’re at it, start paying attention and boycott the large corporate lobbying TV and press sponsors of this massive Joseph Gebbels contrived Propaganda conspiracy. It’s the media, stupid, the criminal aiding and abetting media.

The one who has it together is Glenn Beck. He's determined and ready to start with the children.
I despise ABC, NBC,CNN, CBS, & MSNBC. They are corrupt and lying.
Harry Reid intends to do the nuclear option so that he can ram through his will in the Senate.

I've figured part of it out. In northern Colorado, there were signs for Romney everywhere. Rarely a sign for Obama. But Marijuana was on the ballot - so guess what - that brought out the young to vote, and that helped Obama get over the top. It's the candy being offered (like Rush said - it's hard to vote against Santa Claus).
My plan is that whenever I hear someone complain now about their electricity bills, groceries prices, medical, lack of business, the economy, etc., my answer will be "ELECTIONS HAVE CONSEQUENCES!! WHO DID YOU VOTE FOR?"

LOS ANGELES -- flocking to Southern California beaches are used to feeding the meter or paying a parking attendant. Not so along the less developed north coast where it´s customary to ditch cars on the shoulder of Highway 1 to surf, swim or picnic. That sandy line that long defined the state´s disparate beach culture may soon fade. In search of new revenue, the state parks system is eyeing parking fees for parts of the Northern California shoreline where none existed or considering hiking rates to visit popular beaches south of Los Angeles during peak periods.

Palm Beach, Fla. - On a Monday morning in March, small business owner Mike Ruffer told a group at the Heritage Foundation in Washington, D.C, how his eight Five Guys Burgers and Fries franchise restaurants in North Carolina were faring under the Affordable Care Act, known as Obamacare. Five hours later, the backlash was so intense he had to wonder if that 15-minute speech might kill his company. In fact, Mr. Ruffer is the most recent victim in a troubling pattern of seemingly orchestrated campaigns to silence small business owners who speak out about President Obama’s agenda.

WASHINGTON - The number of Americans filing new claims for unemployment benefits climbed last week at the fastest pace in six months, a worrisome sign for the economy which has been hit by government austerity. Initial claims for state unemployment benefits jumped by 32,000 to a seasonally adjusted 360,000, the Labor Department said on Thursday. That was the biggest jump since November and confounded analysts´ expectations for a more modest increase. Claims for the prior week were revised to show 5,000 more applications received than previously reported. A Labor Department analyst said no states had estimated their data

WASHINGTON — Faced with a trio of controversies, President Barack Obama is trying to halt a perception spreading among both White House opponents and allies that he has been passive and disengaged as unexpected developments consume his second term. The new strategy, underscored in a flurry of new White House actions, signals an Obama team anxious to regain control amid controversies that have emboldened Republicans and threatened to plunge the president´s second term into a steady stream of congressional investigations. On Wednesday, Obama released a trove of documents related to the Benghazi attacks amid revived pressure from Republicans.

President Barack Obama angrily batted away questions Monday about his administration’s response to the Benghazi attack, calling the recent furor over edited talking points a “sideshow.” Less than a week after emotional testimony in the House of Representatives brought the conservative obsession with Benghazi into the mainstream, Obama tried to contain the damage by framing the GOP focus on the attack as politically driven. “We dishonor [the victims] when we turn things like this into a political circus,” Obama said during a peevish joint press conference at the White House with British Prime Minister David Cameron.

On Benghazi, it seems, what you see depends on where you sit. The controversy over the government´s handling of the September 2012 attack on a U.S. diplomatic facility in Benghazi, Libya, yielded two starkly divergent interpretations from Democrats and Republicans on Sunday. Democrats charged Republicans with making hay out of tragedy to tar President Obama´s administration with an unfair taint of scandal and put a chink in the armor of potential 2016 juggernaut Hillary Clinton. Republicans, for their part, fired right back, accusing Democrats and the State Department of orchestrating a "cover up"

What did President Obama do on the evening of 9/11/12 when our men were under attack in Benghazi? The invaluable Andrew McCarthy reminds us that Obama and Secretary Clinton had a 10:00 p.m. phone call of which many (including, I think, Chris Wallace) have lost sight. This morning when Wallace asked Obama aide Dan Pfeiffer what Obama was up to that evening, Pfeiffer declared the line of inquiry “offensive.” Translation: Obama and his minions would prefer to “move on” and are warning the likes of FNC off:(Snip for video)The Weekly Standard’s Daniel Halper has posted the rush transcript

It began in earnest last Friday. A flash mob of latte drinking, tofu eating media that has done its best to quell, rather than fan the flames of truth, turned on one of their own. Jay Carney lay bludgeoned at the base of the podium, a victim of friendly fire. Ironically, the attack was reminiscent of the one in Benghazi he has repeatedly denied the Administration he represents bears any responsibility for. “Changed twelve times?!” came the cries. In the wake of one of the worst abuses of government power in recent history, many are rushing to frame the Internal Revenue Service scandal as simply an attack on conservative activists. That view risks creating a partisan political football and misses a fundamentally scarier abuse that exceeds the scandals of Watergate or any other prior government abuse. The IRS has admitted that since May 2010 it targeted grassroots-conservative organizations that had applied for tax-exempt status, unfairly subjecting them to rigorous scrutiny due to their political leanings. Such groups were told they were required to comply with IRS requests,

Treasury Secretary Jack Lew on Friday urged congressional leaders to raise the debt limit and insisted that the White House is not going to negotiate over the increase because lawmakers have "no choice." "We will not negotiate over the debt limit," Lew wrote. "The creditworthiness of the United States is non-negotiable. The question of whether the country must pay obligations it has already incurred is not open to debate." Lew said that while President Obama is willing to discuss plans to reduce the nation´s deficit with Congress, those talks must be kept separate from any effort to raise the nation´s debt cap.

PRESIDENT OBAMA: You are the mantle of Frederick Douglass and Booker T. Washington and Ralph Bunche and Langston Hughes and George Washington Carver and Ralph Abernathy and Thurgood Marshall and, yes, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. These men were many things to many people and they knew full well the role that racism played in their life. But when it came to their own accomplishments and sense of purpose, they had no time for excuses. Every one of you has a grandma or an uncle or a parent whose told you at some point in life

The Internal Revenue Service´s watchdog told top Treasury officials around June 2012 he was investigating allegations the tax agency had targeted conservative groups, for the first time indicating that Obama administration officials were aware of the explosive matter in the midst of the president´s re-election campaign. The disclosure to the Treasury general counsel and the deputy secretary was a cursory one, according to J. Russell George, the Treasury inspector general for tax administration. He said he didn´t reveal conclusions of the probe, which was in its early stages, and his disclosure came as part

There was a running joke in the fall of 2008 that John McCain should simply re-air Hillary Clinton’s “3 a.m. phone call” ad, which highlighted Barack Obama’s lack of experience and meager knowledge of world affairs, and just tack on “I’m John McCain, and I approve this message” at the end of the ad. The point was that thanks to the bitter primary battle between the Clintons and Obama, Democrats had already developed the most effective lines of attack against Obama, and Republicans needed only to nod their heads in agreement. Something similar is taking place

Michelle Obama on Friday urged black youth to stay in school instead of dropping out to become a "baller or a rapper." The first lady, speaking to graduates at Bowie State University, a historically black college, criticized the worship of sports stars and celebrities. "Today, instead of walking miles every day to school, they’re sitting on couches for hours playing video games, watching TV," she said of black youth. "Instead of dreaming of being a teacher or a lawyer or a business leader, they’re fantasizing about being a baller or a rapper."

Two Congressmen are asking the Treasury Department if it inappropriately scrutinized conservative-owned businesses the same way it targeted Tea Party groups filing for tax-exempt status. Republicans Mike Kelly (PA-03) and Jim Renacci (OH-16) circulated a letter Thursday requesting Treasury Secretary Jack Lew to release documents detailing the process and methodology the Automotive Task Force used to shut down General Motors dealerships in 2009 during the automotive industry crisis. Renacci´s Northeast Ohio Chevrolet dealership was closed in 2010 after losing a battle with General Motors. Congress loaned General Motors $50 billion in 2009 after GM declared bankruptcy, which resulted
