Five ways the mainstream media
tipped the scales in favor Obama

Fox News, by Rich Noyes

Original Article

Posted By:Vastrightwingconspirator, 11/7/2012 12:48:41 AM

Fox News and other media outlets have projected that President Obama has been reelected to a second term. If, in celebrating his victory Obama wanted to give credit where credit is due, he might want to think about calling some of America's top journalists, since their favorable approach almost certainly made the difference between victory and defeat. 1. The Media’s Biased Gaffe Patrol Hammered Romney: The media unfairly jumped on inconsequential mistakes — or even invented controversies — from Romney and hyped them in to multi-day media “earthquakes.”

Sad that America rewarded such a dirty campaign. Between the nasty and hate spewed from Obama, Biden and their supporters this was a shame for America.

Runner up to the media is NJ Gov Fats Domino. He helped give Obama a 2 point lift from his ridiculous behind kissing, which is the difference in this race in most states.

Me, I'll live my life the best I know how and hope this country will one day awake from this nightmare of debt, give outs and takers.

We have all known for years that the media was and is biased. Blaming the media for being biased is like blaming a tiger for being striped. The question isn't what to do "about: a biased media, the question is how to prevail "in-spite" of a biased media.

I will freely admit to being shocked at how overtly biased the media was this time around. And I wonder ...... now that Obama has been re-elected by a moronic majority, will the press now start doing its job. Now that Obama is safely re-elected, will they report actual job numbers, report on Benghazi, fast and furious, the small arms treaty etc etc etc. ???

Any and all charities: look elsewhere for contributions, not to me. You are getting all you need from your socialist government. Tomorrow I'm going to see if I can get an Obamaphone! Why not? Everyone else has one! Four more years of not flying my flag because I am not a socialist. Why a compassionate God let this happen to this formerly wonderful country I will never understand. We are doomed. I cry for every one of you who have served or now serve our country. It was not to have a socialist for a president, I am sure. I know one thing. He is not MY president; never has been. I am sick, sick, sick.

The United States of America has just abdicated its role as world leader. The vacuum will very soon be filled - by an other, and far less benevolent, power.

It's not just the media, it's the schools, universities, professors, teachers, celebrities etc.

It's all the leftists who hate America. We'll be lucky to survive not just Obama but all the leftist traitors and scum that he puts into our government. Hell, they're already there. Will we have any military by the time this is over? We're now very vulnerable to foreign attack anywhere in the world. Obama will do nothing to defend us. This is just part of his, Soros and God knows who's else plan to destroy us from within and now very probably without.

There is more than enough blame to go around for this catastrophe, from the MSM to Christie, to the markets which seem to like QE, to the venal and evil politicians who indulge themselves like hogs at their feed.

Now, we will have to deal with the fallout. As #6 says, that will be ugly. Let us hope it is not literal fallout.

Chris Christie was a huge factor. Instead of crying all of the time about the media, Republicans need to work on getting their message out. Need to work on changing the brainwashing of tithe kids in the schools.

With a Romney concession, will there be any investigation into the fraud? Can the House do it since we know that Holder won't?

By the way, I see people telling everyone to become viciously political. Leave services providers that are Democrats for those who are Republicans. Make them suffer for their politics the way Republicans have. Alinsky. I'm not sure it's in my nature to do that, but it's pretty much all we've got left, it seems.

Congratulation to those of you who voted for Obama. By doing so, you have said its ok that Americans have been murdered and no one has paid for it, doesn't matter that he has borrowed us into a never-ending debt, doesn't matter that our taxes are being sent to foreign countries to aid terrorists, does not matter that so many companies went belly-up and hundreds lost their jobs....that's ok....you forgive him.
You will one day look at each other and ask "What happened to America? And how did it happen? You have only to look in the mirror.
There's blood on this presidents hands. How much more will there be?

What we have just learned: the reach and influence of the criminal enterprise known as the MSM is still vastly more powerful than that of any alternative media. We had better stop kidding ourselves otherwise.

The large information and media based operations mostly run out of NYC by liberal Democrat supporters made billions of dollars running ads given them by both campaigns. They are not about to retire, and will be back much more partisan when it is time for the run up to the next election.

It wasn't the media's fault. It was America's fault in turning away from God.

This country was founded on faith in our Lord. Our forefathers placed their destiny in God's Providential will.

Our amazing country has fallen from God's grace simply because we have turned our backs on God.

Many up here agree with me on this, and many are afraid to admit that what I said is true, but they do understand what I said.

This country was great for 200 years, but during its latter years it began to get full of itself and God was left out of the equation.

WWII found the majority of Americans on their knees praying forgiveness to God for not seeking Him. Now we sit on our butts and complain about what went wrong.

We went wrong. We glorify the TV, the talk show, some celebrity, some website, or some video game. We do not glorify God, and acknowledge Him.

Some of us here wrote that they spent the last few days praying. Or they spent the evening praying... Why do they think a couple of wayward prayers a couple of times every 4 years will have any impact?

They should have been on their knees ever since we all knew Obama was going to be our president 4 years ago. And even better if they did it long before then.

Get real people. WE are the guilty ones. Not the media or anyone else. Quit being victims and take responsibility.

I pan to be every bit as as cooperative as Democrats were after 2004.

We have 30 governors and two years to work on getting good Senate candidates. First step- voters ID and an end to early voting. It is too hard to monitor in big cities.

I too am done, and for all those who say there is a chance I wish I could agree. They have the schools, the media, and the courts. There is absolutely no way the house can do anything, especially with Bonehead as leader. As others have pointed out, we have a lawless regime running this country and an electorate that just want's free stuff. I really prayed that God would lead us through this nightmare, but sadly not enough people saw the light. In conclusion, I lay this whole disaster at the feet of the RNC, there were too many people left over from the McCain campaign running things. How is it that so many of us here on Lucianne knew that they needed to take the gloves off and fight the media in order to have a chance? But no, they played it safe and coasted home. I do not blame Romney but one name comes to mind, and that is Dan Senor. Like many others, I mourn the loose of our once great country, think of what is coming; card check, more czars, the end of coal and cheap electric, more regulation and let's not forget the full implantation of 0bamacare.

I find it hard to understand how anyone other than a dem can get elected with all the help the LSM gives them. However, two bright spots for me 1)Jeff Flake beat the O's hand picked, carpetbagging, lap dog and 2)we still have Sherrif Joe to give them h-e-double toothpicks. I know the O's win is very depressing but, really folks, we just can not give up. I can't, I have 19 grandchildrens futures to think about.

Pray for a better day.

Josh Mandel, running for senator in Ohio, had an ad that said, if you want to change Washington, you have to change the people you send there. After last night, I realize the problem is not just the politicians, but rather it is the media who are controlling and manipulating the information a democracy needs to survive.

The gimme group isn't big enough to do this on their own. Who pushed it over? Women? None of this adds up. BHO lost voters from every group, unions, blacks, Jews, Catholics, business, evangelicals, etc. Romney had the crowds, the money, the debates, the McCain votes, the independents, the white males ... where did he get the votes? The media helped him but who voted for him?

Reply 34 - Posted by: stryker714, 11/7/2012 7:57:10 AM     (No. 8995403)

Yes, it's hard to believe that with the wretched/poor performances of Obama, across the board, the media smokescreen could make that much difference. Just think what a short term memory all the pro Obama voters have, if they even knew of his misdeeds. Did Hurricane Sandy, Obama making a visit to the area, the bear hug etc, at the LAST MINUTE, really make that much difference to the short-sighted voter? Guess so. O'Reilly was right - that it knocked Mitt and Benghazi completely off the radar for five whole days right at the end.

Both parties have been turning a blind eye to illegal immigration, for all these years(dems for free votes and pubs for cheap labor), going back to at least the 1980's, which has also played a large part in this. It's finally caught up with us. Will be we able to elect another Republican president? We might be at the Point of No Return. Just how is this "Republican soul-searching" the political pundits on LSM call for, going to change the makeup of the population? Hmmmm?
NO repeal of healthcare now.

I think women voted for Obama based on his claim that Romney, et al, would take away their "reproductive rights." It worked in local races as well as national. We need candidates that talk about the issue without shooting themselves in the foot. Let's face it, women want the right to abort if not for them but for their daughters. We have lost that issue and might was well accept it.

Reply 36 - Posted by: Hobbiest, 11/7/2012 8:00:48 AM     (No. 8995417)

Romney had to be kicking himself that he let the Obama barrage of negative ads in swing states go unanswered all summer long. Around 13 million voters from 2008 stayed home. About 3.3 million of them were McCain voters. I suspect what we will find is that's what allowed the very strong Democrat public employee union turnout machine to prevail.

Keep in mind that a lot of recipients of government aid aren't venal as much as they are fearful. The administrator of the public housing project for the elderly tells a resident to go vote or she'll discover that that $50 the resident's son leaves every time he visits and she'll raise the rent.

Reply 37 - Posted by: Catherine, 11/7/2012 8:07:05 AM     (No. 8995433)

Don't believe for a second he won legitimately. And we all know the Republicans won't stand up to him. It will be by the grace of god if we get to vote again. If we're still here. Once Obama fires all our military and finishes deactivating our nuclear missles, we're toast for any tin horn dictatorship who wants to take us over.

This outcome is stunning and unbelievable, still. Agree wholeheartedly with all five points made in the article. Yes, the media certainly tipped the scales but they did it by several additional means not mentioned, one being quoting Mitt Romney's fellow partisans and 'conservative' columnists and commentators. Newt Gingrich during Primary debates, especially, was volatile and vicious; Mike Huckabee on TV made snide little comments about Mormonism, etc., etc., etc. These comments quickly made their way into Democrat talking points for the gleeful media. Have you ever heard Democrat spokespeople or MSNBC personnel criticizing President Obama, Harry Reid or Nancy Pelosi? But Republicans and conservatives in every capacity do not hesitate to publicly disagree and to attack their own. They seem to have forgotten the admonishment of mothers everywhere to keep family disputes within the walls of the home and with Ronald Reagan’s commandment, “Thou shalt not speak ill of any fellow Republican”.

Last evening, to add insult to injury, FOX ran Shepard Smith as its final commentator. I turned him off as he was berating Republicans for being old-fashioned, behind the times, etc. Mitt Romney not only had to run against his opponent but had to endure the attacks of fellow candidates of his own party, fellow conservatives, and members of the so-called conservative-sympathetic Fox network along with all of the main stream media. It’s a testament to the qualities of the man that he received as many votes as he did against such adversity. Mitt Romney is an honorable man and was a fine and stalwart candidate. America lost a wonderful opportunity yesterday. Yes, you can blame the media but they had plenty of outside fodder laid at their feet on which to feed.

The only ''mandate'' after last night is, unfortunately, with the leftist media. They managed to shield the awful truth about Obama in order to get him re-elected. Well, good luck with your choice. Perhaps George Bush will be left alone now because this mess is truly Obamas.

In 4 years socialism will be so far entrenched in our country a republican will never stand a chance of being elected again, let alone a conservative. There will just be too many people dependant on the government to break the grip.

It is a sad testimony to the decline of our American spirit that over 50,0000,0000 voters prefer a handout...

Yes, the MSM is biased and was for Baraky, but that is nothing new.

Mitt and Ann did a great job, but with the auto bailout, Ohio believed the media, and it came down to Ohio...The pundits are probably right about responding sooner to those early "kill" Romney ads... Let's learn from this folks, and not give up. Too many have died for our freedom, we must get back that American resolve.

As for me, I am going to change careers, as I don't see retirement in Scripture. My local community college has an on-going need for part-time teachers, and my 25-years in banking and finance [and love of kids and students who want to learn] should be a great fit... I have children who voted GOP and I would like grandchildren to teach and love some day too... America may be down, but we can, with God's help, come back stronger again...

# 40 has said it well and should be remembered. It had been cringe time for me each and every time FNC had Karl Rove on there pontificating and the likes of Kristol,Krauthammer,Barnes and yes, Hume.

They represented the spokespersons from the Bush era and imho, reflected the beltway intellectual superiority displayed by so many who eschew the young tea party types.

Fox also should consider,carefully,the continued highlighting of Peggy Noonan, She represents GHWbush era and as such is a constant reminder of the GOP,{GOD-Awful-Pundits}

from the Old Testament - Proverbs:

There are six things that the Lord hates,
seven that are an abomination to him:
haughty eyes, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that make haste to run to evil, a false witness who breathes out lies, and one who sows discord among brothers.

Unfortunately, this was apparently God's will. And if so, this is just the beginning of a horrible time ahead. I truly do not believe that this Nation, concieved under God, will fall to the evil that has been perpetrated upon it by so many forces. Only a full cleansing can do that now, and my heart aches for what this fools have wrought upon us all.

What we just witnessed is just how much the media can influence (brain dead, emotionally driven) Americans.

Americans can't make a rational decision anymore; they are dependent on the media to take them by the hand and tell them what to buy, what to think, what to value, what to believe and yesterday, who to vote for.

America is no longer the America I knew while growing up. America has been high jacked by marketing and the media (which has no morals) and Americans have been turned into self-indulgent over-sexed buying machines, with no responsibility, no morals, no values with no sense of what is sacred. Nothing is off limits to their self-indulgent lifestyles.

As for the Republican Party; maybe they didn't succeed because they had plenty of opportunities to stop the slaughter of innocent children and the destruction of marriage and family and they let those opportunities slip away and did nothing. They have nothing to show for the times they were in control. Maybe God is saying Republicans don’t deserve to be re-elected.

God Bless The United States? How can He? God Have Mercy on the United States is more like it. The moral decline will continue at an even more accelerated rate. American will likely never be what it was.

I feel vindicated. So, why am I not happy about it? There’s really nothing to be happy about today. That is, unless you’re the shortsighted, self-delusional, basically ignorant majority who have brought about what our once great nation now faces head-on. For years on these website threads, I’ve posted every negative comment I could think of about the corrupt, complicit cronies in our so-called mainstream media. But, did that ignorant majority mark my words? Apparently not.

Once upon a time, we proudly revered “America’s Greatest Generation.” Today, we’re reluctantly faced with “America’s Gulliblest* Generation.” Odds are they won’t be around nearly as long.

*No, it’s not a real word, even though it should be.

Half of the voters DO discern what the devistating results of 40 years of deceitful lefty/lib/statist dem policies AND their scripted media tools have done to obliterate the blessings of Liberty throughout fabric of America the Beautiful. But then, half apparently do not, for yesterday they apparently didn't YET realize their votes just endorsed the already failed statist 0bama policies which are crippling this country.

Remorse will soon set in though, ...when 0bama's radical BIG Government policies reach out from on high, grab EVERYONE by the lapels, and divide those 0bama intends to take, ''REVENGE,'' upon, from his buds. ...Who EVER thought a majority of American voters would approve such a divisive President so obviously dedicated to taking, (-AS HE INFAMOUSLY DECLARED!), ''REVENGE,'' against at least half the country?!!

Have the dem party voters been dumbed down just enough to fall for 0bama's theatrical deceits? Did they really vote yesterday for 0bama to simply sweep aside America's Constitutional principle of equality & replace it with, 'kiss the king's ring,' and beg for alms?!!

What's next to be tossed out on 0bama's power grab list, ...the entire Rule of Law?! ...Tyranny over Liberty?!!

We heard all day that turnout in democrat areas was down, but up in republican districts. Romney drew huge crowd, while Obama's audiences were dwindling. My guess is that the voting machines were dumping republican votes. There is no possible way that McCain got more votes than Romney. No. Way.

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, the 2008 Republican vice presidential candidate, is gearing up for 2014. Her SarahPAC came out with a video on Wednesday aimed at fueling the conservative fires for a dramatic comeback in the midterm elections. The “Loaded for Bear” video features tea party favorite Sen. Ted Cruz talking of Mrs. Palin’s successes in the 2010 election that saw the rise of Sens. Marco Rubio, Rand Paul and Jeff Flake, Breitbart reports. “Sarah Palin picks winners,” Mr. Cruz says in the video. And the statement does hold truth. Former Sen. Jim DeMint,

Former GOP vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin mocked President Obama, GOP consultant Karl Rove and the mainstream media in a folksy speech to a gathering of conservative activists outside Washington Saturday. During her address to the Conservative Political Action Conference, or CPAC, Palin accused Obama of failing to lead, instead maintaining a permanent campaign approach of demonizing the opposition. True leadership, she said, means "ending the poisonous practice of treating members of different social, ethnic and religious groups as different electorates, pandered to with different promises."
