UPDATE: Obama wins re-election,
Romney not ready to concede

Richmond Times-Dispatch, by Jacob Geiger

Original Article

Posted By:LOL Thomas, 11/7/2012 12:30:23 AM

RICHMOND, Va. -- 12:10 a.m. Though The Associated Press called the election for President Barack Obama half an hour ago, Republican challenger Mitt Romney has not conceded. Romney's campaign isn't ready to concede Ohio at this point, several TV networks reported. Neither candidate has appeared yet to speak. 11:50 p.m. President Barack Obama won re-election Tuesday night despite a fierce challenge from Republican Mitt Romney as well as the weak economy and high unemployment that encumbered his first term and crimped the middle-class dreams of millions.

Our hope is bicameralism and the Constitution. No election can change either of these. We survived 3 terms of FDR. We can survive another 4 years of the first gay president. Chris Christy pulled ol' Dear Leader across the finish line... Hopefully he gets a cabinet position.

The stupidification of America continues apace.
When 47% + of American families pay no taxes, they have no skin in the game. Their hands are perpetually out seeking an electable agent who can "legally" confiscate others' earnings and "redistribute" same to them.
After all, aren't the unsuccessful justified in getting "revenge" on others who have worked hard to succeed?

This will not end well.

Obama is a symptom. We have problems with out populace that cannot be solved by electing a good man and this has been building for decades. I had hopes that Romney could buy us some time. Maybe this re-election Obama will hasten the collapse. I'm afraid our demise will be slow and painful. In any case, we're clearly past the tipping point now.

Will have to stop listening to Rush, Dennis, Mark, Glenn and Hannity. May even stop reading Lucianne, HotAIr and Instapundit. These great sources of conservative opinion reinforced my delusion that Obama would never be reelected. Tonight made me realize that I have been in isolation, out of touch with over half of the country. Worse, those in touch are the Chris Matthews, Rachel Maddow and their MSNBC ilk. Perversely, MSNBC is consistently the least watched cable channel yet it best reflects public sentiment.

#10: All the votes have NOT been counted. Many Republicans were scammed into having to cast provisional ballots that have to be verified or they don't count. Absentee ballots haven't been counted.

If Romney wants to fight, we should fight with him. He didn't let us down, our neighbors did. FL, OH, and VA are extremely close races. The MSM declares Obama the winner and tries to shame Romney into conceding? And you think it would be classy if he went along with it? No! If for no other reason than to illuminate the fraud the Democrats perpetrated in this election.

There were few complaints at the Woodruff polls as South Carolina´s new voter photo ID requirement was enforced for the first time in Spartanburg County. The re-do election for mayor in Woodruff is the first Spartanburg County election since the photo ID requirement went into effect Jan. 1. The law requires voters to show a S.C. driver´s license, Department of Motor Vehicles ID card, voter registration card with photo, federal military ID or a United States passport to cast a ballot. (Snip) The law was passed in 2012 as a measure to combat voter fraud, according to proponents.

To the world beyond the Beltway, it might not mean much that Bob Woodward of the famed Watergate duo went public with his recent White House run-in. This would be an oversight. (Snip) Distrust of media, encouraged by alternative media seeking to enhance their own standing, has become a tool useful to the very powers the Fourth Estate was constitutionally endowed to monitor. When the president can bypass reporters to reach the public, it is not far-fetched to imagine a time — perhaps now? — when the state controls the message.

Woodward Right About Obama
Moving Sequester Goal Posts

There are two stories circulating around Bob Woodward this morning. (Snip) But the White House also wanted the issue to disappear until after the election, so in conjunction with Congress it proposed (and the President specifically endorsed) an enforcement mechanism called sequestration. In exchange for agreeing to a package of $1.2T in cuts with no revenues as a failsafe, Republicans agreed to raise the debt limit high enough that it would not be reached until after the election. The significant point is that the trigger for sequestration was not the same date as the implementation date.

Recent research indicates that the number of people who do not consider themselves a part of an organized religion is steadily on the rise. Interestingly enough, though the number of those religiously unaffiliated is increasing, there is little to no trend in the number of those who express atheist or agnostic beliefs. People aren’t saying they don’t believe in God. They’re saying they don’t believe in religion. They are not rejecting Christ. They are rejecting the church. This begs the question, “Why are we losing our religion?”

Every month that those would-be workers are gone raises the odds that they might never come back, dimming the prospects for future economic growth. But then came Friday’s jobs report, and hopes were dashed. The Labor Department reported that the U.S. labor force — everyone who has a job or is looking for one — shrank

Gluten-free diets are all the rage, but they can be dangerous if not done right. What is gluten? It´s the spongy complex of proteins, found naturally in wheat, rye, and barley, that gives elasticity to dough and allows it to rise. When flour is moistened and either kneaded or mixed into dough, gluten molecules form an elastic, microscopic latticework that traps the carbon dioxide produced when yeast ferments, causing dough to inflate like a hot air balloon. Baking hardens the gluten, which helps the finished product keep its shape. Wheat — and gluten — is ubiquitous in the American diet.
