Pennsylvania: Romney's Inchon Landing?
National Review Online, by John Fund

Original Article

Posted By:StormCnter, 11/6/2012 2:09:32 PM

In 1950, during the Korean War, General Douglas MacArthur launched a truly daring military maneuver — outflanking the enemy and making a sudden amphibious landing behind North Korean lines at Inchon. The invasion was almost a complete surprise, forcing the North Koreans to flee inland. Within days MacArthur had recaptured the capital of Seoul and changed the entire conflict. Mitt Romney is attempting a political equivalent of an Inchon landing in Pennsylvania, a state that hasn’t voted Republican for president since 1988. His campaign and allied groups have poured in $12 million in last-minute advertising and get-out-the-vote efforts.

It will be a difficult task for us PA Romney supporters to overcome the rampant cheating going on right now in Phila.

I would like to set an electromagnetic pulse (EMP) bomb in Phila to wipe out their fraudulent electronic votes.

'The enthusiasm for Romney among Republicans in the state is palpable: He drew some 25,000 people on a bitterly cold night '' - article. This is what scares the Democrats as Ed Rendell admitted. The attitude of Democrats in PA towards voting this year is, ''Eh,'' while Republicans are highly motivated. It could be all that is necessary to make the difference.

Waht is not being mentioned is that PA has a republican Senator and Governor and the State House is also Republican controlled. Why is everyone saying that PA goingfor Romney is so far fetched? I don't get it.

The ACA: Still Falling Short
National Review Online, by James C. Capretta    Original Article

The Obamacare open-enrollment season (supposedly) closed yesterday, so it is good time to step back and assess where things stand with the law and its first-year implementation. Interestingly, Obamacare remains something of a Rorschach test for journalists and health-policy analysts. Looking at the same set of facts, two observers can reach very different conclusions. For instance, Noam Levey of the Los Angeles Times writes that Obamacare “has spurred the largest expansion in health coverage in America in half a century.” Meanwhile, health consultant Howard J. Peterson, writing at the Philadelphia Inquirer news site, says “the first four years of Obamacare has led to

Yesterday the Obama Administration boasted that six million people had signed up for Obamacare. There was not a word about Frank Alfisi. Frank Alfisi was killed by Obamacare. His daughter, Amy DiFrancesca, is furious. And yes, she quite specifically blames the President of the United States for her father’s death. As did the doctor who told Amy: “You can thank Mr. Obama for this.” Before we get to the specifics of how Frank Alfisi died, let’s begin with the who of this story. Mr. Alfisi was not a statistic. He wasn’t a guinea pig or a lab rat. Frank Alfisi was a real person.

I never wanted my father to open the sandwich shop. Visions of spending my afternoons preparing, cooking and serving food swirled in my mind when my father first mentioned the idea, and I didn´t want any part of it. I just wanted to come home after school, relax a bit then do homework just like other seventh-grade girls. Since our family had arrived in the U.S. a year earlier, in 1984, my father had tried hard to look for work. He was almost 60 and spoke little English, and he was turned down for a series of jobs. House Budget Chairman Paul Ryan released his annual budget blueprint on Tuesday morning, and it looks like a fairly familiar iteration of a lot of the deficit-reducing measures we’ve seen in his past proposals. (Snip)But of course, the mere mention of such a vastly more sustainable long-term fiscal plan almost immediately inspired Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid to launch into yet another of his unhinged Koch-addled rants that seem to be dominating his floor speeches lately, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.

Last month, Amrit Singh, an adjunct professor at Hostos Community College in the South Bronx, received a letter from the New York City Marshal, advising him that he owed $10,000, due within 20 days. If Singh did not pay, the letter said, money would be garnished from his paycheck. “It got me worried, because I knew I didn’t owe this amount of money,” Singh said. Singh called the Marshal’s office, and they told him Atlantic Credit, a debt collection agency, secured a judgment against him for the $10,000. Presidential campaigns are long and complicated, and getting more so, but they all start in the same way: Hopefuls jockey for position in a handful of lanes that open up for specific types of candidates their party seems willing to consider. That is precisely what is happening now as Republicans begin serious contemplation of the 2016 presidential race. The party is changing and soul-searching after two straight presidential defeats, and its coming nominating contest may well be the most crowded and wide-open in a generation. To sort through that forming crowd, think of the potential candidates as falling into five different lanes.

When it comes to mocking a sitting president, the world’s most dangerous leaders have apparently taken up the traditional role played by late-night comics. It started last August when the 11-year-old son of Syria’s Bashar al-Assad took to Facebook with this message for President Obama: “I just want them to attack sooo much, because I want them to make the mistake of beginning something that they don’t know the end of it.” A few days later, Papa Assad tells Charlie Rose that Obama runs a “social media administration.” Next came Vladimir Putin. It wasn’t enough to annex Crimea. In an address to

President Obama´s endorsement on Monday of Sen. Brian Schatz (D-Hawaii) in a Democratic primary is a big deal. Until now, Rep. Colleen Hanabusa (D-Hawaii) sported the most notable endorsement in the race: That of late senator Daniel Inouye (D), whose dying wish was for her to succeed him. But if there´s one endorsement that could carry as much or more weight in what promises to be a contentious campaign, it´s Obama´s. The broad unpopularity that has has turned Obama into a political albatross in many states does not extend to Hawaii, where he grew up and enjoys iconic status. Obama

The Obama administration is celebrating that it has achieved its (downwardly revised) goal of signing up more than 6 million Americans for Obamacare by 11:59 p.m. March 31. Mission accomplished! Not quite. The administration has not revealed how many of those 6 million people have paid their premiums. If you have not paid, you have not actually “enrolled.” It’s like putting merchandise in your Amazon cart but never clicking “buy.” Besides, the number that matters is not how many Americans signed up for Obamacare but rather how many previously uninsured Americans signed up for Obamacare. By that standard, Obamacare may be

President Obama sees himself following in the footsteps of the creator of the modern Democrats, Franklin D. Roosevelt, who launched the “New Deal” in the 1930s to protect the interests of working and middle class Americans. Among numerous other programs, Roosevelt’s New Deal included Social Security for the elderly, a massive program of public works for the unemployed, subsidies for farmers and government recognition of labor unions to raise wages for private sector workers. Shortly after Obama’s 2008 election, Time ran a cover story picturing Obama as the next FDR with the title “The New New Deal.” President Obama and his

JERUSALEM -- A hard-line Israeli Cabinet minister says convicted spy Jonathan Pollard opposes being freed from a U.S. jail in exchange for Palestinians prisoners. Uri Ariel says people close to Pollard have told him that he opposes such a "shameful deal." Ariel, from the hard-line Jewish Home party, spoke to Army Radio on Tuesday. He says he, too, is against the release of "murderers" for Pollard. Talk of the possibility of Pollard´s early release has arisen as an incentive in the troubled Mideast peace negotiations. The idea is that if he is freed, Israel would make concessions and release more Palestinian prisoners.

Obamacare, the plan purportedly created to provide health coverage for the uninsured, has enrolled just 1.7% of America´s 48.6 million uninsured. They say it contains enzymes known as HMGF (hydroxy methyl glutaryl flavonones) which can attack proteins in the body known to cause heart disease.
