The rehabilitation of St. Barack
Washington Post, by Ed Rogers

Original Article

Posted By:MissMolly, 11/6/2012 5:19:16 AM

The Obama apologencia has started their attempt at the rehabilitation of St. Barack. Today’s story by Politico’s Glenn Thrush foreshadows the nauseating talking points that are to come, win or lose. Essentially, Thrush lets a bunch of Obama hired guns and sympathizers reveal for the first time that President Obama was never comfortable with the negative campaign he produced. Apparently, he never wanted to attack Mitt Romney. (Snip) I have two words for those who will peddle this story line: Gag me.

Is the left admitting the negative ads on Romney backfired? They weren't saying this when they accused him of murdering a union worker's wife.Or Bain Capital outsourcing jobs to China under Romney's orders.Haven't GM's parts suppliers been moved overseas so their cars can hit price points to sell? Didn't Obama throw GM's shareholders under the bus as well as Delphi retiree pensions?

I would have liked to see more red meat jabs at Obama by Romney but it appears he chose to run a positive campaign instead. The green loans and grants should have been an easy target for Obama. He was right for not exploiting the Benghazi situation out of respect for the dead people.

Pelosi spent a billion trying to buy back the House and Obama at least $300 million on attack ads and none seemed to have worked.

“In speech-writing meetings, he’s [Obama’s] often the one to suggest the addition of more optimistic, aspirational passages, aides say — even though he has frequently bowed to the counter-argument that he can prevail only by defining Romney in the most negative way possible.

Rather than "rehabilitation," I think this is even worse for Obama.

It makes him sound like a ventriloquist's dummy rather than just your plain everyday puppet on a string.

Saw the piece Rogers was responding to (I think) yesterday at Politico - truly alternative universe stuff.

Roger's point, of course, is that the "notion" (to use a word Obama loves) that our naturally upbeat, cheerful, inspiring, and positive president's listlessness, despondence, and moodiness on the campaign trail grew out of his deep discomfort with the unfortunate political neccesity of going negative on Romney is a bunch of malarkey (to use a term the VP loves - in public settings).

The WaPo pro-Obama posters on this piece all just snark about Republicans whining about tough campaigning - none even address the rehab effort, which was the whole point. There's no real conversing with a sold-out liberal. The Dems have truly become the stupid party.

It's not possible to rehabilitate a false image once it has been uncloaked. What really happened here in the last few months is that the carefully constructed narrative of Barack Obama has finally been deconstructed for everyone to finally see him as he is. And what he is does not look good to the millions who had previously been fooled into believing the false image.

No, it's over.

It’s much too late now for Barack Hussein Obama to try to fundamentally transform himself, when it comes to all the negative, meanspirited, snarky remarks he has made in the past about Mitt Romney.

One needs only to look at the man's face when he talks, and especially WHEN he is off TOTUS.

He was schooled in Marxist/Soviet-style rabble-rousing, aka, "agitation and propaganda." And furthermore, he taught this to as many as possible when he moved to the fertile grounds of Chicago.

I somehow missed Politico's author's name, Glen Thrush. So, when i kept seeing "Thrush", all that came to mind was the evil agency in "Man from U.N.C.L.E."

Here is our greatest problem: a media which --with the exception of Fox News (and of course "new media" and talk radio)-- is thoroughly a tool of the Left. As media-toads began to realize how much power they have to influence opinion (i think most evident in the Clinton years), they began wielding that power with greater and greater frequency until when BO appeared on the scene, there is not a scintilla of objectivity.

Combine this with the ignorance of the masses, the lack of historical knowledge, the death of common sense, and the media can control and mold opinion, and emotion (was going to say "thought," but there's not much of that going on out there).

Said one day to hubby: Dem/Lefties used to have the media in their pockets, now they're deep in their boxers and briefs.
--an ugly image. But ugly it is.

If Obama loses--and I hope he does--it will be because of his refusal to move to the center and to focus on the economy, not because of his campaign. The campaign had nowhere to go except negative because O's record was so bad. Bill Clinton played it differently, and won reelection easily.

Remember all the jokes about Slick Lying Willie's presidential library containing only four or five books? If obama is booted out, there will only be the unmentionable foreign book and the Communist Manifesto for his library. All other documents will be redacted, hidden from view, no history allowed. Obams's disgraceful legacy will be called The Cover Up Library. If he wins, the New Media revolution will intensify and perfe'ct to the finest media in the world.
The traitorous Old Media Mafia will slowly give up the 24/7 lying. After all, even Diane Sawyer, at one time in her life, was a good American. Maybe some of this basic goodness will come back for most of TV's current crop of Party Line Liars. Maybe the sponsors will wake up and stop paying billions for lies. Obama will not finish out his second term if we are so unfortunate
to suffer four more years. Willie was impeached for lesser crimes, and Tricky Dick was boosted out of 2nd term for lesser crimes. There is good nows even in the bad.

Justin Timberlake concerts for King Obama… but no Blue Angels for Americans… KomoNews reports the following: SEATTLE — The annual summer Blue Angels show over Seattle has fallen victim to federal budget cuts. Seafair spokeswoman Melissa Jurcan said the festival received official word from the Navy on Tuesday morning that the fighter jet demonstration team would not be making the trip to Seattle for 2013. Sequestration prompted the Department of Defense to prohibit military aerial demonstrations along with other cost savings measures, and the Navy said it was cancelling all remaining Blue Angels performances for the year.

MIAMI -- Lilly Pulitzer hosted parties in her bare feet and wasn´t afraid to get a little messy - just as long as she looked good and had fun, too. In the late 1950s, the Palm Beach socialite had time to spare and a wealthy husband who owned citrus groves, so she opened an orange juice stand just off the island´s main shopping street. Pulitzer needed to hide all the juice stains on her clothes, though. Instead of just putting on an apron, she asked her seamstress to make some sleeveless dresses

Add the name of Michelle Lynne (ne Robert) Kosilek to the list of modern phenomena the Founding Fathers would definitely not appreciate being blamed for. Little did they know what havoc they would someday wreak by adding the Eighth Amendment to the Constitution to prohibit “cruel and unusual punishment.” Now comes Kosilek, a convicted wife murderer doing life without parole. He/she is claiming that it would be cruel and unusual punishment to deny him/her a sex-change operation — excuse me, “gender-reassignment surgery.”Not to get too graphic, but Kosilek is begging for elective amputation of a body part.

Two very bad and extremely dangerous economic developments happened yesterday — and Wall Street appeared to miss both of them. The Dow Jones industrial average fell 40.86 points to 14565.25 after the Labor Department announced that the seasonally adjusted number of new jobs created in March was just 88,000 — far below the 190,000 or so Wall Street expected. The March figure was also less than one-third the number of jobs created during February. This led to the misperception that the job market tanked in March. It didn’t.

Duck Dynasty must make liberals heads explode. It is now the most popular “non-scripted” show currently on television. Its Season 3 premiere had 8.6 million viewers and a massive 4.0 rating in the 18-49 demographic, which as you might know, is quite popular with the advertisers. At the same time, each episode ends with the entire family at the dinner table where they pray before eating. Indeed, the Robertson clan is entirely evangelical. They take their faith in Christ seriously and exert quite a bit of effort preaching the gospel. The patriarch of the family, Phil, used to live

The murder trial of abortionist Kermit Gosnell largely is being ignored by the mainstream media, even in the face of grisly testimony, such as what we heard yesterday. Life News reports: ...a former employee described how she heard a baby scream during a live-birth abortion. Abortion clinic employee Sherry West described an incident which "really freaked (her) out" and related to the jury how she heard a child who was born alive following an abortion scream.

HARTFORD, Conn. -- With time running out on the chance to pass gun control legislation, President Barack Obama on Monday warned Congress not to use delaying tactics against tighter regulations and told families of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting victims that he´s "determined as ever" to honor their children with tougher laws. Obama´s gun control proposals have run into resistance on Capitol Hill, leaving their fate in doubt. Efforts by Senate Democrats to reach compromise with Republicans over expanding required federal background checks have yet to yield an agreement, and conservatives were promising to try

Beginning a week of high pressure on gun control, the White House on Monday accused some Republican senators of cowardice for planning to filibuster gun legislation without allowing the full Senate to vote on President Obama’s initiatives. “If they oppose this legislation, have the courage to say so on the floor and vote no,” said White House press secretary Jay Carney. “Don’t block it. Don’t hide behind a procedural action to prevent a vote. That’s the wrong thing to do, and that’s how the president clearly feels.”

Chelsea Clinton has raised her profile in the last few days, which sparked the inevitable question about the former first daughter´s future: Will she ever be like Mom and Dad and run for office? Clinton, 33, essentially said "maybe" in an interview that aired Monday on NBC´s Today show. "Right now I´m grateful to live in a city, a state and a country where I strongly support my mayor, my governor, my president and my senators and my representative," said Clinton, whose father, Bill, was president from 1993-2001 and her mother, Hillary

More than 700 Special Operations veterans are urging members of Congress to back a select committee to investigate last year’s Benghazi terrorist attack, according to a letter first obtained by Fox News. The letter from the group, “Special Operations Speaks,” supports the appointment of a special committee tasked with the single mission of investigating the attack that left Ambassador Christopher Stevens and three other Americans dead, and shut down the CIA operation in an annex of the Benghazi consulate, in the Sept. 11, 2012 attack. “Congress must show some leadership and provide answers to the public

There was growing buzz over the weekend that a bipartisan agreement on gun control — a deal that would expand background checks — could hit the floor as early as this week. However, any deal could be derailed by the looming threat of a Republican filibuster involving Texas Sen. Ted Cruz. With Cruz standing proudly in the way of any gun legislation, Democrats are trying to make him pay a political price — and even a couple of high-profile Republicans are questioning his tactics.

The case of a same-sex Connecticut couple accused of repeatedly raping and abusing two of their nine adopted boys is headed for trial. Married couple George Harasz and Douglas Wirth of Glastonbury were supposed to be sentenced Friday in Hartford Superior Court under a plea deal, but instead withdrew from their agreement with prosecutors. More than six months since Ambassador Christopher Stevens was assassinated by terrorists in Benghazi, the Obama administration is still trying to keep a lid on information about the attack. Congress and the American people need to know what happened the night of Sept. 11, 2012. Who did the killing and what was their motive? Why wasn´t help sent? And why did the administration lie about who was responsible? Members of Congress have asked hundreds of questions at hearings conducted by several investigative committees, but many of the most significant have been left unanswered.
