| On the final day of campaigning before the election, President Obama ended his day at an evening rally in Des Moines, Iowa. Earlier on Monday, he spent the day touring the battleground states of Wisconsin and Ohio. Des Moines is where his 2008 campaign for president began. The President will spend election day in Chicago. At the final event at the Des Moines East Village, the President was joined by First Lady Michelle Obama and Bruce Springsteen.

Obama is a walking Shakespearean tragedy. I don't remember anyone in my lifetime who had a more golden opportunity than Obama handed to him and he screwed it up at every turn.He could still win with the slacker and cheater vote but he'll be a 4 year lame ducker with a country ready to revolt any second.

Very early on, before this campaign started in earnest, live or die, I publicly cast my lot with Gallup and Rasmussen. As a poll addict going back to 2000, these are the outlets that have always played it straight. It's got nothing to do with politics and everything to do with credibility and not wanting to kid myself. So when an outlet like Gallup tells me Romney is up seven-points, 52-45%, among those who have already voted, that's very big news. A new CNN/ORC International poll found President Obama´s overall approval rating has ticked up to 51 percent but ratings have fallen on his handling of the key issues on his agenda: immigration, guns, and the deficit. Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Kathleen Sebelius conceded Monday that implementing the Affordable Care Act has been more complicated and frustrating than the Obama administration expected, largely due to Republicans who have opposed the law´s state-based exchanges and Medicaid expansion.
