The Benghazi bleed
Washington Examiner [DC], by Noemie Emery

Original Article

The Benghazi bleed is draining Obama and Democrats, with the consequence yet to be seen. If he loses, it will be one reason why; if he wins, he will run into a headwind of investigations and inquiries that will get his second term off to an ugly beginning. Either way, it has put an end for the time being at least to the Democrats' latest effort to dig themselves out of the foreign policy hole they dug themselves into in the late l960s, and from which they have yet to emerge. They tried with Jimmy Carter, ex-career naval officer

"The future must not belong to those who slander the prophet of Islam."

No man has ever disgraced the office of President of the United States like Barack Obama did with those words. Moreover, he proclaimed them to the entire world as part of the lie that the Benghazi terror attack was caused by a youtube clip, all to deflect attention from the truth: his own craven culpability in the murders of 4 brave Americans.

Democrats and independents - let your conscience be your guide in the voting booth, not the lies you know are lies from the MSM. Please. This disgrace cannot be allowed to continue.

I was talking via Email to a very liberal person last week about this. Even he was upset over this but was still planning to vote for Obama. I told him he might want to rethink that as Joe Biden was in the room and if this turns out to be gross incompetence or worse actual treasonous behavior by Obama then both he and Biden will be removed from office. Thus a vote for Obama is a vote for John Boehner as president as he is third in line

Woodward and Bernstein turned a shoplifted bubble gum story into the crime of the century.

The same type of scribbling rat now ignores a serious scandal because it shows their messiah for the cowardly, lying worm he is.

Regardless of the election result, it's time for a House Speaker focused on the country's future instead of path resistance.

I think Noemie is being a tad naive here:

If he loses, it will be one reason why; if he wins, he will run into a headwind of investigations and inquiries that will get his second term off to an ugly beginning.

Obama is notorious for discarding Congress' power and doing end-runs around it. Inquiries and investigations cannot stop Obama's EO's. He will simply "deem" something to be law, et voila! "Stroke of the pen, law of the land. Cool", to quote Bill Clinton.

He cannot be stopped if he is reelected. His agenda, with a vengeance, will go forward.

I heard Glenn Beck say that Valerie Jarrett threatened that there will be "hell to pay" for anyone who doesn't support Obama. Here's the quote:

“After we win this election, it’s our turn. Payback time. Everyone not with us is against us and they better be ready because we don’t forget. The ones who helped us will be rewarded, the ones who opposed us will get what they deserve. There is going to be hell to pay. Congress won’t be a problem for us this time. No election to worry about after this is over and we have two judges ready to go.”

My guess is that this is no idle threat.

ValJar's comment sounds suspiciously close to vote for "revenge."

This little quip from the UN speech, "The future must not belong to those who slander the prophet of Islam," betrays The Wun's true feelings. He was talking about a fake video that no one's seen here, that may not even "slander" anything. That little gem should set every Christian and Jew's teeth on edge.

There are already grounds for impeachment over the Benghazi disaster. It was a disaster of negligence and purposeful malfeasance. There is no longer any doubt that there has been a coverup, for a situation where people died!

There were no deaths in Watergate. Nixon did the honorable thing when he saw what it would do to the country.

Obama (and many others in the administration) lied, and people died!

The media has become a joke and a national embarassment. Is this what all the people of the Greatest Generation die for?

Look for TV's old media traitors turning into whistleblowers. Let's face it, the least socialist of them simply won't be able to continue breakneck lying for 4 more lengthy years. Also, Benghazi, the czars, fast and furious, giving billions to evil friends, buying illegals votes, phony birth certificate, redacted history, questionable social security card, muslim ties, communist style IRS enforced medical industry, Soros ties, there's just too much to keep covering up. Amongst all those Diane Sawyers there HAS TO BE AT LEAST A FEW REAL AMERICANS WITH GOODNESS LEFT IN THEIR SOULS. Does anybody see the similarity to the "gunwalking" of arms to the preferred Mexican cartel? I actually believe Obama was taking sides in the fight between the Mexican drug gangs with the express intent of "negotiating" with them after one gang wins. That's what Democrats always do.

So in my humble opinion, Benghazi was one more gunwalking scheme where we arm Al Qaeda to defeat Assad, because "surely Al Qaeda will like us if we help them take Syria!! Then we can negotiate!"

We're doomed.

Following the massacre of grammar-school children in Newtown, Conn., in December 2012, high-powered weapons have been used to kill innocent victims in more senseless public incidents. Those killings, however, are only a fragment of the total harm caused by the misuse of firearms. Each year, more than 30,000 people die in the United States in firearm-related incidents. Many of those deaths involve handguns. The adoption of rules that will lessen the number of those incidents should be a matter of primary concern to both federal and state legislators. The Obama administration said Friday that it would block Iran’s nominee as ambassador to the United Nations from entering the United States, setting up a new confrontation with Tehran just as relations with the Islamic republic appeared to be improving. The decision to bar entry to the diplomat, who was allegedly involved in the 1979 seizure of the U.S. Embassy in Tehran, followed intense political pressure on the administration from Republicans and Democrats on Capitol Hill. But it also marked a rare instance in which Washington has effectively vetoed another country’s preferred choice as envoy to the United Nations. Iran

Struggling homeowners across the country could face significant new tax bills if they receive mortgage relief from their banks, a prospect that threatens to slow the housing recovery and put further strain on distressed borrowers. The collapse of the housing market and plunging home prices left millions of people stuck owing more on their mortgages than their homes were worth. Some have worked with their banks to reduce the loan amount to avoid foreclosure or enable a sale. In 2007, Congress adopted a law that spared those homeowners from being taxed on the amount of the loan that was forgiven. But

On Thursday, Secretary of Health and Human Services Kathleen Sebelius resigned her position. The New York Times reported the resignation as a punishment for failure: Officials said Ms. Sebelius, 65, made the decision to resign and was not forced out. But the frustration at the White House over her performance had become increasingly clear, as administration aides worried that the crippling problems at HealthCare.gov, the website set up to enroll Americans in insurance exchanges, would result in lasting damage to the president’s legacy. The facts in the case suggest very strongly that Ms. Lerner has earned the contempt of the American people as well as criminal prosecution to the full extent of the law. The question of whether Justice will do justice now rests with the Obama administration, in service to which Ms. Lerner organized and oversaw the repression of nonprofit activists under color of IRS authority.
