| President Obama’s big rally tonight turned out to be just like his first, opening salvo of the 2012 campaign: a half-empty arena in Ohio. According toRealClearPolitics’ Scott Conroy, there were “empty seats scattered around the upper-level of Nationwide Arena … Four years ago, after all, Obama was easily filling venues larger than that …” The event even featured Bruce Springsteen and Jay-Z, and Obama still couldn’t fill it out. As it turns out, the empty seats didn’t look exactly “scattered.” They looked like substantial portions of the upper bowl of the arena, according to photos tweeted by those in attendance:

So proud of my hometown! And equally proud that my home for the last 20+ years is where Romney drew 40,000+ Friday night to stand in a field in the cold to support liberty and justice for all! I don't know who will win but I take great comfort in knowing we are not alone. O-H!!

There are only two reasonable explanations for Obama's inability to attract large crowds.
Either vast numbers of people who voted for Obama in 2008 have become disillusioned with him and will not attend his speeches or vote for him tomorrow, or vast numbers of people who voted for Obama in 2008 believe he has the bubonic plague and don't want to get anywhere near him, although they might vote for him if he's not in the area.

I think what's happened is the celebrity cult in this country has a sort attention span.
You can't find one liberal that can tell you where Obama is headed with another term but they'll show up anyway.People don't want an activist president but one who has a steady hand on the country.
It all has to do with predictability. Nobody can make plans without it.People know Romney's not going to do anything extraordinarily stupid.

Vice President Joe Biden on Saturday struggled to draw 1,000 people at two campaign events in Colorado, one of the most important swing states this election. Republicans in Colorado have said they have not seen this much enthusiasm for the top of a Republican ticket in a decade, which is a contrast from Democrats, who are seeing a diminished level of enthusiasm from 2008. With a new American Future Fund poll showing Mitt Romney with a one-point lead in liberal Minnesota, Paul Ryan went to the state President Barack Obama won by more than 10 percentage points in 2008 and drew a crowd of nearly 9,000 people on Sunday. The Illinois Republican party claims early and absentee voting has precipitously fallen since the 2008 presidential election. According to the numbers, at this point in 2008, there were 260,376 early voters and 304,290 absentee voters. Now, the party maintains, there are 195,064 early voters and 46,232 absentee voters. The unemployment rate, because of a terrible statistic, is down to 7.6%. The number of people in this country who are not working is shameful. Ninety million Americans are no longer in the workforce. Ninety million. People not in the labor force grew by 663,000, and now 90 million. That´s the labor force participation rate. This is 1979 levels.
