Election Predictions from
PJ Media Columnists

PJ Media, by PJ Media Columnists

Original Article

ANDREW C. MCCARTHY This is the most extraordinary election in American history – dismayingly so. In the Obama years, the American press has gone from mere cheerleader for the Democratic candidate to adjunct of his campaign. It is therefore more difficult than it has ever been to get a read on the dynamic of the race. For almost all of President Obama’s term, polling has been more a media device to shape public opinion than a dispassionate barometer to report public opinion – reporting as “mainstream” the perceptions and programs of skewed samples.

I hate that some of them think Obama will win. I'm so sick to my stomach these days. It's the end of liberty if he's reelected. He's pretty much promised it.

I'll admit a couple of them aren't firm about it, but nothing in these posts indicated #4 should be sick in the stomach.

In delivering aid to drought-stricken California last week, President Obama and his aides cited the state as an example of what could be in store for much of the rest of the country as human-caused climate change intensifies. But in doing so, they were pushing at the boundaries of scientific knowledge about the relationship between climate change and drought. While a trend of increasing drought that may be linked to global warming has been documented in some regions, including parts of the Mediterranean and in the Southwestern United States, there is no scientific consensus yet that it is a worldwide

President Barack Obama, in town since Friday and fresh off a meeting with Jordan´s King Abdullah II, left the Sunnylands estate Sunday morning for a little more golf. He didn´t have far to go. The destination was Porcupine Creek, the private golf course owned by Oracle co-founder and BNP Paribas owner Larry Ellison. According to the Sunday morning White House pool report, Obama -- along with childhood friends Bobby Titcomb, Greg Orme and Michael Ramos -- arrived at Porcupine Creek promptly at 8 a.m. to kick off the outing. The White House says Obama teed off Saturday at the nine-hole course at the Sunnylands retreat in Rancho Mirage with childhood friends Bobby Titcomb, Greg Orme and Michael Ramos. SOCHI, Russia -- T.J. Oshie scored four times in the shootout and got the winner in the eighth round, leading the United States past Russia 3-2 Saturday in the thrilling revival of a classic Olympic hockey rivalry. Cam Fowler and Joe Pavelski scored in regulation for the Americans in the marquee game of the preliminary round. Jonathan Quick made 29 saves and stopped five attempts in the shootout. International rules allow the same player to take multiple shots after the first three rounds of a shootout, and U.S. coach Dan Bylsma leaned on Oshie, one of the NHL´s shootout specialists.

Mr. Brahimi said the talks had broken down primarily because the Syrian government balked at his suggestion that the negotiators discuss both sides’ top demands early on, rather than spending days on the government’s demands. “I am very, very sorry, and I apologize to the Syrian people,” Mr. Brahimi, an Algerian diplomat who has spent

Fruit and vegetables, like oranges, papayas, peppers, broccoli and strawberries, contain vitamin C. According to the American Stroke Association, hemorrhagic stroke accounts for approximately 13 percent of stroke cases. It results from a weakened vessel that ruptures and bleeds into the surrounding brain. The blood collects and compresses the surrounding brain tissue. The research involved 65 people who had dealt with an intracerebral hemorrhagic stroke. They were examined in contrast to

The U.A.W.’s loss — in what was one of the most closely watched unionization votes in decades — is expected to slow, perhaps stymie, the union’s plans to organize other auto plants in the South. Two other German-owned plants, Mercedes-Benz in Alabama and BMW in South Carolina, have been among its top targets.

Pelosi explained why the law is “very sound policy” during a press conference Friday: To go to back to our founders once again, they sacrificed it all for life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. This law, the affordable care act, is about a healthier life, the liberty to pursue your happiness. That is solid policy, and the mandate is central to that. Americans watching the Affordable Care Act’s implementation are witnessing a government policy debacle that is as large as any in memory. It is hard to imagine a more vivid demonstration of the ruinous consequences of government stepping into a market in which it doesn’t belong. And, sadly, what we are seeing now is only the beginning of the policy’s failure. In its most updated assessment of the ACA, the government’s own Congressional Budget Office caught the Democrats flat-footed by projecting that the law is severely flawed on a number of fronts, matching in many ways what the ACA opponents clearly
