Bill Clinton: American Military Is
Now 'Less Racist, Less Sexist,
and Less Homophobic'

Weekly Standard, by Daniel Halper

Original Article

Posted By:ledwith, 11/4/2012 9:56:44 PM

At a campaign rally for President Barack Obama yesterday in Virginia, former President Bill Clinton talked about bringing "this country together" and crossing "all of its diversity." Then, Clinton added this: "One of the things the decider-in-chief has to do is decide whether he’s going to bring this country together across all its diversity or let it drift apart. Look at how much stronger the American military is because it is less racist, less sexist and less homophobic and we’re just looking for people who can do the job," said Clinton.

Comments:
Note that combat effectiveness or the ability to wage war are not criteria for Democratic politicians.

The impeached, disbarred, lech has spoken!

The Democrats have quite the bench, eh? A cretin Constitutionally barred from seeking the presidency and his, er, loving wife who is neck-deep in a scandal with cowardice and deceit writ large. Rather than face the public she chooses to stay abroad for long stretches. Despite this, she is still viewed as a popular choice in 2016!

Democratic bench? They've chopped it up for firewood to keep warm in the winter of Obama's economic ruin.

Clinton did Mogadishu like Obama did Benghazi.
Why would you trust the Dems with the security of our country? Reprehensible.

Less well-funded, less well-equipped, and less supported by those affiliated with the Democrat Party.

70% of American casualties in Afghanistan have come under Barack Hussein Obama's "leadership." In less than four years, Obama has got more American Soldiers killed or injured in Afghanistan than President Bush did in EIGHT.

Such leadership!

All hail Wise King Barky, and the pathological liar and Rapist-in-Chief who endorses him!

And because of their zeal for diversity we have muslims like Major Nadal Hassan getting promoted and the red flags being ignored. I liked the "old military" better. The ones that could trust their fellow soldiers to have their backs; not having to look over their shoulders to see if they were going to be killed by a "comrad".

Clinton helping out on the campaign, I have read, rarely leads to a success. Seems that folks only call in the cad as a last resort - Gore sure didn't want him. BJ's presence is a leading indicator that the candidate is losing and not likely to turn things around.

What is he talking about? When i was in the AF I worked with blacks, latins, gays, lesbians, democrats and republicans and we never had problems on the job.

Even in the early 70's when blacks were creating mayhem on some bases I found showing respect for them they showed respect back and never bothered me.

You can never demand respect. You show it then it will come back to you. Well it did during my lifetime.

Five or six years ago a distinguished writer-director (if I may be permitted the epithet in connection with a Hollywood personage) was co-author of a screen play nominated for an Academy Award. He was too nervous to attend the proceedings on the big night, so he was listening to a broadcast at home, pacing the floor tensely, chewing his fingers, taking long breaths, scowling and debating with himself in hoarse whispers whether to stick it out until the Oscars were announced, or turn the damned radio off and read about it in the papers the next morning.

In the middle of an eastern Chinese city´s new main road, rising incongruously from a huge circle in the freshly laid pavement, is a five-story row house with ragged edges. This is the home of the duck farmer who said "no." Luo Baogen and his wife are the lone holdouts from a neighborhood that was demolished to make way for the main thoroughfare heading to a newly built railway station on the outskirts of the city of Wenling in Zhejiang province.

RUSH: Folks, I don´t know how else to categorize this. We are living in a dying country. I don´t know how else to categorize what´s happening -- 88,000 new jobs. The unemployment rate, because of a terrible statistic, is down to 7.6%. The number of people in this country who are not working is shameful. Ninety million Americans are no longer in the workforce. Ninety million. People not in the labor force grew by 663,000, and now 90 million. That´s the labor force participation rate. This is 1979 levels.

President Obama´s biggest gaffe yesterday when speaking of California Attorney General Kamala Harris was not in flirtatiously complimenting her as "the best-looking attorney general," but in introducing an observation from the system of beauty into a forum that was about the system of power. What´s that, you say? Irin Carmon does a great job in Salon in laying out the bounds of propriety for when it´s appropriate to talk about a woman´s looks as a general matter. But I´ve long felt we lack a solid theoretical underpinning for easily discussing these issues, and why precisely it is that

No one is more preoccupied these days with Hillary Clinton´s 2016 plans than the Beltway political class—not even the former presidential candidate herself. To hear some tell it, her decision will be dispositive for all other Democrats thinking of entering the race. And pundits and reporters aren´t the only ones positing the "The Hillary Factor": No less than the House Democratic whip, Steny Hoyer, told BuzzFeed, “I don´t know that anybody would run against Hillary…. If she runs, she clears the field.” It´s an understandable conclusion, given Clinton´s stature in the Democratic Party and her 70 percent
