After Promising ‘We’ll Get to
Libya a Little Bit Later’ in
His Show, Gregory Does...
168 Hours Later

Newsbusters, by Brent Baker

Original Article

Posted By:Not your typical New Yorker, 11/4/2012 7:32:18 PM

When, ten minutes into the October 28 Meet the Press, guest panelist Carly Fiorina brought up Benghazi, host David Gregory cut her off, but promised: “We’ll get to Libya a little bit later.” The show proceeded for nearly another 50 minutes without another mention of Libya. A full seven days later -- 168 hours to be precise -- Gregory made good on his belated pledge, raising Benghazi with Obama operative David Plouffe just over ten minutes into the November 4 Meet the Press, but only after trying to discredit administration critics:

Comments:
David Gregory(Howdy Doody) has single-handedly ruined what was once the most prestigious news show on television.

All by his damned self too!

When I saw that in real-time, I knew it was a brush-off. Carly's response should have been: "No, let's talk about it now".

Also watched this as it happened. Knew he wouldn't 'get to Libya a little bit later'....

Also, FTA: ~~Neither ABC’s This Week nor CBS’s Face the Nation touched Libya/Benghazi.~~

Coincidence?

I will never understand why any conservative watches MTP, ABC or CBS on Sunday morning. Nor will I ever understand wasting one's time watching anything on MSNBC. The only reason those shows get any ratings at all is because conservatives watch them and then get all upset when the content is complete rubbish. Life is too short to annoy oneself with the likes of David Gregory or Chris Matthews. Give me a class act like Brit Hume every time.

#8, wishful thinking. If Romney wins tomorrow the media will not go away, they will go on attack and stay in that mode for 4 years.

As long as the Republicans or any conservatives goes on their shows nothing will change. The right needs to show them the complete lack of respect that they show for us.

They have shown ZERO interest in this story on Benghazi and for political reasons. They have gotten away with it even though there have been hundreds of articles written pointing it out. Only the informed are aware of it - and only a small percentage of America is informed. How incredibly sad is that?

The MSM is covering Libya just a little and we start thinking that perhaps they will cover it after the election. NO. If Obama wins they will see it as a referendum on Libya and drop coverage except for low level heads rolling. If Romney wins they will say that Obama is gone anyway so now it's Romney's problem and Romney will get a grilling.

Mets fans greeted Mayor de Blasio with hearty Bronx cheers on Monday, before he left early on the Amazins’ bitter Opening Day loss. Donning a pinstripe home white jersey and blue Mets cap over dress pants, de Blasio was loudly booed twice by Flushing faithful — once as he was announced and then again as he left the Citi Field diamond. The wave of boos didn’t get to de Blasio, who kept his cool, kicked and delivered from just in front of the pitcher’s mound.

In its "You´re the Boss" small-business blog, the New York Times quotes his prediction that by 2025, "fewer than 20 percent of workers in the private sector will receive traditional employer-sponsored health insurance."

Several elements of his comments were misleading: (1) At first blush, the 35 percent stat is both significant and impressive. As recently as last month, the share of "young invincibles" signing up for plans was struggling in the 25 percent range, far short of the actuarial target of nearly 40 percent.
