| Lima, Ohio - Speaking to reporters here Friday after a full day of passionate campaign speeches from President Barack Obama, senior adviser David Axelrod said that Obama's enthusiasm "is coming from his loins. "I've never seen him more exhilarated than he is right now. He believes in what he's doing. He believes in what he's fighting for. You can see in the speech that he's delivering that this is coming from his loins. I just wanted to say loins," Axelrod added with a smile. "I wanted to see if I can get loins in the story." The adviser also noted that he thinks "the thing that's most difficult

There's some confusion here. I clicked on a headline that said something about Obama's power coming from his loins, and I'm getting an article about the power crews.

Dang. These people must know that they're headed, politically speaking, for the electric chair and that there's not going to be any last minute commutation. It's clear to all sentient leftists that now's the time to panic. The Obama-Axelrod Axis have their instructions to turn off their thinking units, open all orifices, and revolve. Then it mixes the Kool Aid in the garbage cans and waits for the Jones to give the signal.
Four miserable years after the voters' mass mistake this fruitless merry go round of misgovernance is just about to go full circle. So now they're down to the groin. Too bad they're not studs.
Whatever The Big O is hiding, it must be devastating. And speaking of loins, here's a word from Sheriff Buford T. Justice:

First Axelrod's mustache, now Obama's loins. What will be next? What in the world is going on? Is Axelrod losing his mind? The strain is starting show. He is beginning to crack. This could get really ugly when the Sock Puppet loses next week. I have images of Axelrod being dragged away screaming "No! No! No!" before he is put in a room and sedated. He won't be the only one, either. I hope grief counselors are standing by. Maybe FEMA should be put on alert. A human caused disaster is looming for Democrats. Lots of people are going to suffer. There will be no joy in Mudville when Mighty Casey strikes out. Ironically, the one person least likely to suffer is the Sock Puppet himself. His self-esteem is armored and invincible. His love for himself will protect him from the pain of loss that others are sure to feel. There is more at stake here than the non-election of a single Sock Puppet. An entire world view is at stake. The liberal establishment as we know it is tottering. A Goetterdammerung of the Left is here.

General John Pope took command of the Federak Army of Virginia in Spring, 1862. He had experienced vmodest victories in the West, and President Lincoln thought he was worth a try in the more-challenging East. The arrogant Pope, when asked where his headquarters would be located, replied "In the saddle". A Confederate wag commented that Pope's "...headquarters were where his hindquarters ought to be". You may recall that Lee and Stonewall Jackson then administered a condign defeat to Pope at Second Manassas. Pope then went off to Minnesota to contest the Sioux uprising, and wasn't heard from again.
"From his loins", indeed.

Hahahahaha. Axelrod sees the Obama internal polling and knows it's over for them. It's the fourth quarter, 30 seconds left, Obama is losing 28 to 0, and Romney has the ball and is gaining 6+ yards on each play. Axelrod knows it is hopless and is now just goofing around, amusing himself on the sideline while the clock runs out, akin to "made you say 'dirigible.'"

KABUL, Afghanistan -- A NATO airstrike in eastern Afghanistan killed 11 civilians, 10 of them children, in addition to the Taliban militants it was trying to hit, Afghan officials said. The strike late Saturday in the Shigal district of restive Kunar province near Pakistan was called by coalition forces after they and their Afghan counterparts came under an attack that killed one American advisor and badly wounded four Afghan troops. The American death was reported on Saturday, but details of the alleged civilian casualties only surfaced Sunday. Wasifullah Wasifi, spokesperson for the governor of Kunar province, said the strike

The biggest political problem faced by so-called “liberals” and so-called “progressives” in President Obama’s second term is how to prevent voters from holding them politically responsible as the public comes to realize how badly they were lied to during the first Obama term to win passage of Obamacare. (Snip) Just wait until the broad realization dawns that the harsh reality of Obamacare is that tens of millions will lose their employer provided insurance because of the perverse incentives under the program. Gluten-free diets are all the rage, but they can be dangerous if not done right. What is gluten? It´s the spongy complex of proteins, found naturally in wheat, rye, and barley, that gives elasticity to dough and allows it to rise. When flour is moistened and either kneaded or mixed into dough, gluten molecules form an elastic, microscopic latticework that traps the carbon dioxide produced when yeast ferments, causing dough to inflate like a hot air balloon. Baking hardens the gluten, which helps the finished product keep its shape. Wheat — and gluten — is ubiquitous in the American diet.

The deaths took place sometime between Thursday afternoon and evening by someone who had some type of relationship with the victims, the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office said. The bodies were discovered Friday outside Holbrook, a town of about 400 people just north of the Idaho-Utah state line. Authorities said a 2-month-old was found under the arm of one of the victims — 27-year-old Yavette Chivon Carter.

NEW YORK -- In case Americans want to scarf down their fast-food even faster, KFC is stripping the bones out of its chicken. The fast-food chain says it´s introducing deep-fried boneless chicken pieces on April 14 as an alternative to its traditional breast, thigh and drumstick pieces. The new offering reflects the growing popularity of nuggets and strips that are easier to eat on the go, as well as Americans´ seemingly endless desire for more convenient foods. KFC says nearly four out of five servings of chicken sold in the U.S. are now boneless. Based on customer trends

In a blog post, the 70-year-old said he´ll take a "leave of presence." "I am not going away," the ailing Pulitzer Prize winner wrote in a note posted late Tuesday. "My intent is to continue to write selected reviews but to leave the rest to a talented team of writers. ... Climate change is expanding sea ice in Antarctica, a paradoxical finding that appears to be the result of melting glaciers, according to a new study. As freshwater glaciers melt, cold water sinks into the ocean, keeping the sea colder than it would otherwise be. The fresh water is less dense than seawater, so it floats on the top layer of the ocean, which in turn stays cooler. That makes it easier for the seas to freeze again in the Antarctic fall and winter, scientists say. This negative feedback is expected to continue, they added. Sea ice levels

"I don´t understand it," the Arizona Republican said on Sunday of the threat coming from Sen. Rand Paul,Sen. Ted Cruz, Sen. Mike Lee and nine other Republicans. "The purpose of the United States Senate is to debate and to vote and to let the people know where we stand.” "What are we afraid of? ... If this issue is as important as we all think it is, why not take ... it up and debate?"

President Obama´s biggest gaffe yesterday when speaking of California Attorney General Kamala Harris was not in flirtatiously complimenting her as "the best-looking attorney general," but in introducing an observation from the system of beauty into a forum that was about the system of power. What´s that, you say? Irin Carmon does a great job in Salon in laying out the bounds of propriety for when it´s appropriate to talk about a woman´s looks as a general matter. But I´ve long felt we lack a solid theoretical underpinning for easily discussing these issues, and why precisely it is that

Recent research indicates that the number of people who do not consider themselves a part of an organized religion is steadily on the rise. Interestingly enough, though the number of those religiously unaffiliated is increasing, there is little to no trend in the number of those who express atheist or agnostic beliefs. People aren’t saying they don’t believe in God. They’re saying they don’t believe in religion. They are not rejecting Christ. They are rejecting the church. This begs the question, “Why are we losing our religion?”

Los Angeles — Some people have had it with TV. They´ve had enough of the 100-plus channel universe. They don´t like timing their lives around network show schedules. They´re tired of $100-plus monthly bills. A growing number of them have stopped paying for cable and satellite TV service, and don´t even use an antenna to get free signals over the air. (Snip) Last month, the Nielsen Co. started labeling people in this group "Zero TV" households, because they fall outside the traditional definition of a TV home. There are 5 million of these residences in the U.S., up from

On Friday, Sean Hannity brought Pat Smith, mother of the late Sean Smith, on his radio program. The 34-year-old information management officer was one of four Americans murdered in the Benghazi embassy attack on September 11, 2012. In the chilling interview, a distraught Ms. Smith, in tears, pleaded for answers and spoke of the efforts to silence her. Ms. Smith first relayed how her son, prior to the attack, requested additional security in advance and warned the State Department: He did tell them, ahead of time, he typed it into his little typewriter over there,

Put out an all-points bulletin: Millions of Americans have gone missing from the workforce. Every month that those would-be workers are gone raises the odds that they might never come back, dimming the prospects for future economic growth. The vanishing trend is more than a decade old, but it accelerated during the Great Recession. Throughout 2012, economists held out hope that it had stopped. But then came Friday’s jobs report, and hopes were dashed. The Labor Department reported that the U.S. labor force — everyone who has a job or is looking for one — shrank

Neurosurgeon Ben Carson, considered by some to be a potential Republican contender for president, apologized to Johns Hopkins University for the "poorly chosen words" he used in expressing his opposition to gay marriage last month.“I am sorry for any embarrassment this has caused,” Carson said in the letter, reported in New York Magazine.(Snip) "Although I do believe marriage is between a man and a woman, there are much less offensive ways to make that point. I hope all will look at a lifetime of service over some poorly chosen words.” Carson will remain as commencement speaker at Johns Hopkins,

Susan Patton, the Princeton alumna who became famous for her letter urging Ivy League women to use their college years to find a mate, has been denounced as a traitor to feminism, to coeducation, to the university ideal. But really she’s something much more interesting: a traitor to her class. Her betrayal consists of being gauche enough to acknowledge publicly a truth that everyone who’s come up through Ivy League culture knows intuitively —

Beyonce and Jay-Z celebrated their fifth wedding anniversary in Cuba this week. The couple, who married on April 4, 2008, took in the sights of Old Havana, visited a school, dined on a rooftop terrace and strolled the fan-filled streets in their island best.(snip).The power couple declined to answer journalists´ questions about their visit to the island nation, but some outlets are reporting that the moguls are there as tourists, though that would be illegal because of the half-century embargo the U.S. has on the Communist country. However, the Miami Herald said Washington has issued special licenses for
