PHILADELPHIA — First there was quiet. Then came the “super PACs.” Now the candidate is on his way. In a striking last-minute shift, the Romney campaign has decided to invest its most precious resource — the candidate’s time — in a serious play to win Pennsylvania. Mr. Romney’s appearance here on Sunday could be a crafty political move to seriously undercut President Obama, or it could be a sign of desperation. Either way, his visit represents the biggest jolt yet in a state that was until recently largely ignored in the race for the White House.

How could it be a desperation sign for Romney. It contradicts the DNC statement that, sniff, the Republicans have put on late surges in Pennsylvania every election since 1992 (sniff, sniff).
No, Obama and the DNC are scared stiff that they have to pour more resources into a once-safe state.

Why would this be a sign of desperation? If Romney didn't think he had a chance of winning PA, he wouldn't go there. He'd go somewhere else where he needed to push a state over the top.

Bucks County - suburban area Northeast of Philadelphia - consists heavily of affluent bedroom communities for professionals working in the area, Philadelphia and NYC. Traditionally its seen as a bellwether area that tends to predict the outcome for the state. Annecdotally, things are VERY different than last time. Already there are very few Obama signs and MANY Romney signs. I believe Mr. Romney will be at a Bucks County venue on Sunday afternoon.

The phone rang this afternoon at my house in a suburb of Erie, Pa., and the caller was a clever taping of President Romney. Romney's voice opened with my first name, a nice touch, and asked for my support. (I'm a registered democrat, so that was interesting.)
I sense that Pennsylvania may be able to overcome the disease known as Philadelphia, in the election, and give the victory to President Romney.

If the Romney campaign's internal polls were not showing anything, I don't think they would be wasting time in PA. I think they are confident enough that they have decided that they've weakened Zero's firewall enough, they have have the resources to poke into his "safe" states.
We will probably know the results by Sunday.

According toRealClearPolitics’ Scott Conroy, there were “empty seats scattered around the upper-level of Nationwide Arena … Four years ago, after all, Obama was easily filling venues larger than that …” The event even featured Bruce Springsteen and Jay-Z, and Obama still couldn’t fill it out. Watertown, Mass.– A number of gun shots were fired near Franklin Street in Watertown Friday night and it was believed that suspect number 2 in the Boston Marathon bombings had been shot. FOX 25's Bob Ward reported that as many 30 shots were fired in the neighborhood. Ward reported that Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, the man known as suspect 2, was shot by police.
