Christie needs to realize that recovery resources are being directed to promoting and producing the Springsteen and Bon Jovi big rock concert/party (hosted by Matt Lauer) to raise money that may ... or may not ... eventually reach those impacted by the storm. /s

1. So that when he needed more resources and have them quicker, he would just call on the president and hopefully he would get what he is requesting.

2. If the president doesn't come through as promised, then Christie can show that the president broke yet another promise and is incompetent.

I really am having a moral conflict. This state continues to elect people who advocate bigger and bigger government. Should we allow them to witness and experience the folly of this nirvana or open their eyes with donations and help through those outside the government. Never would donate to the corrupt Red Cross, but would to Salvation Army or Mercury One (100% goes to relief).

Christie was an idiot in this situation. Loves the camera and the limelight. He can't walk this back when it turns into Katrina plus.

With FEMA committed to pay 100% why hurry? In many cases those involved now have less incentive to get the job done.

The public sector is being rewarded. The private sector can only recover as best it can.

Christie will immediately notice he has less influence on recovery efforts because he has less influence on the recovery money.

Is anyone displaced by Katrina still being housed or aided by FEMA? Probably.
