| A watchdog group tasked with monitoring the war in Afghanistan is raising doubts as to whether the Afghan government will be ready for the planned withdrawal of U.S. forces in 2014. A report issued Wednesday by the Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction says Afghanistan is too heavily dependent on foreign assistance and it will have a difficult time sustaining the military’s operations and maintenance costs once the U.S. is gone. Deciding and announcing a troop withdrawal deadline from an occupied country is a lot like a brain surgeon doing an operation proclaiming when he is going to leave the O.R. Brain surgery doesn't work like that. Neither do military affairs. Indeed, very little involving human beings works like that. The comparison is inexact and the real situation even worse, for as everybody but our dunce president and his pals knew from the beginning, disclosing a date of departure in advance could not possibly do anything but lend aid and comfort to the enemy. The results were completely predictable to all but the dunce and company. Of course the announcement of a withdrawal deadline was intended for domestic political consumption only.
What incompetents Democrats are in military matters - among other things. It is truly hard to fathom how they can be as dumb about these matters as they act.

This is similar to what parents face regarding their decision on how old their kids should be before staying home alone without a babysitter. What's going on in Afghanistan is the equivalent of the government telling you....10 years old is old enough. Even a fool knows that's a mistake. All the blood spilled and sacrifices made in both Iraq and Afghanistan....when this Administration has finished it work....will have been totally for nothing. Absolutely nothing. This administration continues to talk about "ending" wars....never winning wars.

We need to stop fighting in countries like this. Humanitarian help is all we should be doing. We have lost how many of our young men? And for what? These people are barbarians and this is thousands of years of culture at play.
This is not like Iraq where they suffered under an evil dictator. We need to get out of there now. They need to figure it out themselves.
