Criminal Negligence: Benghazi
Gave 1-Month Warning

Investor's Business Daily, by Staff

Original Article

Scandal: A month before the terrorist attack, the State Department was warned Benghazi couldn't protect itself and was surrounded by Islamist militia and al-Qaida camps. It was 3 a.m. and the administration pressed "snooze." When the U.S. mission in Benghazi called an Aug. 15 emergency meeting, it wasn't to discuss an obscure Internet video. It was to discuss the lack of security for a consulate surrounded by at least 10 terrorist camps. An Aug. 16 cable to the office of Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and obtained by Fox News reported that the State Department's senior security officer "expressed

Maybe the good ambassador had become troublesome, spoke too earnestly, was straying off the reservation. Maybe it was better that he be dispatched. Very Chicago, that.

How many Americans get their news solely from the Lib network channels and have no idea Benghazi has even happened?

Sounds like absolute proof ''there was big breakdown, and somebody didn't do their job.'' It was ''somebodies,'' and they must be ''held accountable.''

If that was the 3 AM test, this admin failed and Americans died.

The criminal cover-up of Obama's decision to let Americans under attack die in order to protect his reelection campaign - what further damnation of the sick ideology of the Left and its MSM collusionists is needed? Ignorance is no longer an excuse for voting Democrat. From here on out, you are supporting evil on purpose whenever you even give these sickos an inch.

Bravo Investors Business Daily for reporting the killing of four American heroes. Inexplicably, the Wall Street Journal reported exactly nothing in the last three days about Benghazi. Not even on the editorial board page. My subscription to WSJ is expiring and I will not renew it for this failure to inform, covering up for Hussein. They are complicit in Hussein and Hillary's cover up. For the first time I will be without a morning paper. Had to give up on the Los Angeles times 20 years ago because it was terrible for my health. I guess Lucianne and Drudge will have to do from now on.

The media is not only protecting Obama in the short term but also Hillary who they dream of being president in 2016. They figure they broke the racial barrier for Obama,so a woman's next in line. There's no way the left has a woman on the bench for president outside of Hillary and MO,who claims to not be interested.

Hillary said a month before her last senate run she wasn't going to run for president and that went out the window in very short order.

If it wasn't for lying, these people wouldn't know how to move their lips.

The treachery of America's news outlets matches that of the president who callously allowed the rape and murder of an American Ambassador and the slaughter of the former SEALS who tried to protect him.

Money has purchased souls of Old Media journalists, and few tears will be shed when they fall right beside the traitor president they have schemed to protect.

Prayers are being answered.

There's an old joke on Wall Street regarding the crash in '87 that Greenspan knew he could save the country from a crash... he just had to create one first.

I'm connecting some dots here: Obama slipping in the polls. Rescues and big time brass ones, military stuff gives a boost...

Send an ambassador into harm's way. No back up plans; reduced security including an unreliable (perhaps islamist connected) militia. Attack occurs... tell everyone who could do something to 'stand down.' We all know that this is either stupid or ... or what? It was incredibly possible that without the intervention of the few people who were there that the islamists could have made off with one of our ambassadors... a hostage. Big problem. Must save face and do something heroic, eh? (kind of like cashing in on providing aid for a natural disaster)

Prince on shiny white horse rides in and saves hostage and... polls jump?

Why wait til October to have a surprise?

Jus' askin'.

After the election, my huge concern is whether or not our congress will deal with this beyond "party" loyalties! This was/is a national travesty, not a party issue. Sadly, I have little faith in our government to do 'the right thing'...other than a few patriots, who are likely to be overpowered by the media collusion. What a mess... God help us!

Common sense 4 year warnings: 1. Illegal Domestic Enemy. 2. Shielded by corrupt government and worshipful media. 3. Chaos, and delay for maximum chaos, in all things. 4. Taking us to 120 today: Dumpling shaped republican moderates brunching with red diaper lawyers showing their cards for disputing election results, and the planned riots over any post-election impeachment trial, and promising not to plunge for the win by calling Benghazi scandal something like "accessory to murder, but, as a compromise for amity, agreeing to "this was just an unfortunate political advance that went amiss."

This story is like the holes in Obama's past. He clams up and refuses to be truthful. "It's for me to know and you to find out". Even a reward of $5,000,000 doesn't sway him. Waiting for a truthful answer is hopeless. Only intense interrogation would get anywhere.

Sadly, poster #2 has the right slant on all of this. There is a large segment of this country that either doesn't bother to watch, listen, or read ANY news. And some of those that do, get it from the drive-by's. In other words, they have no knowledge of what is going on the the rest of the country, much less the entire world. And if it doesn't affect them, they simply don't care. Just as long as their freebee's keep on coming in.

That way they won't look further into the truth. That Obama worked an OP to have Stevens kidnapped and hostage-traded for the Blind Sheik.

#32. If we are going to go through this tiring ordeal of firing up the time machine and going back, going back(as Obama and Dems comlain/claim pubs do), then let's also dial it back a few years to Clinton. His action or inaction cost lives as well. He did nothing to retaliate for the African embassy attacks, the USS Cole, the first World Trade Center attack, etc. This no doubt emboldened the enemy. Al Quada declared war on the US and Willy just twiddles with cigars.

In regards to this alleged Bush incompetence: If you are talking about 9/11/01, that attack had been in planning since 1996, if that is what you referring to.

Your hypothesis holds water, #36, however I don't believe any paper trails have indicated this so far. Your/the sequence of events make sense: The CIA operative ex-Seals were told to stand down, which they unexpectedly did not. Their intervention ruined Obama and co's theoretical plan and the "kidnap victim" ended up dead instead. The "kidnappers" could not enter the facility unopposed to score their bounty because of the CIA operatives and the terrorists responded with deadly fire for all-defenders as well as ambassador. Makes sense.

this great country's fore fathers designed it to be that way. See, the problem is your man ran as a moderate in the middle type guy. Then he went as far left as one can go. When you do that, your not going to get a lot of support.

And besides, name one thing he put forth that didn't get the support you speak of? Hello? Bueller? I'm waiting.... He couldn't get one vote of support for one of his budgets in the Demoncrap controlled Senate for cryin' out loud.

Why do people liek you act like Obama is King and should just get anything he asked for? This country was not designed to work that way, and was done so for good reason! Hello, 8th grade US history anyone? Sheesh, what is with you people?

I can tell you one time Obama got support, when he called on the Navy Seals to go take out Osama Bin Laden for him, and look how he repays those that do things for him!

This guy isn't worthy of a hand shake, much less your vote!

Look #33, you know that button the nurses told you about when you checked in to that mental institution, you should push it now! Your bed pan is completely full of it!

Romney needs to go hardball on this and simply say "It looks as if President Obama ordered the US military to not attempt a rescue. He betrayed US interest, four embassy staff died and if not for the bravery and competence of two former Navy Seals over 40 would have died. This is not like Beirut in 1981 because the fire fight lasted 4 hours, and there was a warning. It cannot be blamed on "Republican budget cuts because there was no budget. This is simply incompetence, no worse this is what happens when a President reflexively blames America rather than defends America."

At a minimum, Obama is criminally negligent and should spend time in jail for allowing those 4 (and an additional 20+ more if things had gone REALLY bad) Americans to die. Also Leon Panetta and his principal advisor, General Martin Dempsey, are criminally negligent, as well as being abject moral cowards for not lifting a finger to help those brave men in Benghazi.

#5 it is a Ron Brown thing. The evidence had to be eliminated and this was the cleanest way to assure that "dead men tell no tales". There will be physical evidence though which will be damning and all involved will form a circle to protect the Prez. The only thing is that there are some very powerful people who are not going under the bus willingly, e.g, Petraeus, Hillary, even Susan Rice. This is is not going away no matter who wins the election in a week. The House will be in charge of an investigation and there will be plenty of people (including survivors of the attack the leaders in the field who were told to "stand down") who will come forward plus all the media (Cablegrams, emails, etc.) evidence yet to be presented. This is not Chicago although BHO thinks it is - I honestly think he is that stupid, that this can be swept under the rug by pulling the right strings. The story of his fall from power (and history's retelling of it) will not be as easy to airbrush as Monica.

But her recent appearance on Jon Stewart´s show on Comedy Central went about as well as ObamaCare´s train wreck of a rollout.

The Shutdown: Federal closure threatens to bar priests not on active duty from conducting services on military installations or from ministering on base, and they risk being arrested if they attempt to do so. The latest Obama shutdown shame is the news that, until it´s over, none of the families of those killed in Afghanistan can expect to receive the $100,000 death gratuity promised to reach them within 24 to 36 hours. Grieving families also cannot expect the military to cover all the usual costs of family travel to meet their loved ones at Dover Air Force Base where they return

Global Warming: Temperatures have flat-lined for 15 years, the Arctic and Antarctic are gaining record amounts of ice, most computer models have been wrong, yet the networks are buying into the alarmists´ narrative. Earth might not have a fever but the media do, judging by their hyperventilating about the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change´s quite fraudulent report (Fifth Assessment Report or 5AR) released Sept. 27. One network — CBS— even turned a blind eye to the truth and claimed that temperatures "could have risen by more than 200 degrees." This fiction came from CBS´ Ben Tracy

A confirmed atheist when he was 15, C.S. Lewis came around to believing in God when he was 31. "I knelt and prayed: perhaps, that night, the most dejected and reluctant convert in all England," he wrote in his autobiography, "Surprised by Joy." Soon he embraced Christianity. A lecturer at English universities, Lewis became a superstar author by explaining his faith and weaving it creatively into novels. Books including "Mere Christianity," "The Screwtape Letters," "That Hideous Strength" and the series "The Chronicles of Narnia" have sold a total of 200 million copies, but he wasn´t always popular.

Energy Revolution: America´s natural gas boom threatens Russia´s economic strategy, an expert says, leaving it with few alternatives to rescue its economy while threatening to shatter its energy stranglehold on Europe. Russia´s abundance of energy resources has long allowed it to use energy both as a foreign policy weapon and as the bedrock of the Russian economy. Whenever energy prices rose, Russia benefited and its neighbors often felt the restraining leash of dependence on Russian energy, particularly natural gas. Government-controlled energy giant Gazprom was in such a strong position it could demand decade-long contracts

Health Reform: Those icons of voter fraud have been tasked and paid to guide an unwilling public through the ObamaCare enrollment process — while getting access to confidential information on thousands of people seeking health insurance. Somehow it does not surprise us that among the conductors on the train wreck known as ObamaCare will be leftist agitators from President Obama´s beloved Acorn, the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now. They´ll get up to $48 an hour as "navigators" to lead us through the dead-end ObamaCare maze. As Mathew Vadum reports on the American Spectator blog

Who throws a shoe? Honestly! That would be 36-year-old Alison Ernst of Phoenix, Arizona, who was charged Thursday night with disorderly conduct by the Las Vegas Police Department after allegedly throwing a shoe at former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. According to NBC News, who spoke with a Secret Service official, the U.S. Attorney’s office has declined federal prosecution. Ernst was wearing shoes on Thursday night when she attended a speech Clinton was giving in Las Vegas, but apparently brought an extra one specifically to throw at the former secretary of state. The official said the incident appeared to be “premeditated.”

Many Americans have been watching with great consternation the ongoing struggle between the Federal Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and the U.S. Marshals against Cliven Bundy and his family. There are no signs of either side relinquishing their position. Many onlookers have been informed that this dispute is over protecting the desert tortoise. But it is nothing of the sort. In fact, the reality of the dispute goes far underneath what is being talked about. The more appropriate source of the dispute is ground water as well as surface water -- this is a war over water. Cliven Bundy and his

A Nevada cattle rancher appears to have won his week-long battle with the federal government over a controversial cattle roundup that had led to the arrest of several protesters. Cliven Bundy went head to head with the Bureau of Land Management over the removal of hundreds of his cattle from federal land, where the government said they were grazing illegally. Bundy claims his herd of roughly 900 cattle have grazed on the land along the riverbed near Bunkerville, 80 miles northeast of Las Vegas, since 1870 and threatened a "range war" against the BLM on the Bundy Ranch website after one of

Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-CA) is now accusing the Keystone pipeline of being a cancer risk. Her first point was that the pipeline “will bring 830,000 barrels of dirty tar sands oil into our nation every day.” She then segued to point #2 by asserting that the heavy tar sands oil will put people who live near refineries at risk for cancer: Significantly higher levels of dangerous air pollutants and carcinogens have been documented downwind from tar sands refineries, and in these areas people are suffering higher rates of the types of cancers linked to these toxic chemicals, including leukemia and

Let me obliterate a bit of confusion here: the Obama administration attempted to go to war with a rancher in Nevada. Let me amplify a little bit of truth: They tucked tail and have returned home. And let me add a bit of clarity: they had no choice! As the nation began to become familiar with the plight of the family of Cliven Bundy, many of us harkened back to another standoff in which the Federal government attempted to bully it´s outcome: Waco, Texas and the Branch Davidian massacre. It is telling that in the Nevada case the feds pulled out so

President Obama stood Friday with the Rev. Al Sharpton and accused Republicans of trying to keep millions of Americans from voting, in a fiery speech days after new revelations about Sharpton’s past as an FBI informant. “The right to vote is threatened today in a way that it has not been since the Voting Rights Act became law nearly five decades ago,” Obama told the annual convention of Sharpton’s National Action Network in Manhattan. Obama’s appearance represented a presidential seal of approval of Sharpton’s role as a civil rights activist, amid the new revelations about how Sharpton used a wire to record

They’re both qualified, respectful of each other (shocker!), and represent the vast majority of middle America. So what’s not to like about another Clinton/Bush race for 2016? When you mention the prospect of Clinton vs. Bush 2016 a funny thing happens. First, there is the reflexive response: "Oh no, not again. We don´t need more dynastic politics in this country." But upon further reflection, you realize Jeb Bush vs. Hillary Clinton would be a great race and actually good for the country. Let´s review. QUALIFICATIONS—THEY’VE BOTH GOT THEM. Barack Obama won the presidency because in an election where the premium was on change, it mattered little

A rapid shift to wind and solar power is needed if the world is to avoid catastrophic global warming, the United Nations warns in a crucial report today. Emissions of greenhouse gases need to be cut by up to 70 per cent before 2050 to control climate change, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) says. ‘Large-scale changes in energy systems’ are required, with coal power stations to be switched off and replaced by wind and solar. And the transformation needs to be made in the next 15 years or controlling climate change will become increasingly harder and more expensive. The report was published

LAS VEGAS — The Nevada Republican Party stripped opposition to abortion and gay marriage from its platform Saturday as state convention delegates instead focused on judging fellow Republicans on their worthiness to serve in office and adherence to GOP values. The platform, with few changes, was adopted overwhelmingly as the Las Vegas convention stretched late into the evening. The vote mirrors that of the Clark County GOP, which voted earlier to remove platform language defining marriage as between a man and a woman and statements opposing abortion. Many Republicans are re-evaluating their strong stances on conservative social issues as public

Say what you will about Sens. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) and Ted Cruz (R-Tex.), but they know a train wreck when they see it. They also know when to separate themselves from the cranks and the losers on the right. Although both supported the shutdown and were heartily supported by tea party groups in their own Senate races, neither one has endorsed Matt Bevin in Kentucky, Milton Wolf in Kansas or Chris McDaniel in Mississippi. In fact, Cruz’s office confirms he hasn’t endorsed anyone in the primaries. He may weigh in after the primaries. Rand Paul has endorsed two very establishment

A brazen flash mob has been caught on camera storming a California store and making off with $20,000 worth of sunglasses. Surveillance footage shows eight women piling into a Sunglass Hut and crowding around display cases. Shielding workers from what they´re doing, they quickly stuff dozens of fashion specs into their bags. A store clerk pleads with them to stop, before running out of the shot to get help and dial 911. The thieves then all bolt outside and escape in a waiting SUV. The incident occurred at the Valencia Town Center mall, in Santa Clarita, at 3 p.m. on

It’s hardly been a secret that in recent years the moderate center of the Democrat party has been driven away and what remains is a conglomeration of disparate blocs which, to date, the party has been able to treat as if there were no conflicting interests between them. As the midterm elections approach and the administration’s incompetence, along with the distaste for the president’s signature ObamaCare legislation, drive the party’s chances down further, the make-believe coalition of opposites may well crumble if the opposition doesn’t blow it. Democrats hope to retain control of the Senate and recapture the House by driving
