I expect the Dept. of Labor to try and cook the figures by leaving out some state like Calif. again, even though they will be caught. Some kind of trickery is certain. The stated number of jobs created isn't even half of what is necessary with new people entering the labor market to keep the unemployment figure stable.

All of the above posters are correct. Journalists have been trying to build "suspense" when everybody with a brain knows the number won't reflect much change which would hurt Obama. These federal employees that tally the numbers are thoroughly politically compromised.

Earlier this week, there was discussion by the Dept. of Labor to postpone these numbers. Then, all of a sudden, the decision was to publish them Friday. That means that the unemployment numbers will certainly drop.
My bet is that the government-sponsored unemployment rate will drop to something like 6.9% or 7.0%.

I would bet that another half million to one million people will be subtracted from the labor pool, bringing the labor participation rate down another few tenths of a percent, so that the "official" unemployment rate can be shown to have dropped significantly: lies, damned lies, and statistics. Obama and the Legacy Media will be crowing like roosters at dawn. Of course, in a month or two when it no longer matters, those numbers will be adjusted in the direction of reality.

We at Townhall have been covering this hotly contested Senate race for months and the results are finally in: With 36 percent of precincts reporting, Elizabeth Warren has been declared the next junior Senator from Massachusetts. Warren has never held public office before and the eye-popping $40 million she raised this election cycle evidently proved more than enough to unseat incumbent Senator Scott Brown. This was the most expensive Senate race of 2012 -- by a long shot.
