Geraldo Slams GOP (and Fox News?)
‘Bloodlust’ On Benghazi: ‘Life
Is Not An Action Movie’

Mediaite, by Josh Feldman

Original Article

Posted By:KarenJ1, 11/1/2012 11:49:27 AM

Geraldo Rivera is bucking the Fox News trend on criticizing the Obama administration’s handling of the death of four Americans at the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya, and is criticizing the criticism. Fox News has been keeping focus on the story, and some of the network’s personalities have taken to criticize the media for ignoring the story. Rivera rebutted the criticism, arguing that it is a “cruel myth” to suggest the deaths of the four Americans killed might have been prevented, and said, “Life is not an action movie.”

Comments:
He should be fired. He doesn't belong on Fox News. Let him go over to MessNBC where he will fit in perfectly. Life is not an action movie?? What an irony he should say this since he is the one who always inserted himself into the action in Iraq or Afghanistan.

Well, that's a big surprise. Here's another surprise: Juan Williams thinks the rest of the Fox News people are crazy too. So does Bob Beckel. Who'da thunk?!

Odd, it isn't like Geraldo to miss the point of something entirely.

The "Fox News trend". What a crock.
WHERE are the other media outlets on this?
WHY is Fox the only one even looking into this?
Rivera is and always has been a self-promoting gasbag, so who really CARES what his opinion is?
Where's that reporter from Denver who hit such a raw nerve with Obama? He's a rarity, and he puts the rest of the national media to shame, and exposes them for what they truly are: Leftist propagandists. It's not just WHAT the Leftist media report, it's often what they don't report, and this Benghazi matter is just one case of it.

One more thought:

Forget the comparison to Watergate - they are as incomparable as bicycles and hamsters.

Rather, compare the media storm over Abu Graibh and Benghazi. THERE's the story: the media double standard.

Obama's abuse and coverup on Benghazi is treason at it's worst, and a high crime/misdemeanor at it's best.
Either of these fit the criteria for impeachment.

Saw Jerry Rivers on Fox the other night and his whole thing is that no military could have helped the Navy Seals.

Gee... ya think that if the White House and the State Department hadn't decided no to allow more forces there to protect the men...that they would have died.

This is much more than just the fact that the phone calls seeking help were denied. It also has to do with the weeks and months before the attack itself.

See Braveheart...the scene where William Wallace waves the flag in battle while looking at the clansmen on horseback..and waiting for them to aid him in battle...only to have them turn their horses and slowly leave him and his men.

The look on his face was the look on the faces of our Navy Seals as our government..the most powerful in the world..turned its back on them.

Leave no man behind... is just an Obama campaign slogan for a storm. It has nothing to do with our military.

And guess what? The United States military and their families know that Obama and his leftist cronies will leave the military behind.

Gee, Geraldo is in LUV with obama! Surprise, surprise! If FNC had ANY integrity, and they don't, they would send this bottom-feeder back to messnbc ( even they fired him) and let him rail with the rest of the obama-punks over there! And THIS, after giving a big wet kiss to Charles Woods, on camera, whose son was murdered by the feckless-obama administration! Sickening!

If our military had zeroed in on that laser-pointed gun and had blown it up, the Muslim fanatics would have scattered like frightened rats. The fanatics are very brave when then think they have the upper hand, but cry like babies who've wet their diapers when they are confrotned with superior strength.

That's why they switch sides so often. They are cowards who value self-preservation over any doctrine.

Fox, and television in general, is not for those who are serious about gaining an understanding of world events. The best you can say about Fox is that they are not as bad as CNN, CBS, NBC, etc.

The Left are circling the wagons around the Obama administration regarding Benghazi, and the only "attacking marauders" are Fox News and Issa. Jerry Rivers and Juan Williams are Fox's "token" Progressive/Socialists (Bekel is there for "s--ts & giggles". If you ever get the opportunity, ask Jerry Rivers how he inserted himself into the Oklahoma Federal Building bombing and the result. The guys a total facade.

I love being lectured to by this man. In fact I would love to meet him face to face so he could 'school' me about the real world. TV, FOX, and the media in general test my gag reflex on a daily basis, but a big thank you to all the rich people on the right who couldn't figure out how to counter the wall to wall leftist media for the past 40 years. They would have made a lot of money and maybe educated some of the almost 50% 'low information' voters who are owned by pukes like Jerry Rivers.

I rarely express an opinion until I learn from Geraldo Rivera how a story has affected him personally. /s

Clearly the last names of the players in this story shaped his feelings. If the SEALS had been Rodriguez, Tamale, and Piñata instead of Woods and other gringo names (and of course if Bush was POTUS), Geraldo would be so hot that his moustache wax would've melted and he'd be sporting a droopy Pancho Villa.

Geraldo is one of the prominent Democrat Party moles working at Fox News. Others include Alan Colmes, Bob Beckel and Juan Williams. I know that they're there to provide proof of the "fair and balanced" meme, but with their incessant left-wing partisan ship, I wonder how long it will be before they go the way of Sally Cohn (another obnoxious Dem plant, who seems to have disappeared from the airways).

Fast forward the DVR or change the channel when Jerry Rivers shows his face on Fox. I have no desire to listen to anything he has to say about anything. Same with Juan Williams and Bob Beckel. They add nothing to any serious discussion.

Joyce Karam, Washington correspondent for pan-Arabic daily Al-Hayat, offers a sobering assessment on the Al-Arabiya website of the current administrations efforts in the post-”Arab Spring” Middle East. She begins by noting a how a minor recent diplomatic walkback highlights the White House’s contradictory policy: It was only fitting that the U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry announces another traditional trip to the Middle East on the same day that the U.S. embassy in Cairo withdraws its tweet advancing the case for Egyptian Comedian Bassem Youssef as he faces intimidation from the Mursi government.

Recent research indicates that the number of people who do not consider themselves a part of an organized religion is steadily on the rise. Interestingly enough, though the number of those religiously unaffiliated is increasing, there is little to no trend in the number of those who express atheist or agnostic beliefs. People aren’t saying they don’t believe in God. They’re saying they don’t believe in religion. They are not rejecting Christ. They are rejecting the church. This begs the question, “Why are we losing our religion?”

Beginning a week of high pressure on gun control, the White House on Monday accused some Republican senators of cowardice for planning to filibuster gun legislation without allowing the full Senate to vote on President Obama’s initiatives. “If they oppose this legislation, have the courage to say so on the floor and vote no,” said White House press secretary Jay Carney. “Don’t block it. Don’t hide behind a procedural action to prevent a vote. That’s the wrong thing to do, and that’s how the president clearly feels.”

There was growing buzz over the weekend that a bipartisan agreement on gun control — a deal that would expand background checks — could hit the floor as early as this week. However, any deal could be derailed by the looming threat of a Republican filibuster involving Texas Sen. Ted Cruz. With Cruz standing proudly in the way of any gun legislation, Democrats are trying to make him pay a political price — and even a couple of high-profile Republicans are questioning his tactics.
