Geraldo Slams GOP (and Fox News?)
‘Bloodlust’ On Benghazi: ‘Life
Is Not An Action Movie’

Mediaite, by Josh Feldman

Original Article

Posted By:KarenJ1, 11/1/2012 11:49:27 AM

Geraldo Rivera is bucking the Fox News trend on criticizing the Obama administration’s handling of the death of four Americans at the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya, and is criticizing the criticism. Fox News has been keeping focus on the story, and some of the network’s personalities have taken to criticize the media for ignoring the story. Rivera rebutted the criticism, arguing that it is a “cruel myth” to suggest the deaths of the four Americans killed might have been prevented, and said, “Life is not an action movie.”

Comments:
He should be fired. He doesn't belong on Fox News. Let him go over to MessNBC where he will fit in perfectly. Life is not an action movie?? What an irony he should say this since he is the one who always inserted himself into the action in Iraq or Afghanistan.

Well, that's a big surprise. Here's another surprise: Juan Williams thinks the rest of the Fox News people are crazy too. So does Bob Beckel. Who'da thunk?!

The "Fox News trend". What a crock.
WHERE are the other media outlets on this?
WHY is Fox the only one even looking into this?
Rivera is and always has been a self-promoting gasbag, so who really CARES what his opinion is?
Where's that reporter from Denver who hit such a raw nerve with Obama? He's a rarity, and he puts the rest of the national media to shame, and exposes them for what they truly are: Leftist propagandists. It's not just WHAT the Leftist media report, it's often what they don't report, and this Benghazi matter is just one case of it.

One more thought:

Forget the comparison to Watergate - they are as incomparable as bicycles and hamsters.

Rather, compare the media storm over Abu Graibh and Benghazi. THERE's the story: the media double standard.

Obama's abuse and coverup on Benghazi is treason at it's worst, and a high crime/misdemeanor at it's best.
Either of these fit the criteria for impeachment.

Saw Jerry Rivers on Fox the other night and his whole thing is that no military could have helped the Navy Seals.

Gee... ya think that if the White House and the State Department hadn't decided no to allow more forces there to protect the men...that they would have died.

This is much more than just the fact that the phone calls seeking help were denied. It also has to do with the weeks and months before the attack itself.

See Braveheart...the scene where William Wallace waves the flag in battle while looking at the clansmen on horseback..and waiting for them to aid him in battle...only to have them turn their horses and slowly leave him and his men.

The look on his face was the look on the faces of our Navy Seals as our government..the most powerful in the world..turned its back on them.

Leave no man behind... is just an Obama campaign slogan for a storm. It has nothing to do with our military.

And guess what? The United States military and their families know that Obama and his leftist cronies will leave the military behind.

Gee, Geraldo is in LUV with obama! Surprise, surprise! If FNC had ANY integrity, and they don't, they would send this bottom-feeder back to messnbc ( even they fired him) and let him rail with the rest of the obama-punks over there! And THIS, after giving a big wet kiss to Charles Woods, on camera, whose son was murdered by the feckless-obama administration! Sickening!

If our military had zeroed in on that laser-pointed gun and had blown it up, the Muslim fanatics would have scattered like frightened rats. The fanatics are very brave when then think they have the upper hand, but cry like babies who've wet their diapers when they are confrotned with superior strength.

That's why they switch sides so often. They are cowards who value self-preservation over any doctrine.

Fox, and television in general, is not for those who are serious about gaining an understanding of world events. The best you can say about Fox is that they are not as bad as CNN, CBS, NBC, etc.

The Left are circling the wagons around the Obama administration regarding Benghazi, and the only "attacking marauders" are Fox News and Issa. Jerry Rivers and Juan Williams are Fox's "token" Progressive/Socialists (Bekel is there for "s--ts & giggles". If you ever get the opportunity, ask Jerry Rivers how he inserted himself into the Oklahoma Federal Building bombing and the result. The guys a total facade.

I love being lectured to by this man. In fact I would love to meet him face to face so he could 'school' me about the real world. TV, FOX, and the media in general test my gag reflex on a daily basis, but a big thank you to all the rich people on the right who couldn't figure out how to counter the wall to wall leftist media for the past 40 years. They would have made a lot of money and maybe educated some of the almost 50% 'low information' voters who are owned by pukes like Jerry Rivers.

I rarely express an opinion until I learn from Geraldo Rivera how a story has affected him personally. /s

Clearly the last names of the players in this story shaped his feelings. If the SEALS had been Rodriguez, Tamale, and Piñata instead of Woods and other gringo names (and of course if Bush was POTUS), Geraldo would be so hot that his moustache wax would've melted and he'd be sporting a droopy Pancho Villa.

Geraldo is one of the prominent Democrat Party moles working at Fox News. Others include Alan Colmes, Bob Beckel and Juan Williams. I know that they're there to provide proof of the "fair and balanced" meme, but with their incessant left-wing partisan ship, I wonder how long it will be before they go the way of Sally Cohn (another obnoxious Dem plant, who seems to have disappeared from the airways).

A most excellent suggestion # 22, Catherine Herridge is a true journalist in every traditional sense of the word. Fox will dump the loud mouth egotist Rivers, and give Catherine Herridge her own show and way more time, if Fox wants to put more distance between themselves and the LSM with American people.

I believe that at one time Catherine Herridge thought she would be part of a Fox program. I think she did some on air time, but they felt she was not as warm (and blonde) as others. As I recollect, she sued Fox for discrimination and won, but also kept her job. Anyone else remember this?

Jimmy Carter has been very active in the decades since his presidency, and his successors have occasionally called for his advice. Except, it turns out, the current occupant of the office. A clip from Carter’s upcoming Meet the Press interview reveals that President Obama is the first president since Carter left office not to solicit the Southern Democrat’s advice. Carter explained, “President Clinton did and President George W. Bush and H.W. Bush and even Ronald Reagan used to call on us to go into sensitive areas.” They all asked Carter to deal with “unsavory characters,” but Obama hasn’t reached out to

Last week, President Obama directed his Homeland Security Department to examine its current deportation practices -- "to see how it can conduct enforcement more humanely, within the confines of the law," the White House announced on March 13. But with immigration reform stalled in Congress, what more can Obama do? "I think he´s going to wait until August," said Telemundo anchor and immigration-reform advocate José Díaz-Balart. And if Congress doesn´t act on immigration reform by then, "I wouldn´t be surprised if he starts making some very controversial executive orders to mitigate the pain of millions of people who face deportation," Díaz-Balart told

Susan Rice, national security adviser to President Barack Obama, said on Friday that the administration still believes there is a diplomatic solution to the crisis in Ukraine as Russian troops mobilized along the country’s entire eastern border. CBS News reported on Friday that a mass mobilization of Russian forces was taking place on Ukraine’s eastern border with at least twice as many troops as the 20,000 number originally reported. The defense “exercise” included tanks and tactical aircraft and appeared to show signs of a logistical buildup required for a sustained operation. Obama on Thursday announced additional sanctions against Kremlin officials and oligarchs

Here’s a question I’ll bet nobody ever asked Jay Carney at a White House press briefing: Why does Michelle Obama’s mother live at the White House at taxpayer expense? (If someone has asked, please send link for me to stand corrected.) Now that Michelle Obama’s mother has caused a disruption on the latest exotic vacation for the first lady, perhaps it is time for some answers about why Marian Robinson is even on the trip to China. Worse, why is she appearing in official photographs with Chinese officials? Drudge is reporting in big bold lead letters that Marian Robinson is barking

White House press secretary Jay Carney said Friday the administration is deeply concerned the Turkish government attempted to block access to Twitter in the country. Carney said the administration has spoken to Turkey´s government about the issue and has urged it to restore access to the social media service. "We have conveyed our serious concern to the Turkish government, urge Turkish authorities to respect the freedom of the press by permitting the independent and unfettered operation of media of all kinds, and support the people of Turkey in their calls to restore full access to the blocked technologies," Carney said

In 2011, over 8,000 kids were suspended from preschool — preschool! — in America. More than half were black, despite comprising less than half of the student population. Sure, we can entertain a lot of theories why this is the case, but I am going to go with this one: America has a problem with racism. The odds are probably better than even that you will be annoyed by that. Which is fine. I accept that response. And there are a lot of possibilities that could explain how this bit of data is an aberration. As the Associated Press reports, the

FBI, IRS, and Rhode Island law enforcement officials entered the Rhode Island State House on Friday, apparently to collect evidence from the offices of Rhode Island House Speaker Gordon Fox. A spokesperson for the Democrat´s office said to the AP that his staffers weren´t informed why they were asked to leave the premises by state police. Fox´s office and his attorney declined comment on the incident, while the U.S. Attorney´s office would only say that law enforcement officials were carrying out two search warrants at the State House. So with that in mind, the AP adds some context that may or

The White House has reportedly begun testing smartphones from Samsung and LG, perhaps indicating that BlackBerry may soon lose one of its most high-profile customers. Testing is only in the early stages at this point, but the White House internal technology team and communications agency are testing Android devices from the two South Korean phone makers, according to the Wall Street Journal, which cites an unnamed source. The implementation of Samsung or LG phones is still months away, but this is the first indication that the White House is preparing to move away from using BlackBerry. Are you are among the uninitiated lumpenproletariat who believe the decline of the Roman Empire was attributable to a multitude of factors? Do you still naively assume that rampant immorality, political corruption, inability to effectuate regime change without violence and bloodletting, failure to curb runaway inflation, the complete over extension of military resources and the eventual drought of plunder were among the reasons for the fall of Rome? Then you obviously have not read the latest NASA report on how the benighted empire could have avoided collapse if only it had adhered to the tenets of Karl Marx. Apparently, Rome

According to the Miami-Herald, Bush made his remarks in front of business leaders in Florida. “People who come here legally and illegally are the risk takers,” Bush reportedly said. “If you’re living in a rural area of Guatemala and you come, you’re a bigger risk taker than those who stay,” he added. Of course, the first action of those who come to the country illegally is breaking the law. Bush also said he

A feminist studies professor at a California state university is facing criminal charges after a videotaped run-in with a teenage pro-life demonstrator in which she snatched an anti-abortion sign and appeared to get physical with the girl. First lady Michelle Obama told students that freedom of speech should be a universal right during her extravagant, no-press-allowed tour of China — a hypocritical move that will surely draw the ire of critics, according to an expert. “That is troublesome. That goes beyond hypocritical, and I think the American media and the international media has every right to call her and the Obama administration on that — that they permitted that to happen,” said Tom Whalen, a political history professor at Boston University. “It makes you shake your head, albeit sadly.” The first lady stopped at Peking University in Beijing yesterday

When Washington, D.C., councilman and former Mayor Marion Barry this week said that whites need to be “more open-minded” about African-American politicians, claiming “blacks are more open-minded than” whites, he was suggesting that whites can´t do what blacks do -- embrace the other race. But a new study of 212 black college students made available to Secrets found little open-mindedness: Blacks don´t like it when other blacks associate with whites, to the point of refusing help to an African-American experiencing “a run of bad luck” -- just because they have white friends.
