Crucial early votes for Obama
lagging in Ohio stronghold

Washington Examiner, by Brian Hughes

Original Article

CLEVELAND -- The stakes for President Obama could not be higher in this liberal bastion, an economically hard-hit region in the nation's premier battleground where the incumbent needs a massive turnout to prevail on Nov. 6. For Obama, this area is a firewall that could offset likely gains by Republican Mitt Romney throughout other stretches of Ohio -- but fault lines have emerged. Early voting, touted as Obama's secret weapon in the Buckeye State, is down nearly 10 percent in Cuyahoga County, which includes Cleveland, compared to the same time in 2008. Even before Hurricane Sandy ushered in

Comments:
Isn't it odd that this is not what the regime is telling us. s/o For Democrats to base these polls on the 2008 turnout is a huge mistake. 0bama will never achieve what he did last time when he fooled too many people.

Maybe they're not really that into him anymore, and realize his election didn't make much of a difference in their lives as they hoped.

And now we hear from his campaign that he'll travel more about the country in his second term, which means he won't be doing much in the way of governing.

Don't trust exit polls! Remember J f'n Kerry won the exit polls in Ohio! This report may be a dem ploy to get Romney voters to stay at home.

Cleveand will manufacture the votes to put missie barack ahead there. It's the Cleveland way of doing things.
Although Cleveland doesn't get the national attention for corruption the way Chicago does, Cleveland is proportionately just as bad.

"If he does not equal his totals there from 2008, that is a horrible omen for Election Day."

And that's the problem with most of the polls. They're acting like his totals are going to be equal if not better than four years ago, and that just doesn't reflect what is really going on. Aside from the black community, those who voted for him in 08 are disillusioned with him and a good chunk of them will either switch to Mitt or else just stay home on Election Day. Advantage Romney.

It doesn't matter if they are lying in the exit polls. Total dem voters are down and republicans are up. Even if every dem is voting hussein (they are not), he is still down. They will be stuffing overtime and getting judges to keep polls open late so they can find out how much they need to steal.

A Michigan high school canceled a speech by former Sen. Rick Santorum after teachers became outraged over his opposition to gay marriage and threatened to stage protests and a possible work stoppage. Santorum had been invited to deliver a upcoming speech on leadership by the Young Americans for Freedom chapter at Gross Pointe South High School. But the speech was canceled on Monday after the school district’s superintendent heard from angry teachers. “It’s a sad day when liberal educators are allowed to influence young minds – extending free speech rights only to those who share their liberal views,” Santorum said

When Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) asked the FBI to investigate how a recording of a private meeting at his campaign headquarters in Kentucky was secretly made and then released to Mother Jones, the reaction from Washington DC political reporters was curious , to say the least. At a press conference on the matter Tuesday, reporters pressed him on what was said about his presumed opponent in next year´s senate race, actress Ashley Judd. McConnell pointed out that liberal groups in Kentucky had earlier maligned his wife, former Labor Secretary Elaine Chao, and attacked her

In the message he issued along with his budget proposal on Wednesday morning, President Barack Obama said he wants to see 4-year-old children in the United States enrolled in public schools. Obama said America needs to start enrolling 4-year-olds to make sure the children are “better prepared for the demands of the global economy” and to help parents save on "child-care costs." After saying the United States needs to “equip our citizens with the skills and training” to fill jobs in manufacturing, energy and infrastructure, Obama said, “And that has to start at the earliest possible age.”

President Obama´s push to pass stricter gun control laws will cost Democrats in the 2014 midterm elections, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) said Wednesday. "I think the president has shown he is willing to demagogue an issue and that it is ultimately going to backfire," Cruz said in an interview on Laura Ingraham´s radio show. Cruz´s comments come as Congress debates passing a set of gun control measures meant to reduce gun violence and prevent shooting massacres similar to the one at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut.

During Barack Obama´s presidency there have been 32 background checks for gun purchases every minute. Since February of 2009, the first full month of Obama´s presidency, there have been 70,291,049 background checks for gun purchases, according to data released by the FBI. Using February 1, 2009 as our starting date, and March 31, 2013 as our end date, (the latest data from the FBI) Obama has been president for 1,520 days. That equates to 36,480 hours, or 2,188,800 minutes. Divide the 70,291,049 background checks by 2,188,800 minutes and you get approximately 32 checks for gun purchases every minute!

As he rolls out his fiscal 2014 budget on Wednesday, a new survey finds that Americans haven’t felt this confident about President Obama’s handling of the economy since his first year in office. The Gallup poll, which sampled more than 1,000 Americans, found that 57 percent say they have a “great deal or a fair amount of confidence” in Mr. Obama to do the right thing on the economy. That’s up from just 50 percent last year and hasn’t been this high since it hit 71 percent in 2008. Trust in congressional Republicans, on the other hand, remains low.

The media is all abuzz with Kim Kardashian’s pregnancy these days: she fat? Should she really be wearing leather pants while pregnant? What is that cape-like thing she wore the other week? Is she lying about her delivery date? Is she lying about her pregnancy? Why did she wear that dress that made people compare her to an orca whale? All of these are very valid questions, but bring to light another issue: Isn’t there some one else who’s also pregnant right now? Some one who is substantially more important than Kim Kardashian?

Touré’s flagship publication, The Fire This Time, lavished praise on famous anti-Semites, black supremacists, and conspiracy theorists whom Touré helped bring to campus. Before he became an intense-but-sardonic TV personality, Touré also decried “the suffocating white community” and defended a nationally famous fake hate crime. In an interview with The Daily Caller, Touré described the newspaper as “an important black voice on campus” and “a form of community building.”

Beginning a week of high pressure on gun control, the White House on Monday accused some Republican senators of cowardice for planning to filibuster gun legislation without allowing the full Senate to vote on President Obama’s initiatives. “If they oppose this legislation, have the courage to say so on the floor and vote no,” said White House press secretary Jay Carney. “Don’t block it. Don’t hide behind a procedural action to prevent a vote. That’s the wrong thing to do, and that’s how the president clearly feels.”

The sequester may have many across the country singing the blues, but for President Obama, it was all about Memphis Soul. There was growing buzz over the weekend that a bipartisan agreement on gun control — a deal that would expand background checks — could hit the floor as early as this week. However, any deal could be derailed by the looming threat of a Republican filibuster involving Texas Sen. Ted Cruz. With Cruz standing proudly in the way of any gun legislation, Democrats are trying to make him pay a political price — and even a couple of high-profile Republicans are questioning his tactics.

More than six months since Ambassador Christopher Stevens was assassinated by terrorists in Benghazi, the Obama administration is still trying to keep a lid on information about the attack. And why did the administration lie about who was responsible? Margaret Thatcher had more impact on the world than any woman ruler since Catherine the Great of Russia. Not only did she turn around—decisively—the British economy in the 1980s, she also saw her methods copied in more than 50 countries. "Thatcherism" was the most popular and successful way of running a country in the last quarter of the 20th century and into the 21st. Her origins were humble. Born Oct. 13, 1925, she was the daughter of a grocer in the Lincolnshire town of Grantham. Alfred Roberts was no ordinary shopkeeper.
