| The freedom to marry is a fundamental right that should not have to be won or defended at the ballot box. In fact, ballot initiatives are a bad way to write or rewrite laws of any kind. Unfortunately, that is the reality of American politics, which is why same-sex marriage measures on the Nov. 6 ballot in Maine, Washington, Maryland and Minnesota could turn out to be pivotal in the struggle for marriage equality. Thanks to court rulings and legislative victories, same-sex marriage is now legal in six states and the District of Columbia, and polls show that a majority of Americans support the legalization of

Regarding marriage, gays already have equal rights. For instance, as it is for a straight male, a gay man can marry a woman. A straight woman may not marry a woman. We have already redefined "secure", "privacy", "treason", "war", "make no law" etc. We are about three more words away from anarchy.

Does anyone remember what God did to Sodom and Gomorrah for adopting the homosexual agenda as America is doing now? Could the extreme weather we are now experiencing be related to this nation's officially expanding the homosexual agenda to the military services and by reversing the nation's former adherence to the sanctity of marriage? And specifically, could the destruction of the Jersey Shore be related to the promotion of sin to our youth in the popular TV show "Jersey Shore?"

Once same sex marriage is approved by law we will be asked to approve polygamy. There will not be any logical argument against it.
Actually, gays can get 'married' now. Get a lawyer to draw up the proper papers (power of attorney, co-ownership of assets, etc.) then find a 'progressive' cleric to do a religious service of your choice. There are plenty of lefty clergymen out there who will do it.
Gays want what they can't have....approval and celebration by society. They will never have that so they continue to push. If they ever get the same sex marriage they won't be satisfied and will try to find something else to lobby about.

Really? How else are state residents going to get laws added or changed if they have a state house and/or Governor blocking them legislatively?
Ballot initiatives are a way to thwart politicians who feel they know what's best for the little people.

Pro golfers, golf writers, and TV commentators are up in arms that Tiger Woods was only given a 2-stroke penalty for his illegal drop on the 15th hole yesterday. Tiger said last night that he dropped his ball two yards behind his previous spot, clearly violating the rule that you must drop "as nearly as possible" to your original spot. LOS ANGELES — Jonathan Winters, the cherub-faced comedian whose breakneck improvisations and misfit characters inspired the likes of Robin Williams and Jim Carrey, has died. He was 87. The Ohio native died Thursday evening at his Montecito, Calif., home of natural causes, said Joe Petro III, a longtime family friend. Petro said Winters died of natural causes and was surrounded by family and friends.
