As in other states, Obama is trailing his 2008 totals by a good 7 points. On a national scale that would put him at 46-47% when all is said and done.

#1 Most of Oregon is a Red Sea. East of the Cascades is Ranch and Farm Country, Cowboys.
Indians. Sometimes both, Like my Pop. The
problem is Portlandia, Salem and Eugene.
Blue Islands in that red sea..They are what everyone thinks of when you think Oregon.

It almost leads one to believe that if someone promises to give a woman free birth control she will do anything for that person. Are they that shallow?

#3 is right. Eugene, Salem, and Portland are blue as can be. The rest of the state is most definitely red (except for Ashland which I call "Berkley North"). The problem is, those three cities have the majority of people living there and they foist their nonsense on the rest of us. All I see are Romney/Ryan signs here in Southern Oregon.

As a resident, I can add that Salem is not as blue as Portland and Eugene. It would be better to add Corvalis, OSU's home, to the blue mix.

Please don't count Eastern and Southern Oregon residents as Morons. We are just the poor relation of the Morons in Willamette Valley (well-Portland and Eugene) and we would far rather be called West Idaho.

The parents of Oregon, after seeing their kids turn into little monsters from using wackey-weed, know darn well that legalizing it would only make teen pot use much worse.

But the advocates are certain that inhaling the toxic products of combustion from burning "weed" marijuana is an effective medicine to cure emphasema and lung cancer-- and all the other illnesses they can think of.
