Maybe it was just a fluke but I got a call from Rasmussen last night. When asked if I was voting for flapears, I said no and was cut off immediately. Very odd and I have been polled by quite a few entities.

I got survey from Gallop. Have struggled thru their email surveys for 6 years or more. Most are dull. But I always add a comment to the effect that Obama is ruining our country and I want to see an in-depth survey on what we think of him. Last week got a survey about the third debate. Was very short.

On the final day of campaigning before the election, President Obama ended his day at an evening rally in Des Moines, Iowa. Earlier on Monday, he spent the day touring the battleground states of Wisconsin and Ohio. Des Moines is where his 2008 campaign for president began. The President will spend election day in Chicago. At the final event at the Des Moines East Village, the President was joined by First Lady Michelle Obama and Bruce Springsteen.

Very early on, before this campaign started in earnest, live or die, I publicly cast my lot with Gallup and Rasmussen. As a poll addict going back to 2000, these are the outlets that have always played it straight. It's got nothing to do with politics and everything to do with credibility and not wanting to kid myself. So when an outlet like Gallup tells me Romney is up seven-points, 52-45%, among those who have already voted, that's very big news. Recent research indicates that the number of people who do not consider themselves a part of an organized religion is steadily on the rise.
