| Princeton, NJ - Fifteen percent of registered voters nationwide have already cast their ballots in this year's election, according to Gallup Daily tracking for the week ending Oct. 28. That is up sharply from 5% a week earlier. The overall percentage either having already voted or planning to vote before Election Day has also increased -- to 33%, from roughly 25% in each of the prior three weeks. (Snip) Thus far, early voters do not seem to be swaying the election toward either candidate. Romney currently leads Obama 52% to 45% among voters who say they have already cast their ballots.

Thus: early voting is not being beneficial to either candidate. Instead it is reflecting the overall average lead that Romney already carries according to Gallup's polling.

Like Breitbart's folks did, read all the way through to find the carefully hidden nugget about Romney's early vote margin reflecting the overall margin in the 7-day rolling average.
Clearly, DOJ harassment has caused Gallup to be circumspect in their headlines, but truthful if you care to read what they put out.

Agree with #3 and #4. It promotes fraud and even things that are not fraud like just rounding up incompetents and taking them to vote. It makes elections more about which side has a better Karl Rove (I'll use him since the libs hate him so much).
Also to the people who decry too much money in politics, the get out the vote machines require a lot of cash. It just debases the election IMO. Everybody, with few exceptions (like out of town students and military, etc) votes on the same day.

Obama should announce that 100% of registered voters have already cast ballots. And he won.
The vote was 88% Obama, 4% Romney. 8% of the ballots were unreadable.
88% of US media would back him up.

We at Townhall have been covering this hotly contested Senate race for months and the results are finally in: With 36 percent of precincts reporting, Elizabeth Warren has been declared the next junior Senator from Massachusetts. Warren has never held public office before and the eye-popping $40 million she raised this election cycle evidently proved more than enough to unseat incumbent Senator Scott Brown. This was the most expensive Senate race of 2012 -- by a long shot.
