| I had a terrible time getting to my office this morning. I heard on the radio that the reason was a fatal accident on Highway 494, one of the Twin Cities’ major arteries. It turned out that the accident was caused by an unlicensed motorist who ran out of gas on the highway, causing a pile-up. The Minneapolis Star-Tribune reported:The sequence of events began when a minivan driven by Isidoro Corona, 49, of Minneapolis, ran out of gas in the right lane and came to a stop causing three other vehicles in that lane to crash, the patrol said.

Bammy is so pre-occupied with the storm, that he forgot to send the free gas card. How long will we let this pass? How long?

These serious accidents caused by unlicensed illegal aliens happen all over the country, very frequently, with a lot of innocent people being killed and injured. Unless the immigration laws are effectively enforced in the future by a new administration, things are just going to get worse, because Obama is not going to enforce the immigration laws against millions of illegal aliens, who the liberal Democrats believe are potential future liberal Democrat voters.

I think one way to solve this is to prosecute the official/s that determined not to deport people who are here illegally and have caused the death of some one or been arrested for another crime.

Like gun control, food stamps, free cell phones and abortion there must be something in the constitution about free gas for illegals. Lawyers will find it. It's worth a lot of votes.

Read the article.
"Arrested seven times with no record of serving jail time"
And here in GA two years ago it became national news because an illigal was arrested for driving without a licence. Why was it news? Because she was a 20 yr old, good looking, college student.
Draw your own conclusions of what the public saw when the lawyers trotted the innocent babe in front of the TV cameras.

Unlicensed, probably uninsured and possibly and illegal alien. When one runs out of gas there is still time to get off on the shoulder of the road. Lock 'em up and send them back.

W-a-a-a-y-y too much can be said on the topics raised for a post, so I'll only touch on three points.
1. From my reading, the inferrable number killed in the US each year by llegal aliens [by murderers, perverts, the criminally violent, drunk drivers, and such] is about 5,000. 5,000 dead every year. So just since 2001, roughly 60,000 killed in the US by illegal aliens. 60,000 dead mostly because politicians can't be bothered to do what's necessary. And there's no mystery about how to get the illegals out.
2. Killed by leftists? Start with 55 million aborted in the US alone since Rowe v. Wade. The Left butchers in the tens of millions. No pikers, they.
3. Agree with #3. Phony "sanctuary" cities' officials [and the officials in the Federal gov't] responsible have to be voted out and pay a personal price for the carnage of their nose-in-the-air diversity-worshipping smug superiority. They feel superior. We lose family members and friends. That's not a balance.

I have been excoriated on this site for calling people who act like Isidoro Corona criminal alien invaders because it is not a felony to enter this country at "other than a official port-of-entry."
It is only a code infraction to trespass into this country, the seven times this man has had contact with law enforcement were only traffic violations, not a big deal, he "deserves leniency," he "made a mistake," he "will try harder."
Well, I remember a time, in my youth, when drunk driving was considered only a traffic violation, not a big deal. Then Mothers Against Drunk Drivers organized, and you no longer hear a defense attorney begging for leniency because the driver had "diminished capacity" as he was "too drunk" to prevent the accident.
Perhaps, one day (soon?) the relatives of victims like Nadir Ombabi, killed by the wanton disregard of US laws by criminal alien invaders, will organize and cause change in the public perception of these "code violators" and people who only commit "traffic violations" will be dealt with in the manner they deserve.
The laws are on the books, enforce them--as written--or change them...but bear in mind that voting citizens are watching what you do.
Some people don't want to enforce the death penalty, they say life in prison without parole is adequate punishment. There is no recidivism after the death penalty, but many "lifers" have escaped prison and killed again.
Some people don't want to enforce immigration laws, because it places a "hardship" on those who chose to violate our laws. If Isidoro Corona had been deported the first--and every other--time he was arrested for traffic violations, he would not have been able to run out of gas on that stretch of road to cause the accident.

Driving along a local interstate road in the center lane, I saw the car in front of me take a right angle turn and cut across the right lane, striking another car in the front bumper before ending up on a grassy shoulder. The driver, obviously Hispanic, jumped out laughing.
In a local strip center, I saw a car parked in front of a local Mexican tienda with the front bumper held on with duct tape!
Actions have consequences, as does the failure of government to act. When does enough become enough?

Roger Ebert loved movies. Except for those he hated. For a film with a daring director, a talented cast, a captivating plot or, ideally, all three, there could be no better advocate than Roger Ebert, who passionately celebrated and promoted excellence in film while deflating the awful, the derivative, or the merely mediocre with an observant eye, a sharp wit and a depth of knowledge that delighted his millions of readers and viewers. “No good film is too long,” he once wrote, a sentiment he felt strongly enough about to have engraved on pens. “No bad movie is short enough.”

Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) is sharing his regrets about his "fiscal-cliff" strategy, less than a month after the House bitterly swallowed a last-minute deal hatched in the Senate. In a private speech to the Ripon Society on Tuesday, Boehner said that he should have taken a different course after the November election by immediately demanding that the Senate produce a bill to avert the worst parts of a combination of tax increases and spending cuts that were due to hit on Jan. 1. Instead, Boehner delivered a formal speech at the Capitol on the day after President Obama won a second term,

Beyoncé did not sing the national anthem live at President Obama’s inauguration. Millions of viewers around the world were stunned by the singer’s spectacular rendition of the anthem but The Times has learnt that she was lip-syncing to a pre-recorded backing track. A spokeswoman for the Marine Corp Band said it was standard procedure to record a backing track and Beyoncé decided shortly before her performance to rely on the studio version rather than risk singing it live on the Capitol.

On Jan. 8, 1968,Otis Redding´s "(Sittin´ on) the Dock of the Bay" was released on Stax´s Volt label. Co-written by Redding and guitarist Steve Cropper, the single reached No. 1 on Billboard´s pop chart in March 1968, where it remained for four weeks. Two Grammys followed, along with the song´s induction into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 1998. Redding never heard the single. On Dec. 10, 1967—just 18 days after the recording session—the 26-year-old singer died in a plane crash in Wisconsin, killing everyone on board except Ben Cauley, the trumpeter in his band.

In October we showed you this video, of a Norwegian kicker named Havard Rugland and his amazing kicking skills. The compilation exploded across the Internet and currently has nearly one million views. Even some NFL scouts took notice. And, to say the least, they were impressed. So the scouts asked kicking coach and former NFLer Michael Husted to work with Rugland in San Diego. After some training Rugland, who has never played American football, recently had a tryout with the New York Jets. "It went well," Rugland told Norwegian state broadcaster NRK. "They tested me on field goals and kickoffs. Source name corrected by staff.

t is known as the City of Love, where couples flock to capture the magic of their romance. But a set of gritty photographs almost 100-years-old captures a side of Paris that most people will never know existed. The 1914 pictures, taken from a collection at the Albert Kahn Museum in Paris, paint a vivid picture of everyday life in the French capital. The Moulin Rouge, now one of the city´s favourite tourist destinations, is captured in its original form only a year before it was burnt down in 1915. The picture shows the cabaret club´s famous red windmill

Tens of thousands of New Jersey residents are without power. Many have lost homes and everything else that they have. Some don’t have enough to eat and others are struggling to stay warm. This is not the time for a responsible leader to go do his self-promoting shtick on Saturday Night Live. But Christie seems so tone deaf that he puts his self-promotion ahead of anything else. Yes Giuliani went on Saturday Night Live a few weeks after September 11, but that wasn’t a series of gags, it was a serious tribute to those who died in the attacks. It had very little in common with Christie showing off the

What book is on your night stand now? “Kearny’s March,” by Winston Groom. The author of “Forrest Gump” has become a wonderful military historian and tells us how, as a result of the Mexican War, we acquired not just Texas but New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, Utah, Nevada and — every silver lining has its cloud — California. When and where do you like to read? Every evening by my living room fireplace in a splendid Eames chair, giving thanks to my bad back for excusing this extravagant purchase. What was the last truly great book you read?

Found on Twitter’s #Gaza hashtag, the photo below of “Isareli soldiers helping Palestinian kids escape the rockets from Gaza.” Found on the IDF Twitter feed, the video below depicts life in southern Israel under fire of the rockets that have rained down from Gaza: “Over the past 12 years, the residents of southern Israel have suffered over 12,000 rockets fired at them from the Gaza Strip. I can see only one good outcome from yesterday’s election: the fact that Barack Obama will be the president who inherits the mess left by Barack Obama. The economy is in awful shape; it won’t get much better given Obama’s policies, and may get worse. Many billions of dollars in capital that have been sitting on the sidelines, awaiting the outcome of this year’s election, will now give up on the United States and go elsewhere. Plants will be built in Korea and Brazil that would have been built here if the election had gone differently.

Though President Obama himself had not been expected to attend, there had been speculation that he would be represented either by Vice President Joe Biden or wife Michelle. Since he first became a presidential candidate, President Obama must have spent millions of dollars in legal expenses to combat dozens of so-called "birther" challenges seeking the original documents pertaining to his birth. As president, he famously issued an electronic document on the White House website in 2011; the document purported to be his long-form birth certificate, though it is apparently a forgery. In addition, he has taken great pains to hide the paper trail of passport records, college transcripts, and other data -- all of which a prospective employer might require of a job applicant.

In light of the explosions that have rocked Boston on Patriots’ Day, during the city’s annual marathon, NBC reporter Luke Russert took to Twitter to speculate that today’s horrific events could possibly be related to the 1993 government siege on the Branch Davidian compound in Waco, Texas — an incident often attached to conversations about “right-wing terrorism” and anti-government violence. “I was at Fenway Park w my dad and @mikebarnicle during Waco which was on Patriots Day in 1993. Speculating on possible link,” Russert tweeted following the explosions.

Is media bias to blame for lack of Gosnell coverage? Or something far more banal? The trial of Philadelphia doctor Kermit Gosnell would seem to have all the elements of a spectacular news story: shocking allegations, horrifying visuals, sympathetic victims. Yet until late last week, much of the national media was silent as testimony about Gosnell’s alleged “house of horrors” abortion clinic rolled out. Much of the media attention outside Philadelphia, in fact, centered on how little media attention the story was receiving outside Philadelphia.

President Obama and I were college classmate at Columbia University, class of ’83. I know all too well how mindlessly liberal the students and faculty of that institution can be, and Barack Obama is certainly no exception. My time at Columbia made it crystal clear: liberals always believe they are morally superior. [Snip] It is in this cesspool of intolerance that Obama and his Marxist cronies hatched a secret plan to destroy our country. There are two things you need to know about Obama at Columbia University. First, he was Pre Law and a Political Science major- just like me.
