| U.S. Sen. Scott Brown is pulling out of the fourth and final debate of the Senate campaign. A Brown spokesman said the Republican incumbent decided not to participate in the campaign "out of concern for the hardship faced by people in the path of Hurricane Sandy." The campaign said Brown felt it was not appropriate to go forward with a political debate when a disaster strikes. Just last week, Brown pledged to attend the debate and even offered Democrat Elizabeth Warren a ride to the debate in his truck.

I don't know about this move...on one hand, I'd say it's probably the right thing to do. On the other hand...I still remember McCain suspending his campaign to "deal" with the potential financial meltdown. Then again, as a former (thankfully) resident of Taxachusetts, I wouldn't be surprised at all if the leftwing dolts left up there vote the Fake Indian in as their next Senator. The state's a cesspool full of moonbats. The only sane people left up there are the ones who can't sell their house and bail out without taking a major hit in the wallet.

WASHINGTON — Attorney General Eric Holder, the nation´s chief law enforcement officer, returned to the courthouse where he once served as a judge, this time in the role of prospective juror performing his civic duty. The Justice Department said Holder wasn´t chosen and that he won´t be called back. Had he been selected for the jury Tuesday, the attorney general would have been on a panel hearing an armed robbery case. Holder sat in the last row of Judge Stuart Nash´s courtroom along with other prospective jurors as the judge gave details of the case.

MSNBC´s programming became almost entirely full of commentary and opinion in 2012, while "factual reporting" saw almost no airtime, according to a new report from the Pew Research Center. The report, which is part of Pew´s annual comprehensive State of the News Media, found that opinion and commentary fill 85 percent of the airtime on MSNBC. The U.S. has been denied direct access to the only publicly known suspect in custody in connection with the Benghazi terror attack, Fox News has learned, with U.S. interrogators still unable to sit in the same room as the Egypt-held prisoner to ask questions. Abu Ahmed, also known as Mohammed Jamal, is suspected of establishing Islamist training camps in Eastern Libya where militants who took part in the Sept. 11 Benghazi terrorist attack were able to train. Ahmed is not suspected of directly taking part in the attack which left four Americans, including Ambassador Chris Stevens, dead.

An Ohio woman filed a $25,000 lawsuit against her employer, alleging she was fired for voting for President Obama. Patricia Kunkle of Kettering, Ohio, claimed that Dayton-based Q-Mark, Inc., threatened to fire employees of the defense contractor if Obama won re-election, with the president’s supporters to be the first to receive pink slips, the Dayton Daily News reported. Kunkle said she had a conversation the day after Election Day that indicated she voted for Obama. She was fired three days later.

A meeting between the new U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry and his Russian counterpart will take place next week in German capital Berlin. Kerry and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov have agreed to meet in Berlin on February 26, US State Department Spokesperson Victoria Nuland said in a statement on Thursday. "Secretary Kerry and Foreign Minister Lavrov will discuss a wide range of bilateral and international issues," she added. The statement did not specify the agenda of talks. Recent research indicates that the number of people who do not consider themselves a part of an organized religion is steadily on the rise. Interestingly enough, though the number of those religiously unaffiliated is increasing, there is little to no trend in the number of those who express atheist or agnostic beliefs. People aren’t saying they don’t believe in God. They’re saying they don’t believe in religion. They are not rejecting Christ. They are rejecting the church.
