Who is to say that he has not received a letter from his Bishop? Those letters are confidential, and there is no way he is going to admit that he is not in good standing with the Church. Pelosi is in the same boat. Direct questions need to be asked; otherwise, the truth will never come out.

I agree with many here. If he is "practicing" anything, it should be Confession.

Joe, when you go to confession (now called the rite of reconciliation),the demands on a confessee are sill the same:
1. You knew that what you are doing or did was or is a sin-venial or a mortal sin (misdemenor or felony).
2.Though you knew it was a sin, and thought about it consequenses,
3.You commit the sin never-the-less.
3. After committing the sin you have no remorse or sorrow or made any attempt to make restitution for it.
4. You continue to commit the sin with full knowledge of what you are doing.

Joe go and read your Catechism again.

Joe is a CINO (Catholic in name only).
He adheres to none of the doctrines of "his" church.
He defies the explicit words of His Holiness.
So what is he trusting in, really?

Where are his works of charity and mercy? How much has he given to "his" church? Just how are we supposed to tell that he is Catholic?

My Catholic parish has a whole section about the candidates' positions vs Catholic doctrine on its website. They don't come right out and say, "don't vote for Obama", but the message is right there just the same.
