Obama, after making history,
has walked a high wire
on racial issues

Washington Post, by Peter Wallsten

Original Article

Posted By:Scottyboy, 10/28/2012 10:03:13 PM

Barack Obama stood at the podium, trying to figure out what to say — or at least how to say it. He started speaking, then stopped, then started again, each time searching for the right tone, the right cadence, the right words. The audience was a small group of advisers, including two African American scholars who were counseling him on how to get his message across most effectively with black voters.(snip) “He recognizes that little black children can see their possibilities through his accomplishments.” Massachusetts Gov. Deval L. Patrick, the first black governor of his state

Comments:
Five pages of racial navel gazing and excuses from the WaPo. There is no indication the author has any concept of 0bama's abject failure as a man.

Such blather. Obama has made it impossible for any non-white to be even considered for the Presidency of USA for a long time.

By making blacks more dependent on welfare, by using Eric Holder's DOJ as racist pawns and by catering to the black muslims, Zero has diminished the black community in the eyes of the white voter and, worse, has diminished the black community in the eyes of the intelligent black voter. Zero has increased the division between the races, possibly to the point of being irreparable, or at least, severely damaged for many years. Of course, helpers like lisa Jackson, Van Jones, Jeremiah Wright, Elijah Cummings, Al Sharpton, Farrakhan, Jesse and Jesse Jr et al, add to the repulsion ordinary folks experience at contrived racism.

Obama uses blacks, like ants farm aphids. His real interest is in the overthrow of western civilization. His muslim faith is what motivates him, his vanity and his rage. It isn't our fault that his mother was a skank, or that his real father is unknown. Since he looks the most like Malcolm X, and because the obama jr character doesn't look at all like him, I believe the pipe sucking Obama is merely a stand in for the real father. That's not to say that mom wasn't skrogging with Frank, or Barry wasn't violated by him too.
Now we have all been paying for the low character of his family.

Has the WhiteWash Post ever done anything other than mindlessly shill for the Democrat Party?

OP sums it up with "navel gazing".

The US elected a relatively inexperienced man. We knew little about him. He came into a tough job and IMO made things worse.

If national affairs had improved then his personal characteristics would never have been noticed.

But they didn't improve and a lot of people began to see his background never justified his election. And in office his performance did not justify reelection.

Despite that the embedded strength of the Democrat coalitions may still prevail. He hasn't lost yet even if the voting proves to be honest.

America shot itself in both feet in 2008, I concede that the McCain alternative was a dismal prospect.

The infection remains. Recovery is a hope but at best we will be on crutches for a few years.

If obama had led as The President, instead of The First Black President, discussion of race wouldn't have been an option instead of it being his only option. Just like with his muslim sympathies, he was more interested in throwing the race card than throwing the card of justice. Holder and his DOJ have set DOJ back 100 years in loss of public trust and respect. America WAS ready for its first black president, JUST NOT THIS black president.

President Obama urged Americans not to read “some blog” or rely on Republicans to describe Obamacare, because they are telling “tall tales” about the law’s provisions. “Don’t just read a blog or some commentary from some pundit that has a political agenda, make sure you know what the actual facts are,” Obama said today, moments after saying that Republicans are “still telling tall tales about [Obamacare´s] impact.” For instance, Obama issued this fact check. “Whenever insurance premiums go up, you’re being told its because of Obamacare, even though there’s no evidence that its the case,”

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., is calling on the Obama administration to conduct a government-wide probe in the wake of an admission by the Internal Revenue Service that it targeted conservative groups. The IRS apologized on Friday for inappropriately flagging conservative political groups for additional reviews during the 2012 election to see if they were violating their tax-exempt status. Lois Lerner, who heads the IRS unit that oversees tax-exempt groups, said organizations that included the words "tea party" or "patriot" in their applications for tax-exempt status were singled out for additional reviews.

One of the government´s fiercest climate change sceptics has been appointed to advise the prime minister on key foreign policy issues, in a move that has angered green campaigners. Peter Lilley, a former minister under Margaret Thatcher and John Major, was one of only four MPs to vote against the Climate Change Act, and has been a frequent contributor to climate-sceptic forums, as well as being vice-chairman of oil company Tethys Petroleum. He will work on the new No 10 Downing Street foreign policy board, headed by Jo Johnson.

It seems like only yesterday that President Obama was mocking those who fear the immense power of the Leviathan State has been turned to tyrannical ends. Actually, it was five days ago, when he told Ohio State graduates: “Unfortunately, you’ve grown up hearing voices that incessantly warn of government as nothing more than some separate, sinister entity that’s at the root of all our problems. Some of these same voices also do their best to gum up the works. They’ll warn that tyranny always lurking just around the corner. You should reject these voices.

Calls for Israel’s destruction were heard in Cairo at the first anti-Israel rally organized by the Muslim Brotherhood since the movement’s candidate was elected president. Several hundred participated in the demonstration Friday, chanting “the people want destruction of Israel,” the Associated Press reported. The rally was to protest Israeli airstrikes in Syria and the detention of a Muslim cleric. The rally near Al-Azhar mosque -- the centuries-old seat of Sunni Muslim learning -- is the first such protest by the Brotherhood since it came to power after the 2011 uprising that ousted president Hosni Mubarak.

As a presidential speech writer for the first Bush White House, I am always very interested in what presidents say in their formal speeches. They know, of course, that their remarks will be widely covered by the press, studied by analysts, and influential in contemporary political debates. For that reason, presidents rarely speak off-the-cuff, and their every word is carefully chosen for exactly the message the White House wants to convey to the public. Their graduation speeches, like all presidential addresses, go through many drafts and are reviewed by high-level administration officials

Northwestern University continued to stumble over diversity issues this week as Mexican students voiced disagreement with a campuswide letter that advised students not to celebrate Cinco de Mayo by engaging in racially-offensive activities, such as eating tacos and drinking tequila. The letter was sent to students via e-mail, and published in The Daily Northwestern last week. Leaders of Alianza, a Latino student group, and the Associated Student Government called on students to remember that Cinco de Mayo commemorates Mexico’s victory over France in the Battle of Puebla. It is not a day to throw a sombrero-themed party, they said.

She weathered Whitewater. She made it past Monica ?Lewinsky. Now Hillary Clinton is hoping to beat the rap on Benghazi and make it to the White House. The Clinton political machine is in full campaign mode already, preparing for 2016 and hoping voters forget by then that she had a key role in the Obama administration’s handling of the terror attack. But that’s becoming more difficult as the GOP appears to be laying the groundwork for tying Clinton to Benghazi and making sure it stays front and center in the next campaign. Some of the testimony from State Department whistleblowers

Fans of Glenn Beck are complaining about what I wrote yesterday about his speech at the National Rifle Association convention, where he used a giant image of Michael Bloomberg photoshopped into what appeared to be an image of Hitler with his arm raised in a Nazi salute and wearing an armband. The Beck crowd now tells me that it wasn’t Hitler’s picture into which the New York mayor was transposed but that of Communist leader Vladimir Lenin. They say that means I owe Beck an apology along with the Anti-Defamation League and others who were also outraged by it.

John McCain is going to release a bill that would dismantle cable as it´s currently constructed, Brenden Sasso at The Hill reports. The legislation would force cable companies and satellite TV providers to give consumers an option to pick and choose which channels they get. This is called "à la carte programming," and it´s long been a dream of consumers who only want a handful of channels. McCain tried to introduce similar legislation in 2006 and it went nowhere.
