| A new poll Sunday of likely Minnesota voters indicates a close race between President Barack Obama and Republican nominee Mitt Romney in the state long considered a safe bet for Democrats. The Star Tribune survey, taken entirely after the final presidential debate, shows Obama with a three point advantage over Romney among likely Minnesota voters. Forty-seven percent of respondents said they would back the president and 44% said they support Romney. Obama's advantage is within the survey's sampling error. The poll also shows Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson with 2% support

I was born in Minnesota and it was a land of believers back then (79 years ago). Many Catholics and Lutherans lived their faith. Today it is not the same. Many were Dems, myself included, but there was never a faith issue back then. It was abortion that separated me from the Dems and I voted for Reagan. Ever since I have denied the Dems my vote because of moral issues and God's Word to govern my vote, not a smooth-talking political person.
Pray for Minnesota. Maybe the Catholics could "wake up" and realize their faith in God is more important than their political fidelity!
Pray for America! Romney is our only choice! Obama had his chance and he proved he was not up to the job - he only enjoyed/enjoys partying and vacationing, not governing and being a real Commander-in-chief!
Pray for the families of those who lost their lives because of the negligence of Barak Obama and his administration, including Hillary Clinton.

Yeah, well, the after-election "analysis" of polling for this election should be... "entertaining."
I do believe we'll find the polls this year to be w-a-a-y-y off the mark, for many reasons. But I don't see the "polling pros" addressing that -- yet.

A fisherman in Belarus was bitten to death by a beaver, and all he was doing was trying to take its picture, Sky News reports. The man spotted the beaver while fishing with friends at Lake Shestakov, but as he approached to take a photograph, the beaver bit him on the thigh. The animal managed to sever an artery, and his friends couldn´t stop the blood flow. Sky News helpfully reminds us that beavers can, of course, bite through trees. RALEIGH — A new study suggests rising health care costs have taken a particularly large toll in North Carolina, where the number of residents who receive health insurance through their employers has dropped sharply over the past decade. The portion of North Carolinians under age 65 with employer-sponsored insurance declined from 69 percent in 2000 to 56 percent in 2011, according to the report released Thursday by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. SAN FRANCISCO — California lawmakers are considering taking some tax exemptions away from youth groups that do not accept gay, transgender or atheist members — a move intended to pressure the Boy Scouts of America to lift its ban on gay Scouts and troop leaders.
