Vindicating Paul Ryan
WTMJ-AM (Milwaukee, WI), by Charlie Sykes

Original Article

Posted By:Scottyboy, 10/28/2012 12:10:03 PM

Months before she beclowned herself as an Obama surrogate cum debate moderator, CNN's Candy Crowley declared that the selection of Paul Ryan for VP revealed a sort of "death wish" by Republicans. Within the media/liberal bubble, her analysis was widely embraced, with some pundits suggesting that Romney had thrown away both Florida and the senior vote throughout the swing states. "Stunning, terrible!" fumed Michael Tomasky. "Ryan Pick could hurt Romney in Florida," Reuters wishfully headlined. "Did Romney Just Give Away Florida?" hopefully asked

Comments:
The leftoids who mocked the Ryan pick were doing so only to cover their fear that Romney had chosed a solid fiscal conservative who understands the economy and can explain the destrucion wrought by Democrats. They were right to be scared. An informed and engaged electorate is the left's worst nightmare.

Obama/Biden just want to kick the can down the road, Romney/Ryan want to identify the problems and FIX them.

Exactly the same verbiage from 4 years ago. No MSM, the Palin pick dramatically increased the McCain ticket. Just like Ryan. Won't these nitwits ever learn?

Ah, no.

The thing the Palin pick did was raise McCain past Obama in the polls. But it also gave the MSM an opportunity to avoid talking about Obama with any specificity. Add to that the Schmidt infiltration and they had a whole false narrative to run. Palin didn't tank McCain, he tanked himself. Through his campaign hires and his wishy-washy, anti-Republican attitude.

I was worried there might be a Schmidt (or that other person whose name escapes me -- a female hag who contributed to Game Change) in Romney's campaign, but he seems to have a solid staff.

Still praying very hard for our country.

People vote for all sorts of reasons, but Ryan is a grandmother's dream of a grown g'son, and lots of them live in FL. Further, he does that work-out thing and lots of young women would like those arms to enfold them. Oh, and he's smart and decent. It was a great pick.

Ryan will win Wisconsin for Romney. And well beyond the margin of Milwaukee hijinks. I am hoping that the Iowa/Minnesota/Wisconsin populists get a clue and start voting logically.

My congressman, your future VP, is still waiting (well, not really) for boy to 'get back to him' after getting schooled in budget math in that viral 10 minute...session.

Bye, bye boy.

The minute I heard Paul was the pick, I sent Romney more money. Anyone who believed that he was not an inspired pick was just spitting in the wind.

If all goes as it looks like it will Nov 6, does anyone not see how wonderful a future President Ryan will be. I await that day with great anticipation.

The U.S. has been denied direct access to the only publicly known suspect in custody in connection with the Benghazi terror attack, Fox News has learned, with U.S. interrogators still unable to sit in the same room as the Egypt-held prisoner to ask questions. Abu Ahmed, also known as Mohammed Jamal, is suspected of establishing Islamist training camps in Eastern Libya where militants who took part in the Sept. 11 Benghazi terrorist attack were able to train. Ahmed is not suspected of directly taking part in the attack which left four Americans, including Ambassador Chris Stevens, dead.

For the past five months, the Republican message on foreign policy message has been defined by a single word: Benghazi. Ever since the deadly September 11 attack on the U.S. compound in that Libyan city, Republicans have obsessed over the episode. Mitt Romney made Benghazi a favorite talking point in the 2012 campaign home stretch. More recently, Republicans have invoked Benghazi to shoot down one would-be cabinet nominee, Susan Rice, and delay two others, Chuck Hagel and John Brennan. They have dragged a parade of administration officials, including Hillary Clinton

TIMBUKTU, Mali - One of the last things the bearded fighters did before leaving this city was to drive to the market where traders lay their carpets out in the sand. The al-Qaida extremists bypassed the brightly-colored, high-end synthetic floor coverings and stopped their pickup truck in front of a man selling more modest mats woven from desert grass, priced at $1.40 apiece. There they bought two bales of 25 mats each, and asked him to bundle them on top of the car, along with a stack of sticks.

President Obama´s biggest gaffe yesterday when speaking of California Attorney General Kamala Harris was not in flirtatiously complimenting her as "the best-looking attorney general," but in introducing an observation from the system of beauty into a forum that was about the system of power. What´s that, you say? Irin Carmon does a great job in Salon in laying out the bounds of propriety for when it´s appropriate to talk about a woman´s looks as a general matter. No one is more preoccupied these days with Hillary Clinton´s 2016 plans than the Beltway political class—not even the former presidential candidate herself. Put out an all-points bulletin: Millions of Americans have gone missing from the workforce. Every month that those would-be workers are gone raises the odds that they might never come back, dimming the prospects for future economic growth. The vanishing trend is more than a decade old, but it accelerated during the Great Recession. Throughout 2012, economists held out hope that it had stopped. But then came Friday’s jobs report, and hopes were dashed. The Labor Department reported that the U.S. labor force — everyone who has a job or is looking for one — shrank
