Obama says he is 'ultimately'
responsible for Benghazi security

The Hill, by Meghashyam Mali

President Obama on Saturday vowed to hold his administration “accountable” for September’s attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya, saying he took ultimate responsibility for any security lapses. “What my attitude on this is is if we find out there was a big breakdown and somebody didn’t do their job, they’ll be held accountable,” said Obama in an interview with MSNBC’s Mika Brzezinski and Joe Scarborough, according to a report on that network’s website. “Ultimately as Commander-in-Chief I am responsible and I don’t shy away from that responsibility," Obama added.

So then why did you say they will be held accountable if you are 'ultimately' responsible? You always blame someone else.

Let the ultimate impeachment hearings begin.

He is ultimately responsible but he had nothing to do with it.

That's pretty much what he's been saying. Empty words, empty suit, empty chair. The worst president ever and the election isn't a walk for Romney. These are scary times.

Let me be clear, I am ultimately responsible, but somebody else is going to have to fall on the sword. I suggest keeping that Youtube video guy locked up for another year.

My thoughts exactly, Mr President. See you at the polls.

He spent 6 weeks trying to create scenarios that Bush was to blame, that Romney shot before aiming, that Romney's lack of knowledge about Middle East prompted the assault and that an obscure videographer was to bear the brunt of the blame. All lies, all the time. And Obama continues his lies by saying that somebody will be held accountable once the election is over. No one has been fired for incompetence, no one has resigned and no one is willing to talk openly and honestly to Congress and the American people. This freak of a man is a disaster, and it will take much soap & scrubbing to wash away his many stains on the country, our constitution and our culture.

According to The Blaze a source inside the WH has stated that zippy was in the situation room watching his ambassador get killed and did nothing. The same source says that the order not to send in aid had to come directly from zippy and no one else. The lying piece of roach excrement needs to resign yesterday.

"Ultimately"????. No Mr. Obama. You gave the Stand Down orders (3 of them). You were responsible for refusing security in the area to begin with. You are responsible for refusing to help those men during their 7 hour ordeal which you were watching live on video feed. You made the political calculation that you could let them die, and the details of this massive failure would be suppressed by the American media, and your fantasies about Al Queda being "On the run", and you as the mighty warrior, be sustained. (After all, those were your repeated claims during the Democrat's Convention. Your convention.)

YOU Mr. Obama are responsible, then, now, and forever.

Wow, that's the best weaseling I've ever heard. He's a really, really good liar.

All he means, you dummies, is of course he is "ultimately responsible" because he's the Big Cheese. However the person who really blew it is Somebody Else who will be held accountable.

And of course Obama can't be held accountable because he personally didn't blow it. So he says.

Geez. What a cowardly liar.

Ultimately he can care less about the lives that were taken, because they were expendable, and there were only 4 of them.
You know, it's an even number and one of his favorite words when playing golf. Which is the most important thing in his life.
Let's see if he plays a round between now and election day. I bet he flies to Hawaii to survey tsunami damage after last nights events just so he can do some body surfing and play a couple rounds while the hurricane hits New England.

Looks like they have already found 2 scapegoats. General Ham(commander of U.S. Africa Command) and Rear Adm. Charles M. Gaouette(commander of the USS John C. Stennis strike group). Both were commanders in Middle East during the attack, and both let go or suddenly reassigned for "allegations of inappropriate leadership judgment"

Also, there are some people who SHOULD know better but are so liberal, they would vote for a rattle snake before they would vote for a person who talks conservative views. So many people are with Obama in the road to making this a communist country. They want the whole population to be beholding to them so they can tell them what to, when to do it, and how to do it. There is only one time when a USS Navy ship is not under the command of it's Captain. That is only when the ship is going into drydock. Else, even if he is on authorized leave and it is run aground by his Exec, the Captain is still responsible.
Usually that captain will either be reprimanded or/and censured. He is either never given another command and gets a desk job or he is "asked" to leave the service.

Obama as CIC, even if he is off on some deserted island watching turtles hatch, he is responsible for all actions of his subordinate and field commanders. Only congress is there then to reprimand and censure the POTUS or as in the case of Libyia, where lives were lost unnecessarily by either POTUs or his subordinates not giving aid, POTUS should be IMPEACHED.
Pray and vote for Mitt Romney to be Elected.
ABO Novembe 6 2012.

Questions Mika did NOT ask:

"Mr. President, why did you respond to three separate cries for help with the order to Stand Down?"

"Why are you inciting Islamicist rage by 'spiking the football' again with a pre-election movie showing that you killed and unceremoniously dumped Bin Laden's body?"

"Who does Biden think has the biggest balls, you or Ty Woods?"

Oh, Joe didn't ask either.

An apparently knowlegable caller to Rush said that in such an "in extremis" situation, the Africom commander is automatically authorized to respond. If this is the case, it seems logical that the "stand down" order had to come from someone above the Africom command - in other words, the White House.

Imagine being the pilots/operators of those vehicles, knowing you could have wiped out every bearded muslim animal in the area. No wonder Obama has denied the military the vote. I believe Obama thinks being "ultimately responsible" means he's the one that makes sure the guy who screwed up is held "accountable". That's why he began with "finding somebody who didn't do their job" and then saying he doesn't shy away from that responsibility; to hold someone else accountable. To liberals "responsibility" and "being accountable" are two different things when you're the one in charge.

And by the way, what really frosts me is his introduction to the subject, "What my attitude on this is..." Attitude? Attitude?

He'll be getting plenty of attitude on Nov 6 from the Chick Fil-A Underground. (Hat Tip to a fellow Ldotter.)

It doesn't require the powers of a Sherlock Holmes to construct an alternative scenario using only the facts we have.

This was a staged event gone wrong. A mob, incensed over a UTube video, riots outside the consulate where our Ambassador just happens to be, and with no deterrence from unarmed foreign guards, lays siege to the building. Obama, (Trumpets Blare!), defuses the situation by having the poor UTube maker arrested. The Americans are freed and our Muslim "allies" are impressed. Obama's foreign policy credentials are polished and he coasts to re-election.

But, something went wrong? The "protesters" either overplayed their roles, or Obama was set up by the Libyans from the start.

Put all the known facts, questions, and coincidences into this scenario. And recall Sherlock Holmes' deduction from "Silver Blaze", aka, "the dog that didn't bark."

Reply 48 - Posted by: Words have Meaning, 10/28/2012 6:40:43 PM     (No. 8970204)

Here is my opinion, even though you did not ask for it. I think Obama is so mad ( I did not originally say "mad" in my first post). He is mad that the ambassador was murdered and tortured even though he was only supposed to be kidnapped.

He was supposed to be kidnapped so the "Blind Seik" could be released in a swap for the ambassador. This way Obama could be seen as a hero in foreign policy before the election.

I think impeachment or indictment is in order. Since we are so close to the election, indictment is probably the best option.

There is so little time and so many reasons for jail time.

There, I said it. When Obama loses there will probably be race riots from the "Gimme more crowd".

Two New York Times columnists embarrassed themselves over the weekend, betraying anti-gun ignorance in the paper´s Sunday Review.Frank Bruni went hunting for the first time (with the chef of a ritzy Manhattan restaurant), and remarked "what an unfair fight" hunting is, as if he was the first person to think that up. After lamenting "how thoroughly a weapon can be romanticized and fetishized," he pivoted to easy access to guns in "this country of ours." I could forget, when not aiming at a bird, to keep the gun pointed toward the sky or the ground.

WASHINGTON — President Obama may be tilting at windmills, but the wind is at his back. His latest eloquent speech on guns, inspired by the Sandy Hook massacre, came Monday amid doubts about gun control legislation passing Congress. For now, he looks weak up against the National Rifle Association, spending much of the speech simply pleading for opponents not to block votes

The Wall Street Journal has a big frontpage story today on the disability epidemic. It’s a good addendum to my column from last week. The unexpectedly large number of American workers who piled into the Social Security Administration’s disability program during the recession and its aftermath threatens to cost the economy tens of billions a year in lost wages and diminished tax revenues. Signs of the problem surfaced Friday, in a dismal jobs report that showed U.S. labor force participation rates falling last month to the lowest levels since 1979,

Articles in a series on Mashable.com called “What’s Inside” looked for all the world like the hundreds of other articles on the digital media site. But journalistically, they were something very different. The articles, about technology topics in a wide variety of products, including modems and the Hubble Space Telescope, were paid for by Snapdragon, a brand of processor chip made by Qualcomm, and the sponsor of the series. Most were even written by Mashable editorial employees.

The Lessons of Zombie-Mania

By any observable metric, zombies are totally hot right now. Look at movies like "Warm Bodies" and the coming "World War Z," the ratings for AMC´s hit series "The Walking Dead" (12.9 million viewers for its recent season finale) and $2.5 billion in annual sales for zombie videogames. Over the past decade, between a third and a half of all zombie movies ever made have been released. A glance at Google GOOG -1.51%Trends reveals that in the past few years, interest in flesh-eating ghouls has far outstripped popular enthusiasm for vampires, wizards and hobbits.

J. David Kuo, onetime leader of Bush’s

J. David Kuo, an evangelical Christian conservative and former top official of President George W. Bush’s faith-based initiative who drew wide attention when he publicly accused the administration of failing to live up to the values it espoused, died April 5 in Charlotte. He was 44.He was diagnosed a decade ago with brain cancer, his wife, Kimberly, said. The arc of Mr. Kuo’s life and career had taken him from liberal to conservative, from hard-edged Republican activism in the 1990s to disillusionment with the idea that politics could serve as an extension of his faith.

This country is an embarrassment. We can’t do anything right, least of all corruption. Look, when Venezuela’s populist demagogue Hugo Chavez died, word was he’d somehow accumulated an estate worth $2 billion. In the old days when the PRI party ruled Mexico uninterruptedly, every president got a single six-year term — and promptly retired at its close as a billionaire. And that was when a billion was real money.

Like most of you, I yearn for shorter winters, more shirt-sleeve weather, less lashing from frigid winds. As a confirmed New Yorker, I’m not willing to do what millions have done: move to the sunbelt. I want warmer weather here in the Big City. But I’ve grown old waiting for the promised global warming. I was 35 when predictions of a looming ice age were supplanted by warmmongering. Now I’m 68, and there’s still no sign of warmer weather. It’s enough to make one doubt the “settled science” of the government-funded doom-sayers.

Obama said America needs to start enrolling 4-year-olds to make sure the children are “better prepared for the demands of the global economy” and to help parents save on "child-care costs." After saying the United States needs to “equip our citizens with the skills and training” to fill jobs in manufacturing, energy and infrastructure, Obama said, “And that has to start at the earliest possible age.”

Although the first votes on gun -control legislation have yet to be cast, by some measures the National Rifle Association has already won. Obama’s ambitious plans to ban assault weapons and limit magazine capacities are off the table, while the NRA suggested it could support the most likely outcome -- expanded background checks -- as recently as 1999. The NRA claims that the president’s efforts have triggered a fundraising surge and boosted its membership from 4 million to nearly 5 million.

Is Anthony Weiner completely delusional? Or is he out of his flipping, sex-crazed gourd? Whatever big-busted fantasies crawl around the ex-congressman’s delirious noggin, la Weiner made his next goal as clear as the skin of the wholesome college students he craved: He relishes being Mayor Weiner. Please, shut up this clown. These days, the genitally obsessed Weiner has nothing much to do, except sit in his lavish Manhattan apartment and — the inhumanity! — change the poopy diapers of his 16-month-old son, Jordan. Worse, Weiner is living under a kind of house arrest, sentenced to take extreme grief

Mark Begich (Alaska) and Mark Pryor (Ark.), both of whom face reelection next year. The 16 Republicans who voted to proceed were

Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Kathleen Sebelius conceded Monday that implementing the Affordable Care Act has been more complicated and frustrating than the Obama administration expected, largely due to Republicans who have opposed the law´s state-based exchanges and Medicaid expansion. "The politics has been relentless and that continues," Sebelius said. "There was some hope that once the Supreme Court ruled in July, and then once an election occurred there would be a sense that, ´This is the law of the land, let´s get on board, let´s make this work.´"
