Andrew McCarthy’s

Do you wonder what the hell happened in Libya? Right after our ambassador and three other Americans were murdered by that “spontaneous” uprising in Benghazi by people who just happened to be armed with RPGs, know the layout of our safe house, and who congregated on — let’s see, oh, right, it was on September 11, what do you know! — right after that, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton expressed surprise: after all, hadn’t we helped “liberate” the Libyans from the monster Gaddafi and made way for . . . for what? Oh, right, for the “Arab Spring”!

As far as ugly, brutal dictators go for redemption,Gadaffi pretty much fit the bill. He gave up WMD's,made restitution to Lockerbie bombing victims and was on the human rights council of the UN (ok,so that's a negative).

I mean I'm not ready to canonize him as a saint but he was minding his own business when a bunch of outsider thugs attacked his country. He had every right to put the intruders down and was succeeding until Obama ordered NATO to bomb the crap out of him.

Egypt was a clean country, welcoming tourists to see the pyramids etc.and actually helped Israel to some degree to secure the Gaza border. These foreign fighters and off shoots of alqeda types got rid of these tow with Obama's help so they figured Syria would be easy pickings. What they didn't realize is Obama is afraid to confront Iranand Russia, backing the Syrian government.

Hillary announced a couple months ago she was going to help arm the Syrian rebels without knowing crap about who they are.

To me,all this is geared towards getting Israel off the map without Iran having to use a nuke and the fallout accidentally killing millions of arabs.

African dictators make Mubarak and Gadaffi look like choir boys, but there's no way Obama would dare take them out. He won't even punch holes in blockades that are keeping starving Africans from getting food donations.Of course the UN backs the black takeover of developed Africa leading to even more starvation and rape on a grand scale.

The culmination of electing an evil doer to the presidency.

Too lazy to pay attention to the details of this man's life we went along with the media mantra and bought into their lies about Obama.

The lives lost, ruined, and debased by his incompetence and outright hatred of this country cannot be excused.

The story of the Betrayal and Abandonment of our soldiers in Benghazi is starting to break through the mainstream media wall of silence.
Benghazi is not only the ugly story of Obama and his lies, it is also the astounding story of incredible heroism.
Dozens of American lives were saved by heroes running toward the sound of gunsnot away.
Why do we deserve to have heroes like these?
And, why do we accept craven leadership above them?

Our foolish government helped "liberate" the Libyan people from a cruel dictatorship, overlooking two considerations: ( 1) The Ghadaffi regime had not represented a threat to us since R. Reagan and then GW Bush scared the pants off of him, the latter in 2003 and afterward; and (2) the assumption that an overthrown dictatorship would be replaced by a responsible, representative form of government and resulting stability was so unbelievable that its proponents should not have been allowed to play outside their front yards unsupervised.

The mistake in judgment might have been averted by having the action approved (or not) by Congress, as intended by the separation of powers implied in our Constitution, which is too much ignored these days.

Someone played, and we are paying.

National Republicans are pulling the plug on Mark Sanford’s suddenly besieged congressional campaign, POLITICO has learned — a potentially fatal blow to the former South Carolina governor’s dramatic comeback bid. Blindsided by news that Sanford’s ex-wife has accused him of trespassing and concluding he has no plausible path to victory, the National Republican Congressional Committee has decided not to spend more money on Sanford’s behalf ahead of the May 7 special election. “Mark Sanford has proven he knows what it takes to win elections. At this time, the NRCC will not be engaged in this special election,”

Mark Sanford has responded to his ex-wife’s allegations that he trespassed on her property, saying he went to her house to watch the Super Bowl with his son. “It’s an unfortunate reality that divorced couples sometimes have disagreements that spill over into family court. I did indeed watch the second half of the Super Bowl at the beach house with our 14-year-old son because as a father I didn’t think he should watch it alone,” the former governor said in a statement today. “Given she was out of town I tried to reach her beforehand to tell her of the situation

Within a day of the Oklahoma City bombing, officials had named their suspect: Timothy McVeigh. Within two days of the 9/11 attacks, investigators had zeroed in on al Qaeda as the perpetrator. But as loved ones mourn the deaths of three people and dozens remain hospitalized from dual bombings at the Boston Marathon, two questions continue to hound authorities: Who triggered the attack, and why? Even for seasoned investigators, the theories run the gamut on whether Monday´s attack was an act of domestic or foreign terrorism. The reluctance of journalists to cover the crimes of abortionist Kermit Gosnell predates his trial. His indictment in January 2011 received minor and evasive coverage, as it inconveniently coincided with the Roe v. Wade anniversary. Pro-abortion journalists didn’t want the grand jury’s horror at seven acts of infanticide and the killing of one woman to spoil their nostalgic ruminations over the glorious emergence of abortion rights. After all, they had promised a post-Roe world of “safe, legal, and rare” abortion. No more ghastly “back-alley” procedures, they said. Gosnell’s indictment exploded their myth of progress, revealing a culture in which abortion

Unabated, unabashed, and increasingly unhinged, the sordid parade continues apace. Last week, Barack Obama flew some of the Newtown families to Washington, D.C., for a rally at which he argued for the putting aside of “politics” that disagree with his own, warned against “political stunts” (presumably with the exception of the one he was performing), and declared a monopoly on “common sense.” This weekend, the president ceded the pulpit of his weekly address to Francine Wheeler, a grieving mother, so that, in the name of “doing something” that might have prevented her son’s death, she could urge the passage

The 2012 national election continues to be a puzzle. Barack Obama won reelection with a solid 51 percent of the vote, and Democrats picked up 2 Senate seats, expanding their majority to 55-45. Yet the House of Representatives remained in Republican control, 234-201, yielding the divided government we have today. Liberal analysts tend to blame the Democrats’ minority status in the House on Republican gerrymandering, which is ironic considering how expertly their own politicians have rigged districts when given the chance. Indeed, the Democrats’ redistricting of Texas in the 1990s remains a wonderment.

As the world bids farewell to Lady Margaret Thatcher today, it’s hard not to notice that America’s official presence at the state funeral for England’s most significant prime minister since Winston Churchill will be underwhelming. Instead of sending a high-ranking member of his own administration to lead the official delegation, President Obama has dispatched two former Republican secretaries of state, George Shultz and Jim Baker. Nothing against these men, but we can forgive the British for regarding Obama’s choice as yet another snub. Suspicions will only be compounded by the ungracious action in the Senate, where Bob Menendez held up passage

A key component of the bombs used yesterday in the attacks on the Boston Marathon resemble the kind of homemade bomb al Qaeda has encouraged English-speaking terrorists to use. The Daily Beast has confirmed with U.S. counter-terrorism officials that the bombs placed Monday at the marathon were made from pressure cookers, a crude kind of explosive favored by insurgents in Pakistan and Afghanistan. A recipe for a bomb that uses the pressure cooker was part of the debut issue of Inspire, the English-language online magazine of al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula.

It´s a measure of how little he values the special relationship — and a sign of his own smallness. Back in more gracious times, vice presidents routinely attended funerals of foreign dignitaries. Authorities on Tuesday revealed little new information about the terrorist attack at the Boston Marathon, the most high-profile bombing on U.S. soil in more than a decade and a tragedy that presents a new test for President Obama. Obama, like all Americans, is standing by, waiting for answers as to who planted two bombs improvised from pressure cookers at the finish line of the storied race, and why. Three Americans were killed in Monday´s attack and more than 170 others were injured. "Anytime bombs are used to target innocent civilians, it is an act of terror," Obama said,

As we now move into the official Political Aftermath period of the Boston bombing — the period that will determine the long-term legislative fallout of the atrocity — the dynamics of privilege will undoubtedly influence the nation’s collective reaction to the attacks. That’s because privilege tends to determine: 1) which groups are — and are not — collectively denigrated or targeted for the unlawful actions of individuals; and 2) how big and politically game-changing the overall reaction ends up being.

"I think we’ve got a good chance of seeing it pass if members of Congress are listening to the American people," President Obama said in an interview on NBC´s "Today Show" that aired on Tuesday. "The notion that Congress would defy the overwhelming instinct of the American people after what we saw happen in Newtown, I think, is unimaginable." Obama was then asked by Savannah Guthrie how he could expect Democrats in red states to vote on this bill when he, as a Senator, didn´t have to himself.
