So correct and concise that it's difficult to comment. I love the way he used his words so wisely, and his vote. I hope his column is well read and gives others self-permission to follow his lead without guilt, but honor.

In Michael Goodwin's 2008 opinion, Obama was the better choice for President. And Michael Goodwin actually gets paid for expressing his opinions. The Goodwins of America are irresponsible, self congratulating, herd-following twits.

I wonder how many people accepted his line of thinking and also voted for the horrid person who has done so much harm to America. "How could you be so stupid" is not the question I have for Goodwin, it's what are you going to do to make amends for the damage you helped Obama do?

...I guess some can vent and strike out at all who voted for 0bama...so many were taken in by the velvet words and utopian images he created...

When the history books are written they will clearly show that a rank amateur and leftist ideologue from Chicago acquired great political power because of the unrelenting bashing and personal attacks against President George W. Bush and Vice President Richard Cheney by America's liberal media and the Democrats. Soon, President Romney and Vice President Ryan will begin to undo the incalculable damage done to this wonderful country at home and abroad.

Well, Goodwin's right on at least one thing. Between Obama and McCain, who was more likely to forge a consensus on big issues? He chose Obama.

Well, the biggest issue of all is the election, and Obama has forged a consensus that he's got to go.

This makes me more hopeful that enough voters are waking up to the truth and will be voting with us.

Truth be told: many of us had to hold our noses while voting for McCain. My vote was cast for Sarah Palin.
I'm thankful that Goodwin has seen the light, for this election, at least.

I agree with everything in this article except the need to demonstrate tolerance of Mitt's religion by making him president: "His election would knock down one more barrier to equality of opportunity." Thinking like this helped give us Obama. I don't vote to give everyone a turn. I vote for the candidate who best represents my ideas and interests. It is not bigotry to withhold my vote for the same reasons. I would need some convincing to vote for a devout Buddhist as Commander in Chief. However, I see nothing in LDS that would preclude me from voting for a Mormon for president and a great deal in Mitt Romney that encourages me to vote for him over Obama.

Let's hope more have the courage to admit their mistakes. For the life of me, I do not know how they could have voted for anyone without a 'past' except for arriving in Chicago to present.......his associations with despots in Chicago.
I do like his description of the obama condition: "Obamitosis, which is a really bad taste in my mouth.”
