'Stand Down': U.S. Had Two Drones,
AC-130 Gunship, and Targets
Painted in Benghazi

Breitbart's Big Peace, by AWR Hawkins

Original Article

Reports indicate two drones and an AC-130 gunship were in the area when Benghazi was attacked, yet their resources were not used. This runs completely against the current explanation coming out of the White House, which is that Obama did everything he could once he learned of the attack. You'll remember that in the second presidential debate, Obama said that as "soon as I was aware the Benghazi consulate was being overrun, I was on the phone with my national security team." The not-so-subtle intimation is that Obama was stepping up to the protect the U.S. personnel who were in Libya.

Comments:
Betraying our soldiers on the ground is something very ugly.
We know they were refused support. We did not know that planes were flying overhead and forbidden to help.
The major mainstream media has gone silent on this as they seek to protect Obama. This makes them complicit. The media have become tools, beneath contempt.
In a way, this does provide an explanation for Obama's 6 weeks of twisted spin and lies.

This breaks my heart.

Only those who've been in that position can grasp the enormity of that betrayal.

There is a special place in Hell for people who do such things.

Keep talking Øtard. We already know you're a mooslim sympathizing, p-whipped coward but to withhold ready aid, at no risk of additional lives, is nothing but treasonous. The reasons are known - they just aren't public yet.

Obama's sickening response to appeals for help in Benghazi and his deceptions after the 4 "bumps" were murdered may be why compliant media are hyping Sandy. With the exception of Fox News, the major networks have been ignoring/minimizing the attack & cover-up for 5 weeks. With the arrival of a large tropical storm, Benghazi can be shoved aside by Brian Williams and Diance Sawyer while print media puts a small mention on page 18.

What the story means to say is that as soon as Øbama was aware the Benghazi consulate was being overrun, he was on the phone with his National Security Team ordering resources in the area to "Stand Down" and not help the people being attacked. This pResident is a sickening slimeball, worthy of any and all contempt from decent thinking Americans.

Absolutely CRIMINAL lack of response by the human garbage that inhabits the POTUS and SecState, and probably SecDef offices.

These brave men were fighting for their lives, and these cowardly political animals decided to let them die rather than use the IN PLACE serious assets to help them. An AC-130 Spectre gunship carries night targetable 40mm automatic cannons, 20 mm Gatling gun and a 155 mm howitzer. All can be accurately fired down in night or other low visibility conditions with high precision. This would have absolutely turned the tide of battle against the terrorist attacker's infantry.

These cowards need to be arrested for murder.

Reply 9 - Posted by: dvc, 10/28/2012 12:41:00 AM     (No. 8968579)

Correction, the Spectre's heavy gun is a 105mm not 155mm. Still, a powerful weapon was held back, prevented from helping our heroes fighting on the ground.

WASHINGTON - The White House on Saturday flatly denied that President Barack Obama withheld requests for help from the besieged American compound in Benghazi, Libya, as it came under on attack by suspected terrorists on September 11th. "Neither the president nor anyone in the White House denied any requests for assistance in Benghazi," National Security Council spokesman Tommy Vietor told Yahoo News by email.

The Benghazi debacle has three parts: how we neglected security while al-Qaeda was building a presence in Libya; whether the administration tried to mislead the public as to the nature of the attack; and now whether the administration denied pleas for help from operatives on the ground at the consulate. Now, presumably at the behest of Gen. David Petraeus — who has been remarkably tight-lipped and not defended his agency against White House accusations that senior officials’ misstatements were the fault of the CIA — the CIA threw the hot potato right back in the politicians’ laps.

Mitt Romney has opened up a clear lead over Barack Obama in their presidential race. That owes a great deal to the candidates’ debate performances, of course. But something else is going on, too. In recent days, Obama’s approval rating has taken a perceptible hit. Via the Weekly Standard, we see that in the Rasmussen survey, only 47% approve of Obama’s job performance, while 52% disapprove. There are two plausible explanations for Obama’s current slide: voters may be disgusted by the mean, petty campaigning he is running, or they may disapprove of his handling of the Benghazi crisis. Or both.

President Obama ran into a buzzsaw yesterday while doing a round-robin of satellite interviews with local news outlets in crucial swing states -- and by "buzzsaw," I mean that rare form of species known as a "real reporter." Kyle Clark of Colorado's KUSA actually asked Obama about the latest revelations out of Libya. According to Fox News, the three requests for help made during the seven-hour attack on our consulate in Benghazi were met with orders from U.S. officials to "stand down." Wisely, Obama dodged this question entirely. I say "wisely" because,

The security officer had a laser on the target that was firing and repeatedly requested back-up support from a Specter gunship, which is commonly used by U.S. Special Operations forces to provide support to Special Operations teams on the ground involved in intense firefights. The fighting at the CIA annex went on for more than four hours — enough time for any planes based in Sigonella Air base, just 480 miles away, to arrive. Fox News has also learned that two separate Tier One Special operations forces were told to wait, among them Delta Force operators.

Washington — Obama administration officials defended their response to the September attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya, amid new claims that the White House failed to send help quickly enough as militants overran the mission. The U.S. ambassador and three other Americans died in the hourslong battle. Fox News reported that security officers working for the CIA in Benghazi heard the attack on the consulate but were twice told to wait before rushing to the compound. Fox also reported that U.S. officials refused when the security team asked for U.S. warplanes

Many Americans have never heard of him, and if they have, he sounds like the least of their worries.

Pro golfers, golf writers, and TV commentators are up in arms that Tiger Woods was only given a 2-stroke penalty for his illegal drop on the 15th hole yesterday. Tiger said last night that he dropped his ball two yards behind his previous spot, clearly violating the rule that you must drop "as nearly as possible" to your original spot. Golf people are not happy about it. They say that the new rule is B.S. (or it´s at least being misinterpreted), and Tiger should DQ himself to save the integrity of the game.

With President Obama, there’s always a catch. In the 2014 budget he announced last week, Obama proposed a more accurate way of calculating the inflation rate for annual cost-of-living increases in Social Security. It’s a technical change in pursuit of honesty and good government. And if adopted, it would cause benefits to grow more slowly, though almost imperceptibly so. Republican leaders in Congress ought to be delighted since they had “championed”—Obama’s word—the idea in the first place. Then came the catch. The president’s price for adopting this gentle reform was hundreds of billions in new tax increases.

Only one of my six children has left New York for economic reasons but the strain of living in this expensive nanny state is weighing heavy on my other five and their families. As a native New Yorker, I´ve seen its middle class population decline over the years due to its neglect of blue collar families which is ironic since this is a Democrat city. With the recent arrests of several local politicians for corruption perhaps New Yorkers will pay more attention to those they put in office. Given their past indifference in local elections this is highly unlikely.
