| Gaza City - A Gaza health official says that a panicking cow has killed a Palestinian man who was trying slaughter the beast during the Muslim celebration of Eid al-Adha. Muslims around the world slaughter sheep, cows and goats during the four-day holiday to commemorate the sacrifice by their forefather Abraham. But accidents are comment as people frequently buy animals to slaughter at home instead of relying on professional butchers. Official Ashraf al-Kidra said on Saturday that another 150 more people were hospitalised in Gaza with knife wounds or other injuries caused by animals attacking butchers or bystanders.

Mohammed borrowed the concept of kosher from the jews, and renamed it halil.
But kosher practice has very specific requirements when butchering cattle, and I don't think a lay person is able to do it.
I believe a rabbi does it.

#5/#17: It was not Moses who was tasked with slitting his son's throat; it was Abraham (see Genesis). It was not Moses who slept with his daughters; it was Lot (Genesis, again). There were very specific reasons for these actions; they were NOT the norm. Please re-read the bible and state your opinion more clearly. Besides, if you want to attack a religion using it's own Bible, you should at least have your facts straight. :-)
#12: Ignorance should be remedied via education and not merely ridiculed. It does no good to tell someone they're ignorant without at least mentioning where their ignorance lies. BTW, if we educate someone in Biblical studies, maybe they'll convert. Isn't that a desirable alternative? ;-)

We at Townhall have been covering this hotly contested Senate race for months and the results are finally in: With 36 percent of precincts reporting, Elizabeth Warren has been declared the next junior Senator from Massachusetts. Warren has never held public office before and the eye-popping $40 million she raised this election cycle evidently proved more than enough to unseat incumbent Senator Scott Brown.
