| Boston – Terri Ivester was on her way to a family christening in Chicago when she ran into a snag at the security checkpoint at Logan Airport. Terri Ivester says, “The TSA agent holds my backpack up, and um, says there’s a water bottle in this backpack, I’m going to have to take that.” That’s when Ivester says the agent left the area with her bag. George Nacara, who is head of the TSA at Logan, tells the I-Team that passengers have the right to stay with their bags. Ivester says she continued through the security checkpoint

Whether or not the TSA agent stole the jewels, there is enough mass concern of the public of them that Romney should fire all them on day one of his Presidency. Then, have a private firm that vets and is responsible for all their employees replace them. Also, require them to be ''militarily fit'' to arrest & detain suspected terrorist. After all. Isn't that WHY they are all currently hired [besides stopping plane hijackings]?

I think this story is bogus. Either this woman is the dumbest lady around, or she thinks she can make some money if she claims that expensive bracelet was stolen. First of all WHO puts a $3700 bracelet in their Bag? I sure wouldn't. I would be wearing it. Secondly, IF she did notice it was stolen, she CERTAINLY would have remembered to make a claim on her return trip. NOBODY loses track of time and waits more than 30 days to claim their $3700 bracelet was stolen. I don't buy it!

I agree about the long time to claim the jewelry theft, #4, but I would not be the least bit surprised they were stolen.
Nearly every day there is a story in one of the local newspapers about a TSA agent being arrested for theft either from carry-on luggage or from checked baggage. One fellow had managed to steal over $900,000 worth of travelers' possessions!

I don't believe the TSA is more inclined to steal. But the nature of their work gives them opportunities with little risk.
If the FBI or the local police routinely inspected your purse or wallet then money would disappear from them.

They stole family valuables I was bringing back after a funeral, when the two girls put the bag I was carrying behind a screen to to through it.
Low level low wage hourly employee. There should be camera monitors on them ........ same as the air line airport employees who regularly steal from passengers.

Niamey, Niger -- Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad visited the uranium-rich West African nation of Niger on Tuesday, although officials discounted that the mineral was the reason for his visit. Niger´s President Mahamadou Issoufou denied international speculation that Iran had come in search of uranium for its enrichment program, which Western powers suspect might aim to produce nuclear weapons. It is George W Bush’s particular achievement to be disliked by both sides in American politics. Democrats of course excoriate the damage done to the budget by waging two wars while cutting taxes, his conduct after Hurricane Katrina and his shoot from the hip style, not to mention that fact that he presided over the worst economic collapse since the Great Depression. His own Republican party utterly rejected him during the 2012 campaign. Tea Party types saw him as a big-spender guilty of extending federal government, while few who once stood with him were prepared to defend his military achievements.

Phoenix -- Authorities are investigating what was reported to be an explosive device addressed to Arizona´s Sheriff Joe Arpaio, the self-proclaimed "toughest sheriff in America" known for his strict treatment of jail inmates and cracking down on illegal immigration. The device intercepted in Flagstaff late Thursday was in a package addressed to Arpaio at his downtown Phoenix office, the Maricopa County Sheriff´s Office said in a statement. It appeared suspicious, so it was X-rayed and the device was detected. A bomb squad team neutralized the explosive, the statement said.

Jeff Flake if the Arizona Republican votes against legislation to expand background checks.
