| An Afghan immigrant who slit his wife’s throat used to regularly get into such loud, abusive arguments with her that neighbours noticed and police showed up, their daughter said. “It was really embarrassing. Sometimes they would just start in front of people,” Tamana Khairi testified at her father’s 2009 preliminary hearing. (Snip) The trial has already heard that Randjida Khairi, 53, defended their six adult or teenaged children’s increasing Westernization, while it angered her husband. Randjida Khairi would periodically threaten to leave him, but would be held back by their Afghan culture, the daughter said.

I've an idea. Evacuate all the females and children 6 and under from Afghanistan leaving only the males behind. The situation there will solve itself in one generation. Require all the evacuees to convert to anything from Islam. Thirty years from now let them go back and resettle the country. Problems solved and probably cheaper than what is going to happen instead.

We at Townhall have been covering this hotly contested Senate race for months and the results are finally in: With 36 percent of precincts reporting, Elizabeth Warren has been declared the next junior Senator from Massachusetts. Warren has never held public office before and the eye-popping $40 million she raised this election cycle evidently proved more than enough to unseat incumbent Senator Scott Brown. The one clear thing that came out of last week´s chaotic activity in Boston, Massachusetts is that real reporters were missing. For that matter, they´ve been missing since last year´s attack in Benghazi. From Benghazi, the Gosnell abortion trial, gun control debates, immigration and then the Boston Marathon bombings, television news reporting has become positively painful to watch. The First Amendment to the Constitution grants freedom of the press but this was supposed to endow it with a responsibility to be the people´s watchdog.
