Election 2012: Wisconsin President
Rasmussen Reports, by Staff

Original Article

Posted By:shalimar, 10/26/2012 11:34:17 AM

President Obama and Mitt Romney are now tied in the critical battleground state of Wisconsin. The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of Likely Wisconsin Voters shows the president and his Republican challenger each earning 49% support. One percent (1%) likes another candidate, and two percent (2%) are undecided.

Comments:
Looking good!!! Compared to 2008, O is down 7 points in WI. My sense is that he has lost about the same amount nationally.

With all the ugliness, vulgarity, lies, irresponsibility shown by this administration and the whole Democrat Party, I still see yard signs supporting the continuation of the last four years!

Why would anyone want to be associated with people who threaten to kill others, lie to protect their jobs rather than represent the people of the US? Why do they wish to see this country become broke. Don't they realize making the rich poorer makes the poor poorer? Are they so blind or just stupid?

Bring it home, Gov Walker.

And a note to all Rep Governors in swing states. CHANGE your narrative.

The reason your States are doing better is because your voters threw out the Democrats in 2010 and elected you to turn things around.

Credit your Voters, validate them. Underscore how your policies are helping them.

Counting up states that as of right now (by Rasmussen's numbers, who haven proven to be closest to reality in the past) which are either tied or favor Romney, Romney is already over 270.

What's more, even *if* you currently give Ohio to Obama, using the same count, Romney is STILL above 270, since Wisconsin, New Hampshire, and Iowa are all either ties or actually favor Romney (NH has Romney up 2!) and they more than compensate for the switch.

Counting chickens before hatching? Heck no, get out and vote and don't let your guard down against fraud. But the picture continues to look very, very hopeful for the first time in four long, dark years.

I think the recent beatings of conservative young folks in WI have turned the undecided away in disgust. As bad as the Madison protests were there were no bloody beatings. A lot of noise and bluster, foul language and crude displays of behavior, but no life threatening violence. This has taken things to a new level.

I remember some students at the U of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, being interviewed on camera, who bragged about voting 6 times at various voting locatons in Milwaukee. I believe Wisconsin allows registration at the polling location, and the interview I saw was either in 2004 or 2008.

Wisconsin's polls have to be skewed against the Republicans.

That's because no matter what previous election-year results the pollsters may be basing this year's numbers on, they couldn't have incorporated the fact that the Republican vice-presidential candidate, Paul Ryan, represents a Wisconsin Congressional district.

The pro-Ryan energy, enthusiasm, and voter turnout of Ryan's base will be much higher than that of average voters.

Sorry, but I have spent a fair amount of my life in that state and the Democrats have the voter corruption thing down to a fine science.
100 people can enter the poll and vote for Romney and the poll will show 90 votes for Obama and 10 votes for Romney, and they will have all the necessary documents to prove their case. They other favored tactic if a poll is to lopsided (not the desired vote) the ballots get misplaced for a couple of months.

Political Corruption in that state is a given, it is very liberally controlled.

Companies Prepare to Pass

Companies are bracing for an influx of participants in their insurance plans due to the health-care overhaul, adding to pressure to shift more of the cost of coverage to employees. Many employers are betting that the Affordable Care Act´s requirement that all Americans have health insurance starting in 2014 will bring more people into their plans who have previously opted out. That, along with other rising expenses, is prompting companies to raise workers´ premium contributions, steer them toward high-deductible plans and charge them more to cover family members.

House Speaker John Boehner’s health insurance premiums will nearly double — and his deductibles will almost triple — as a result of the Affordable Care Act, according to figures provided by his office at POLITICO’s request. Don’t expect to hear the Ohio Republican complain about his personal price spike, but he’s one of many older lawmakers and aides who are just finding out how much more they will have to pay as they move from the old Federal Employees Health Benefits system to coverage in the District of Columbia’s new health insurance exchange ...

A federal judge has refused to dismiss a lawsuit challenging the legality of Obamacare subsidies distributed by the IRS to people enrolling in the new healthcare system. The Department of Justice has argued for months the lawsuit should be dismissed. More from the Wall Street Journal: A federal judge on Tuesday refused to dismiss a lawsuit that seeks to block the Obama administration from offering subsidies to low- and middle-income individuals who buy health insurance though online exchanges run by the federal government. U.S. District Judge Paul Friedman in Washington, in an oral ruling from the bench, rejected several Justice Department arguments

I don’t know whether to laugh or cry. My health insurer, Kaiser Permanente, has finally calculated what our family’s new health insurance rates will be under the grotesquely misnamed Affordable Care Act (a.k.a. Obamacare.) The upshot: my premiums are about to rise by 114.6%. My wife’s rates? Up 109%. Our kids? Don’t ask.[snip] I wish there was some way of regarding this new “bronze” plan as an improvement over what we had before. But that’s really not possible. What’s been said of confession — that it is good for one’s soul but bad for one’s reputation — can also be true of testifying to Congress, so Lois Lerner has chosen to stay silent. Hers, however, is an eloquent silence. The most intrusive and potentially most punitive federal agency has been politicized; the IRS has become an appendage of Barack Obama’s party. Furthermore, congruent with exhortations from some congressional Democrats, it is intensifying its efforts to suffocate groups critical of progressives, by delaying what once was the swift, routine granting of tax-exempt status. So, the IRS, far from repenting

One of the most seismic changes in American politics over the last decade has been the emergence of a sharp generational split among the electorate. The Democratic Party owes its success in the last two presidential elections almost entirely to overwhelming support among the very young, which has overcome continued conservatism among older voters. The Pew Research Institute has dominated the field of exploring the ideological cleavages among different generations. And its latest survey shows again how the liberalism of the youngest voting cohort, millennials, remains firm, and likely to continue to recast the electorate. A few charts from the survey
