Meat Loaf endorses Mitt
Romney at boisterous Ohio rally

Los Angeles Times, by Maeve Reston

Original Article

DEFIANCE, Ohio — Thursday was a night that Mitt Romney will most certainly never forget. There was the huge and buoyant crowd that filled the football stadium here beneath a giant American flag; the foot-stomping concert by Big & Rich and Alabama’s Randy Owens; and a fireworks display. But it was Meat Loaf’s wild and meandering endorsement of the Republican candidate that stole the show. Romney’s raucous rally capped his 310-mile bus tour that began in Cincinnati on Thursday morning. Appearing on stage after John Rich (of Big & Rich) and before Owens, Meat Loaf told the crowd

Not only "snarky" but an article full of nonsense. Though it is once again, a perfect example of "reporting" coming from the LA Slimes and a "writer" person named "maeve reston". BTW, we'll take Meat Loaf, Big & Rich, etc., over the former drug-dealer-thug-Jay Z, and let's not forget the "Pimp with a limp" and other assorted "big names" of "rock & roll", any day of the week and TWICE on Sunday!

FTA: Meat Loaf.......decided to endorse Romney, in part, because he was concerned that President Obama does not share Romney’s view that Russia is the No. 1 geopolitical foe of the U.S. The other night when President Barack Obama, God bless him, said to Mitt Romney, 'The Cold War is over.' I have never heard such a thing in my life.” "

I've never cared for Meat Loaf's music, but he totally gets in about Russia. Russia has always considered the U.S. its 'main adversary", from the days of the Soviet Union until now. Communism has always been a threat to this country, and still is. Russia has ALWAYS supported our enemies, wherever they are. If it weren't for Russia's (and China's) support to rogue nations, we would not have nearly the national security threats that face us now, and 0bama has made these threats exponentially worse. Remember that 0bama said in 2008 that Iran was a "tiny country" and didn't pose a threat to us. As with Iran, 0bama is completely wrong about Russia.

Last time I saw the New York Times write about Meat Loaf, they used their trademark style to refer to him, after first using 'Meat Loaf', as 'Mr. Loaf'. Accurate and hilarious. They didn't do it in their recent story reporting on the endorsement.

I would also add that Russia has more diplomats, and in particular, intelligence officers, around the world, and in this country, than the U.S. Furthermore, our most devastating espionage cases involved Russian intelligence. So 0bama the punk is wrong, and Meat Loaf is right.

Rising like a "Bat out of Hades", Meatloaf brings heartfelt american value yearnings for a real leader in the White House, someone with real talent, rather than a vapid mouthpiece that promises rainbows and unicorns.

I also notice that the MSM channels are beginning to change their tune as the Rommey win becomes apparent. They are abandoning the Messiah and accepting the inevitable win of Romney. They don't want to look like they didn't know what was going to happen. What a bunch of mush these MSM political pundits are.

Would have enjoyed this rally. Sorry I could not have seen Meat Loaf. As far as his concern for the New Soviet State, no longer a union yet, I deal with them weekly and I am terrified of Putin. A man that puts a punk rock band in a Gulag and then gets supported by this President and Putin throws support to our President. Even Obama's campaign video of late is the same as Putin's. I read this article on my yahoo frontpage and didn't notice where it came from. Because while the writer said that Meat Loaf was rambling and incoherent, the remarks puclished by that same writer sounded amazingly cogent. When I voted in 2008, I voted for McCain knowing he wasn't as bad as Obama on the economy and much, much better on national security. I voted with the hope that he would hire good economic advisors. BUt with Romney, I get both- economic sense and a person who is looking at the world without rose colored lenses. From the remarks I have heard from various liberals who are aware of what is going on in the world even if they have a different perspective, this Libya thing is making a difference. Many are figuring out that the administration lied. Now they could accept overexageration or lies about the economic state because they thought, everyone does that and it isn't Obama;s fault. However, there is no good reason to lie about the Libya thing and they are becoming dismayed.

The biggest political problem faced by so-called “liberals” and so-called “progressives” in President Obama’s second term is how to prevent voters from holding them politically responsible as the public comes to realize how badly they were lied to during the first Obama term to win passage of Obamacare. (Snip) Just wait until the broad realization dawns that the harsh reality of Obamacare is that tens of millions will lose their employer provided insurance because of the perverse incentives under the program. Gluten-free diets are all the rage, but they can be dangerous if not done right. What is gluten? It´s the spongy complex of proteins, found naturally in wheat, rye, and barley, that gives elasticity to dough and allows it to rise. When flour is moistened and either kneaded or mixed into dough, gluten molecules form an elastic, microscopic latticework that traps the carbon dioxide produced when yeast ferments, causing dough to inflate like a hot air balloon. Baking hardens the gluten, which helps the finished product keep its shape. Wheat — and gluten — is ubiquitous in the American diet.

The bodies were discovered Friday outside Holbrook, a town of about 400 people just north of the Idaho-Utah state line. Authorities said a 2-month-old was found under the arm of one of the victims — 27-year-old Yavette Chivon Carter.

The new offering reflects the growing popularity of nuggets and strips that are easier to eat on the go, as well as Americans´ seemingly endless desire for more convenient foods. Climate change is expanding sea ice in Antarctica, a paradoxical finding that appears to be the result of melting glaciers, according to a new study. As freshwater glaciers melt, cold water sinks into the ocean, keeping the sea colder than it would otherwise be. The fresh water is less dense than seawater, so it floats on the top layer of the ocean, which in turn stays cooler. That makes it easier for the seas to freeze again in the Antarctic fall and winter, scientists say. This negative feedback is expected to continue, they added. Sea ice levels

Put out an all-points bulletin: Millions of Americans have gone missing from the workforce. Every month that those would-be workers are gone raises the odds that they might never come back, dimming the prospects for future economic growth. The vanishing trend is more than a decade old, but it accelerated during the Great Recession. Throughout 2012, economists held out hope that it had stopped. But then came Friday’s jobs report, and hopes were dashed. The Labor Department reported that the U.S. labor force — everyone who has a job or is looking for one — shrank
