John Kerry Seriously
Thinks It Was the Altitude

New York Magazine, by Dan Amira

Original Article

Posted By:Scottyboy, 10/25/2012 4:56:02 PM

Al Gore has been mocked relentlessly ever since half-seriously floating the suggestion that President Obama's pathetic performance in the first presidential debate could be chalked up to Denver's high altitude. Now John Kerry feels left out: Asked whether it surprised him that Obama gave such a lackluster performance in his first debate with Romney, Kerry said, “He knows he had a bad night. He just had a bad night. … I personally really do believe that the altitude may have had something to do with it.”

Comments:
Me thinks Kerry doth protest too much for Barry's debate losses. I think Kerry blames himself for being unable to think on the same level as Romney, hence 0bama's poor performances.

Then riddle me this Batman... why is it that people who snow ski at Copper Mountain or Keystone or the other Colorado mountains are able to make decisions on how to turn while speeding down the mountain... at a much higher elevation than Obama was?

Obama didn't have his teleprompter.. ergo.. he was dazed and confused.

Kerry, what a maroon!

It wasn't the altitude. It's that Zero practiced against a half-wit gigolo, which lulled him into a false sense of security, and then he had to debate a diligent, brilliant, accomplished businessman. (Everything that Jon F'n Carrion is not.)

Of course it was the altitude. Obama holds his nose so high that the air he breathes has less oxygen. That's the price of being disdainful of the rest of humanity.

I posted previously that I had watched the debate (via YouTube on my Apple TV) days after reading all of the comments. I thought President Obama was far more effective in the first debate than he was given credit for - far more. Where he was far less effective was the final debate - he absolutely looked un-presidential.

Some folks may recall the 1990 AFC Championship game between the Broncos and the Browns ("The Fumble" game). The Browns asked, and received, permission from the NFL to arrive in Denver only 24 hours before the game, when 48 hours were stipulated by league rules.

The reason, according to team doctors, was because the less time you spend in the altitude prior to your performance, the less the altitude will affect your performance.

Seems that Zero and his co-dependents really don't understand altitude and performance. (In more ways than one).

Just a brief FACT : President Obama lied about
an article that Mr Romney had written in the New York Times related to the GM bankruptcy,
during the third debate. The truth about Mr. Romney's article was immediately brought out by various media. The next day, at a campaign event, Obama repeated the lie. In a nutshell, this is the man who is our president. Totally
unworthy with low morals, low ethics, and a high capacity to tell lies for his own ends.

While Obama is blaming John Kerry for his poor performance in Debate One, and John Kerry is in turn blaming Denver's high altitude, the people of Colorado seem to be blaming the Democrats for insulting Denver by implying it's not a good place for people to use their brains effectively.

As if the citizens of mile-high Denver must have to go through life with lower IQs than those who live in cities with lower altitudes, like Detroit.

A month ago, before the debates, polls were showing Obama leading Romney in Colorado by 6 points; in the latest poll, Romney is leading Obama by 4 points. It's not going to help Obama if John Kerry keeps bringing up the altitude issue, but can anyone keep him quiet?

If my memory serves me and hasn't been destroyed due to my many plane flights, aren't jets (including AF One) pressurized at the equivalent altitude of something like 8,000 feet above sea level due to the structural limitations of aluminum bodies? And if they are isn't 8,000 feet higher that mile high city and if so shouldn't Obama be a total wreck each time he departs AF One if this "altitude" excuse holds thin air? Maybe all his time in AF One is the reason he is always confused, distracted and needing others to say what he really means.

As we now move into the official Political Aftermath period of the Boston bombing — the period that will determine the long-term legislative fallout of the atrocity — the dynamics of privilege will undoubtedly influence the nation’s collective reaction to the attacks. That’s because privilege tends to determine: 1) which groups are — and are not — collectively denigrated or targeted for the unlawful actions of individuals; and 2) how big and politically game-changing the overall reaction ends up being.

Mark Kelly, the husband of former Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (D-Ariz.), is threatening to back an election challenge against Sen. Jeff Flake if the Arizona Republican votes against legislation to expand background checks. At a Christian Science Monitor breakfast on Tuesday, Kelly said he would back an opponent to Flake if the "right candidate" was available and if the senator failed to support a background check bill, according to reports. Flake, who is not up for reelection until 2018, has been close to Kelly and Giffords. But Kelly said the issue of control trumped their ties.
