| Why is Mitt Romney rising? Americans who watched the GOP nominee debate President Obama never met the cold, greedy, sexist, racist, carcinogenic tax cheat that Team Obama promised would appear. The calm, steady, and reasonable gentleman who opposed Obama was no Gordon Gekko. Americans might like Romney even more if they understood his random acts of kindness and significant feats of bravery.

Unlike ...with the current president, I do not fear having a President Romney/Vice-President Ryan.
It is time in 11 days to change course, to reestablish decency and a positive outlook for America. I am tired of the snarkiness. I am tired of the false and constant false attacks of racism. I am tired of liberals who want a defeated American. I am tired of the Dems and others who think they are superior attacking my Mom and Dad, my family and my neighbors...because we love our country. I am tired of attacks on my religion.
I am tired being tired. I want to feel proud again.
I have told my wife I will get to the polls early on Tuesday. I have a very strong feeling that the lines to vote will be what I call "Chik Fil A" style from August.
Our college age daughter has alread cancelled out Obama's vote with a vote for Romney.

Obama calls him a BSer, using the actual term. This really illustrates how low a candidate will go when faced with overwhelming opposition. I'm ashamed of our prez and want a new one. A bright, shiny, unselfish new one.

The left simply must caricature Romney because they have no one like him on their side. Modesty and true philanthropy in the same individual are so far outside the average liberal's experience, that Mitt Romney might as well be from another planet.

RINO-hunting, the long-popular political sport that morphed in 2008 into a sort of hysteria-driven obsession, lately has become a suicide mission. RINO, of course, refers to Republicans In Name Only and is the pejorative term used against those who fail to march in lockstep with the so-called conservative base. I used “so-called” because, though the hard-right faction of the party tends to be viewed as The Base, this isn’t necessarily so. My guess is there are now more RINOs than those who, though evangelical in their zeal, are poison to their party’s ability to win national elections.

If you want to understand why President Obama was reelected despite a largely unsuccessful presidency and almost unprecedentedly high and continuous unemployment, just look at the Cuban-American vote. (Snip) Democratic presidential nominees went from 25 percent of the Cuban-American vote in 2000, to 29 percent in 2004, to 35 percent in 2008, to 48 percent in 2012. We obviously have a dramatic trend here. Now, why would that be? There are two reasons: No experience of evil, and American education. The first generation of Cuban-Americans had escaped Communist evil.

Over the last couple of weeks, there has been great concern, whether sincere or fake, over the Republican “tone.” I find all this kind of dumb. Charles Murray argues, admittedly impressionistically, that the Republican party’s social conservatism is turning off Asian Americans. Asians who became successful because everyone in the family worked two or three jobs (a common strategy behind Asian success) are likely to be offended by the liberal “You didn’t build that” mentality. Unlike every other minority group, Asians owe nothing to the Democrats for affirmative action. In a stunning end to one of the most aggressively unsuccessful tenures in retail history, JCPenney (JCP) last night announced that CEO Ron Johnson would be leaving effective immediately. Myron Ullman, Johnson´s predecessor at JCPenney, takes office as CEO. When Johnson was initially wooed by JCPenney, it was to serve as CEO with Ullman as Chairman. In January 2012, Ullman was unceremoniously removed from the board. Gone with Ullman was any control the Board of Directors had over Ron Johnson and his control of JCPenney resources.
