| Gloria Allred dropped her big October surprise this week. The news about Mitt Romney's testimony in a divorce is a little anti-climactic, but Allred is getting tons of press nonetheless. How does she manage to take up so much of the spotlight? Here's a quick history of her ascent. Allred, a former high school teacher, graduated from LA's Loyola Law School when she was almost 33 years old. She went on to become a representative for the National Organization of Women, according to this New York Magazine profile.

The two aren't mutually exclusive, #4. (Hating men but being married with kids). I've met a few over the years who fit that description. One even bragged that she had sex with a guy only in hopes of having a daughter she could raise in the same vein, or a son she could raise to become a woman.
It reminded me of Glenn Close's character in The World According to Garp, and it still gives me a shiver to remember her.

Boston - Russian authorities secretly wiretapped a conversation between a man believed to be one of the Boston Marathon bombing suspects and his mother in 2011 discussing the idea of jihad, a U.S. counter-terrorism official said Saturday. Pretending to be modern Paul Reveres, Democrats and their media handmaidens are doing their damnedest to diminish the Benghazi revelations with the cheapest trick in town.
