Yawn. It was cold and windy here last night. Note crowd size - not even the SEIU or the Culinary could get all their peeps out for that.
Our local paper that shall not be named published a half-page above-the-fold photo on Sunday of several happy SEIU voters (all minorities) on the first day of early voting in Nevada. The story was the SEIU got their members together for a rally, then all went to vote en masse. Top story on Sunday.
R&R appeared here on Tuesday. Wednesday's reportage? Front page, above the fold, top story... but the photo? One column by 2 inches. Postage-stamp size.
What’s the bigger story? Union members who vote en masse for Obama? Or the actual LEADING challenger candidates, together in Las Vegas for the first time, two weeks out from Election Day, at their biggest rally yet?
This paper that shall not be named also published their endorsements in the same Sunday edition ... 95% Republican. But the endorsements were hidden in the opinion pages.... where only some see it. The rest of Las Vegas sees the photos on the front page, above the fold.

The team found that being left alone to breed on its own was key. The discovery raises hope that other damaged reefs could ´regenerate´. The new research shows that an isolated reef off the northwest coast of Australia that was severely damaged by a period of warming in 1998. It was hit by coral bleaching, caused by higher water temperatures that break down the coral´s symbiotic relationship with algae that provide food for coral growth.
