I hope it works out that way, but my concern's not so much the House...is a takeover of that bastion of bloviating gasbags - the US Senate. We get Romney, Ryan, AND the Senate...we're on cruise control baby! I hope a Romney/Ryan executive branch will take a look at EVERY nickel the Federal government (meaning WE) shells out and cranks up the chainsaw. Any of the old guard GOP swine that balks at returning DC to what the founding fathers intended...send em' packin' next time around.

When these writers say "big gains...since Romney won his first debate" I have to say that it's really not the win as much as it's the fact that the American public actually got to see the man. Our media does every thing it can to make the GOP challenger look as negative as possible to the "useful idiots" who watch the evening news trying to figure out who to vote for. The only chance conservatives have is the uninterrupted, unedited & uncherry-picked hour & a half the debates provide.
I predict that if Romney does tromp Obama, the MSM will figure out a way to refuse to televise debates in the next election cycle. They'll claim everybody can tune in to C-
Span, or go online, etc.
Even if all three had been a tie, Romney would be gaining momentum!

I really have no doubt that if this comes to pass and the dems lose more seats in the House that Nasty Nan will lose her leadership position. I would like to have the vote televised with a camera fixed on her. You know going back to just one of the few (was going to say many) will kill her ego.

President Barack Obama’s advocacy organization Organizing for Action (OFA) raised over $4.8 million from first-quarter donors, including the chairman of a major lobbying firm, wealthy progressives affiliated with the secretive Democracy Alliance, and a member of popular 1990s hip-hop group the Fugees, according to a list of first quarter contributors released by the group today. OFA has agreed to disclose limited information about its $250-and-up donors on a quarterly basis. MOSCOW – Russia slapped sanctions on a pair of former top Bush administration officials, two former commanders of the Guantanamo detention center, and 14 other Americans in retaliation for a set of human rights sanctions the Obama administration imposed on a number of Russian citizens on Friday. President Barack Obama and his wife, Michelle, paid the lowest effective tax rate since they moved into the White House by taking advantage of the most popular — and expensive — benefits in the tax code. Tax returns released by the White House on Friday show that the Obamas paid an effective tax rate of 18.4 percent on more than $608,000 in adjusted gross income earned in 2012. Last year, their rate was 20.5 percent. They were able to lower the amount of income on which they were taxed by more than $258,000 by claiming several big-ticket deductions.

Only one of my six children has left New York for economic reasons but the strain of living in this expensive nanny state is weighing heavy on my other five and their families. As a native New Yorker, I´ve seen its middle class population decline over the years due to its neglect of blue collar families which is ironic since this is a Democrat city. With the recent arrests of several local politicians for corruption perhaps New Yorkers will pay more attention to those they put in office. Given their past indifference in local elections this is highly unlikely.

Pro golfers, golf writers, and TV commentators are up in arms that Tiger Woods was only given a 2-stroke penalty for his illegal drop on the 15th hole yesterday. Tiger said last night that he dropped his ball two yards behind his previous spot, clearly violating the rule that you must drop "as nearly as possible" to your original spot. Golf people are not happy about it. They say that the new rule is B.S. (or it´s at least being misinterpreted), and Tiger should DQ himself to save the integrity of the game.

LOS ANGELES — Jonathan Winters, the cherub-faced comedian whose breakneck improvisations and misfit characters inspired the likes of Robin Williams and Jim Carrey, has died. He was 87. The Ohio native died Thursday evening at his Montecito, Calif., home of natural causes, said Joe Petro III, a longtime family friend. Petro said Winters died of natural causes and was surrounded by family and friends.
