Obama reveals victory hopes rely on
'Latino community' rejecting Romney
in candid off-the-record comments
he didn't want made public

Daily Mail [UK], by Toby Harnden

Barack Obama has indicated that he believes his re-election prospects rest on a big turnout among Hispanic voters - not necessarily in support of him, but because they have been turned off by Republicans and Mitt Romney. He made his controversial remarks in a conversation with journalists which he demanded should be 'off the record' but which were made public after an editor complained about the unprecedented request. 'Should I win a second term, a big reason I will win a second term is because the Republican nominee and the Republican Party have so alienated the fastest-growing demographic group in the country

No because I Obama will pander to this community, and promise them "Full Amnesty", which will NEVER happen later !!!

The knee padders at the newspaper felt the need to bash Congressman Boehner. They thought they were safe in not having their interview made public.

Then, of course, O reneged on his demand and they were caught on their knee pads.

No doubt they believe O had something worthwhile to say and will dutifully endorse him again.

Obama is smart enough to know that off the record rarely gets honored. This is a subtle rallying cry to La Raza to get out the illegal vote.

The Democrats make sure it's the fastest growing group possible. I'm sure they are confident that they will control them.

Unfortunately Spanish language television is maybe even more liberal than our media. If we ever want to win another election we'd better get busy explaining to hispanics that they are, in fact, conservative. There are so many examples. They have no idea Obama is pro-abortion. Unless they watched the Univision special they've never heard of Fast and Furious. I could go on.

Thanks # 6.

I see plenty of illegals on the corner willing to work.

Do not see any Obamaphone types.

And here is a serious question, why has the AM Radio dial turned into Spanish language stations only?

Why are the public airwaves being given to them?

Yes, we need a massive effort to get on these stations and convince them they are really Conservatives deep down.

I'm sorry, I think the newspaper was engaging in theater with Obama. They made a thing about how he wanted the convo private and then he suddenly changes his mind? When does Obama care about what the media wants? So they get to publish this interview that is basically all Obama talking points with no evidence of anything he might have wanted kept confidential. Ridiculous.

Illegal is illegal. It's pathetic that Mexican illegals are a major a must-pander-to group now. It does not matter how hard-working, it's about illegal. GOP better address the Hispanic community all right. They should say they should not be treated as if they are another special interest group where laws do not matter.

In the age of miniature cameras and recording devices, nothing a candidate says or does is candid or off-the-record any more. There is always someone who will leak it, at the right price. This is what is really killing the Democrat's abilities to misinform.

Ding dong, the Soviet Union is dead! Ding dong, communism is dead! And so is the British disease. They are all dead as doornails--the myth of this country’s inevitable decline, the habit of capitulating to the unions, the belief in state control of everything from motor manufacturers to removals firms, taxation rates at 98 percent: all the Lefty nostrums of the post-war epoch. Ding dong! Old Labour’s dead! The Labour Party has given up its ridiculous belief in the common ownership of the means of production, distribution and exchange--the slogan that used to be printed on the back

Hundreds of thousands more patients are being forced to wait longer than four hours for emergency care as A&E departments across the country struggle due to closures and staff shortages. Official NHS data reveals a growing crisis in England’s A&E wards with one in every three patients now waiting four hours or more for emergency treatment in the worst affected areas. The figures, released by the Department of Health on Friday, show that during the week up to April 7, 33,225 patients were forced to wait longer than four hours compared with 13,081 in the same week

Down, down inside the Pyongyang Metro stands a statue of the Eternal Ruler of North Korea, Generalissimo Kim Il Sung – dead these past 19 years but still calling the shots. Brainwashing cast in bronze. The regime’s florid propaganda blares from loudspeakers: ‘The pure white snows of our sacred mountains’ artillery will wipe the filthy enemy from existence.’ Or something like that. COLUMBIA—South Carolina’s unemployment agency will lay off 100 employees in June as part of a statewide reorganization that directs anyone seeking jobless benefits to use its upgraded online system, the agency’s interim director announced. John Finan said the Department of Employment and Workforce will eliminate one-on-one help with unemployment claims on June 10, and the number of local offices offering job training and other re-employment services will shrink. Exactly how many of those 56 offices remain open past June will depend on decisions made by the state’s 12 workforce investment boards, he said.

A single half-muffled bell will toll from St Paul’s to greet the funeral cortege of Baroness Thatcher on Wednesday. In front of the coffin, Michael and Amanda Thatcher will lead the procession for their beloved grandmother. They will carry on cushions the Order of the Garter and the Order of Merit, two of the highest honours the Queen can bestow. [Snip] The ceremonial funeral, meticulously planned by the former prime minister, reveals her profound Christian faith. A strong Methodist upbringing was the bedrock from which Lady Thatcher built her political creed of self-reliance and personal responsibilty.

The last portrait of Margaret Thatcher, showing her relaxing on a deckchair in the London garden of the Chelsea Pensioners’ Home, is revealed today. It is a far cry from all previous imposing official paintings of the Iron Lady with her steely blue eyes radiating power. Here, she is like any other pensioner, frail but at ease, whiling away her last days rereading one of her favourite books, with a comforting blanket draped over the back of the chair in case the sun goes in. Most poignant of all, it is also the spot where her ashes will be buried

Tiger said last night that he dropped his ball two yards behind his previous spot, clearly violating the rule that you must drop "as nearly as possible" to your original spot. Golf people are not happy about it. They say that the new rule is B.S. (or it´s at least being misinterpreted), and Tiger should DQ himself to save the integrity of the game.

Few Americans can not answer this question: who is the worst domestic mass murderer in United States’ history? Due to the United States media, most are aware that Timothy McVeigh slaughtered 168 people with a bomb in 1995. Most Americans also know the names of our three most monstrous serial killers: “The Green River Killer” Gary Ridgeway, Ted Bundy, John Wayne Gacy. The U.S. media is again responsible for the general awareness of these men; these stories deserved — and received — national attention due to our common interest in personal safety, the rule of law

In Philadelphia, at a human abattoir on Lancaster Avenue, is where it ends, not where it starts. It starts with the perversion of language. It starts when the icons of a dissipated culture reduce a baby to a “fetus.” From there, Yeats’s blood-dimmed tide rolls rapidly in. Before long, a baby is not a person but a punishment, as President Barack Obama framed the matter in his familiar off-the-cuff iciness. Here is something I don’t understand: liberals are often revealed as vile, vulgar hatemongers–not all of them, of course, but far too many–yet they never seem to pay a penalty at the polls. Why is that? Margaret Thatcher’s death has been the latest occasion for the Left to show its true stripes. All across the U.K., there have been demonstrations–vulgar at best, and violent at worst. In Bristol, lefties celebrating a Thatcher “death street party” started fires, destroyed property and battled police: This evening in Trafalgar Square, liberals have turned out for a long-planned celebration of Thatcher’s death:

With President Obama, there’s always a catch. In the 2014 budget he announced last week, Obama proposed a more accurate way of calculating the inflation rate for annual cost-of-living increases in Social Security. It’s a technical change in pursuit of honesty and good government. And if adopted, it would cause benefits to grow more slowly, though almost imperceptibly so. Republican leaders in Congress ought to be delighted since they had “championed”—Obama’s word—the idea in the first place. Then came the catch. The president’s price for adopting this gentle reform was hundreds of billions in new tax increases.
