Well, the November sweeps are coming up soon, so I suppose Trump felt a stunt like this would help him in the ratings. his last "big" announcement coincided with the May sweeps. What a remarkable coincidence. Romney is wise to keep this clown at arm's length.

Have posted this, but I believe this stunt will put pressure on the Empty Chair. Just think how many voters have no idea the that the "most transparent president in history" has not done what his predecessors have done.

At the very least, an interesting election season just got more interesting.

I have a hunch that this is not what was originally planned by the Donald. Something scared him off his original plan and he checked down to this cash award, which is easy for him to do.

I agree # 8 this is not the announcement that would have changed the election as Trump claimed. This is nothing, and you have to wonder what he had and maybe he was "encouraged" strongly to not rock the Romney/Ryan boat.

This will be totally ignored except by Fox&Friends as well it should be. Trump's a publicity chasing ego maniac. Mitt and Romney NEVER should have gone chasing off to Vegas (I think it was) to even acknowledge Trump's endorsement.

I'm not sure this isn't a t*t-for-tat message that the Romney campaign is prepared for any carnival actions zippy's team wants to throw at them - such as alred.

And zippy's campaign really can't comment on it except to acknowledge it is true and have an excuse why they want them hidden.

Trump should have designated some Obama constituents, such as Black colleges. This would add pressure to O from these groups who can claim that O denied them 5 million.

Trump's mistake is trying to make a show of it. The request is valid even if the method is questionable. Nobody would be questioning this if it was a Republican hiding something and a democrat demanding its release. They'd be like pirannahs who hadn't had a meal in a month.

If I were a good deal more credulous I would have expected more of Trump, who is a prime purveyor of Wagyu-quality bullsqueeze, although at some level I do respect a character who manages to milk, knead, compress, twist, and steamroller a saleable public image out of, essentially, nothing.

It is hard to believe Trump thinks there is any chance whatever that Obama would take him up on this offer, which is perhaps intended simply to draw attention once more to the issue shortly before the election.

Lame. This changes nothing. Obummer ignores it, and we still move to November 6 with the election remaining what it should be about: the epic failure of the Obama Administration.

Agree that Donald should have chosen the charity, like Breast Cancer Research or AIDS research. Then all could see that Obama is all talk and no action in his support of women's causes and the LGBT community could understand just how committed he is to their cause.
