| NEW YORK -- It’s a landslide for President Barack Obama—at least among people too young to vote. Nickelodeon’s Linda Ellerbee said Monday that the president captured 65 percent of the vote to beat Republican Mitt Romney in the network’s “Kids Pick the President” vote. More than 520,000 people cast online ballots through the children’s network’s website over one week earlier this month. Since it began in 1988, the kids have presaged the adults’ vote all but once, when more youngsters voted for John Kerry over George W. Bush in 2004.

Is this as valuable endorsement as Castro, Chavez, Putin, and Honey Boo Boo?
Do we assume that the leadership levels are on par with each other?

Then their voices change. Puberty kicks in and a few of them mature and see socialism as the brain cancer that it is. They vote republican. The others remain in the larval state for decades being fed and cared for by others. They vote for whatever corrupt slug the democrat crime machine puts in front of them.

Cute as it may be to some adults, it is a serious misunderstanding to suppose that the opinions of children on grownup concerns are worth anyone's attention. Pretending such a thing gives children a false and exaggerated idea of their knowledge and competence. It is exactly the wrong message to give them and others. Political decisions are among the most complex, difficult, doubtful and significant choices people can make. Experience, wisdom, judgment, and knowledge are needed, all of which children by definition lack.
As far as the results of this online poll go, there is of course not the slightest reason to think that it is honest, representative, or valid. But even if it were confined to children it would be foolish and misguided for the reasons above.

This info does not surprise me at all. Who do children spend most of their time with. School teachers. Union school teachers. Liberal school teachers. In the bag for OBAMA school teachers. Good thing that kids can't vote. IN FACT, I think the voting age should be a minimum of 21 years and you should have a job and be paying taxes. Should also include either military service and/or community service to the state.

First, #33 cracked me up. Second, I'm with #9. My conservative kids aren't soaking up electronic media all afternoon and evening -- they have sports practice for 2 hours after school, then homework, dinner, etc. The 14 year old is wiped out by 8:30 and sends himself to bed. Tonight the older one will be tied up with his Eagle Scout Board of Review (!!). They see through the crap and tell it like it is. Happily, the older one will be 18 and able to vote on election day!!

HOLLYWOOD — Republican leaders plotted their party’s political comeback on Thursday with plans to court minority voters and modernize their political operations. But some wondered if one person could make it all for naught: Hillary Clinton. As attendees of the Republican National Committee’s spring meeting debated party rules and a refurbished GOP brand capable of winning back the White House, more than two dozen operatives and officials expressed worry that none of their party’s potential 2016 candidates can take her down. One early-state RNC member put it simply

The airline industry is warning that passengers would shoulder the financial burden if Congress backs new taxes on tickets and air carriers in the Obama Administration’s budget proposal. “The president’s budget represents an unprecedented tax grab on the backs of airlines and their customers, who already pay more than their fair share of taxes,” Nicholas E. Calio, president of the industry trade group Airlines for America, said in a statement Thursday.

Kerry also warned Pyongyang that firing a medium-range missile would be a "provocative and unwanted act." “Kim Jong Un needs to understand, as I think he probably does, what the outcome of a conflict would be,” Kerry said. “Our hope is we can get back to talks."

An April 11 picture from North Korea (DPRK) shows female soldiers patrolling along the Yalu River in 4-inch platform heels. Given that DRPK leader Kim Jong-un has South Korea, Japan, and the U.S. on high alert amid hints of a ballistic missile test and threats of nuclear war, this is a strange sight. Usually the bizarre images coming out of the Hermit Kingdom come from propaganda videos, but sometimes we get shots like this and the one showing Kim´s logitech mouse.

In her remarkable life, Margaret Thatcher achieved what Hillary Rodham Clinton still wants (or at least what the pundits say she wants): She became the first female leader of her country, and she did it in such a determined way that her sex was almost an afterthought. In many respects, the two women are profoundly different. Thatcher, who died Monday at 87, was a self-described "conviction politician" and arch-conservative who channeled Milton Friedman and bonded fiercely with "Ronnie" Reagan, her great pal and partner on the world stage as the Cold War came to an end.

The withdrawal came less than a week after medical school Dean Paul B. In the message he issued along with his budget proposal on Wednesday morning, President Barack Obama said he wants to see 4-year-old children in the United States enrolled in public schools. Obama said America needs to start enrolling 4-year-olds to make sure the children are “better prepared for the demands of the global economy” and to help parents save on "child-care costs." After saying the United States needs to “equip our citizens with the skills and training” to fill jobs in manufacturing, energy and infrastructure, Obama said, “And that has to start at the earliest possible age.”

In 2011, the journalist Mara Hvistendahl published Unnatural Selection: Choosing Boys Over Girls, and the Consequences of a World Full of Men, detailing the societal effects of sex-selective abortions that target women the world over and resulted in the absence of perhaps more than 100 million girls who by now should have been born. But Hvistendahl soon learned the downside to uncovering what many believe to be a shocking trend in human rights offenses: people will want to do something about it. And so she lashed out, declaring that “anti-abortion activists

Is Anthony Weiner completely delusional? Or is he out of his flipping, sex-crazed gourd? Whatever big-busted fantasies crawl around the ex-congressman’s delirious noggin, la Weiner made his next goal as clear as the skin of the wholesome college students he craved: He relishes being Mayor Weiner. Please, shut up this clown. These days, the genitally obsessed Weiner has nothing much to do, except sit in his lavish Manhattan apartment and — the inhumanity! — change the poopy diapers of his 16-month-old son, Jordan. Worse, Weiner is living under a kind of house arrest, sentenced to take extreme grief

Seven hundred Military Special Operations professionals. And one insistent and very angry Mom. This is becoming a deadly combination for the political game players in the Obama Administration. Sean Smith, the young State Department computer wizard who was brutally murdered that September night in Benghazi, was Pat Smith’s only child. Let’s say that again. Sean Smith was Mrs. Smith’s only child. To listen to her recent radio interview with another Sean… Sean Hannity… is to have the heart break.

During the Q and A session after Sen. Rand Paul’s speech at Howard University, one student explained that he was not a fan of his view of government. “You say you want to provide a government that leaves us alone, quite frankly, I don’t want that,” the student said. “I want a government that is going to help me.” The student insisted that he wanted assistance for his college education and asked if Rand Paul supported a culture change within the nation. “Do you Sen. Infant beheadings. Severed baby feet in jars. A child screaming after it was delivered alive during an abortion procedure. Haven´t heard about these sickening accusations? It´s not your fault. Since the murder trial of Pennsylvania abortion doctor Kermit Gosnell began March 18, there has been precious little coverage of the case that should be on every news show and front page. The revolting revelations of Gosnell´s former staff, who have been testifying to what they
