| We look at these debates principally when it comes to effecting our vote at the attitude, tone and sense of the debate and we also look at it in terms of the specifics of the debate. Tonight it looks like while Gov. Romney may have "lost" the debate, he looked like a Commander in Chief and presented himself in a presidential way with the president's tone being much too aggressive and petulant and oftentimes times downright nasty. The tone of the debate and how you present yourself matters a lot.

Am I the only one who noticed that Barry and wife exited the stage quickly? It seemed like Ann and Mitt stayed to mix with the crowd.
I am also sick and tired of this "reaching across the aisle" mind set. Mitt mentioned it in his closing remarks. I guess that's a sop to the undecided voters. But why are the Reps the ones who always talk about this? How'd that bipartisanship work for Obamacare?
No. We need to DEFEAT them on the battleground of ideas. Is this how Massachusetts got Romneycare, by the way?
Romeny wasn't my first choice. But I am giving money to his campaign; as much as I responsibly can as a school teacher, father of 6.
Romney MUST WIN.

Some of the folks on the radio this morning were dissapointed that Romney didn't attack N∅bama over the Bengazi disaster.
But I have the very real feeling that that is what N∅bama spent a lot of his time preparing for. I'm sure he used every speach writer he could to come up with some sort of ''zinger'' reply (along the lines of ''you are no John Kennedy'') for when Romney attacked him on that.
But Romney denied him that moment, and you know it had to kill N∅bama that he had to take that zinger home with him.
Obviously, N∅bama minunderestimated Mr. Romney. And, God willing, it will cost N∅bama re-election!!!!!!!

I think Rove is confusing his Louis. XIV was masterful and ran things. XVI was ineffective, but well-meaning. Neither was an Obama.
And it's an insult to Marie Antoinette to compare her to Mooch.

Romney won. First he made no mistakes and looked Presidential. Second, hundreds of thousands listened to him for the first time without being told what to think by people who overwhelmingly support Obama. Romney kept his base and changed minds. So Romney won.

White House officials have decided to go ahead with annual garden tours this year despite sequester cuts, an official familiar with the decision tells POLITICO. Tours of the White House itself remained canceled because the cuts have left Secret Service short on manpower to staff them. Arizona Gov. Janice Brewer has signed a law providing strong new restrictions on the use of so-called "seclusion rooms" in schools – closet-sized rooms where children with behavioral disabilities such as autism were being locked up as punishment. "It is chilling to imagine an Arizona school child being shut away in a padded room, no larger than a closet, for hours on end," Brewer said after signing the law Friday. "There has to be a better way." With the new law, Arizona will join more than 30 other states that impose rules on the restraint of students in public schools.

The U.S. Senate has confirmed Mary Jo White´s nomination as chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission, clearing the way for her to become the first former prosecutor to lead the agency that oversees Wall Street. White was swiftly approved Monday by a voice vote in the Senate. President Barack Obama nominated White for the job. She was the U.S. attorney in Manhattan from 1993 through 2002. Recent research indicates that the number of people who do not consider themselves a part of an organized religion is steadily on the rise. Interestingly enough, though the number of those religiously unaffiliated is increasing, there is little to no trend in the number of those who express atheist or agnostic beliefs. People aren’t saying they don’t believe in God. They’re saying they don’t believe in religion. They are not rejecting Christ. They are rejecting the church. This begs the question, “Why are we losing our religion?”
